  1. Wasn't this revealed when it said she was the one who used a fall on a Snoop Dogg video as an excuse to be admitted to the hospital for an abortion?

  2. I didn't need to know this.

  3. thats a hell of a thing to reveal there bacon boy

  4. For all we know, Lufti's lawyer could be planning on revealing it in court. For some reason, I'd rather hear it from Enty than that sleaze ball.

  5. This is sad. I don't think this should have been revealed. Way too personal. Makes me feel sick that this was revealed.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yeah, didn't need to know that.

    ReplyDelete
  7. And you realize the physical he was referring to was how HIV was discovered. So basically Ent has outed Brit for two big things.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yeah, I don't like that this was revealed either.

  10. This really crosses the line. Whether it's true or not, it's not our business. Stick to superficial gossip, Enty.

#1 During a required physical last week this singer indicated she is HIV+. If you follow the partners and they were not safe, this could lead to some incredible revelations during the next year.

  12. I agree with everyone, we didn't need to know that.
AndI call it bs on the HIV thing...

  13. @Andy, I see your point. And this was the day before this blind was posted...
That's an awaful reveal, Enty!!! =(

  14. Everyone's become Chris Crocker. "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!"

  15. I'm glad she didn't go forward with the pregnancy. She's screwed up enough without inflicting her brand of ODD on another child

    ReplyDelete
  16. Shouldn't things like abortons be private?

Britney has had a rough go and has a mental illness that she has to deal with for the rest of her life, so I don't think it's fair to pile more crap on her.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Andy is right. Sad. We shouldn't know this.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ya I could have done without knowing this, but I bet it will be revealed in court and I too would rather hear it from Enty. Sad, but glad she did not have another child with some random dude she met at a gas station of worse, LUFTI!

  19. Strawberry girl- things like abortions are kept private. This is either speculation or BS

  26. I don't think you crossed the line Enty, it's facts, and I'm totally on Sam Lufti's team, she wanted out, she wanted to do things on her terms, and he was trying to help her...her family is the one who has her held captive

  27. I wonder sometimes if it would be good or bad if women who had abortions came out and we could support each other and drive up the pro choice movement, kind of like more gays coming out now. No I'm not comparing being gay to having an abortion, just how both groups have "members" who are afraid to admit it publicly. Like right now there's the It Gets Better thing, would there ever be things like that for abortion? I bet IF, it would be a long time away. Again I'm NOT comparing being gay which is not a choice to choosing an abortion so please, no fake fights.

  28. If you really feel like "we shouldn't know this", then FFS get off a gossip site that features blinds! Blinds are blind for a reason; because the truth isn't pretty. Britney's truth is particularly unpretty. Accept that by coming here, you are part of the machine.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't understand some of you. This is a celebrity gossip website that is known for revealing often-times personal blind items. Where is this imaginary line that Enty is supposed to follow that explains what is and is not acceptable to share? You can't enjoy the rest without also reading/enduring things that you wish you didn't know.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't understand all the hate for enty. Y'all do know what kind of site you're on, right?

  32. I know that the comments are not personally to me but since I'm one of the people who didn't think this should've been reveled I wanna comment. I'm not hating on Enty. I'm well aware this is a gossip site but I think that some things doesn't need to be outted like an abortion or someone being gay.
I'm not gonna stop coming to the site but I may say so if I don't agree with something. I'm not being rude or anything I just didn't think this should've been reveled.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I have a feeling if this were about any body else the protests would be minimal--but Britney seems to have a lot of fans and supporters. I for one can't stand her fake ass singing or her messed up personal life.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Never been a fan of Britney, but there comes a time when even the uninterested like me say for fucks sake leave the girl alone. Not to get my mascara in a twist, but she's obviously been through a lot, been used and abused by lots of scummy people and has been left permanently scarred. Lufti seems like a truly horrible person and is looking to get paid one way or another. Some people are beyond contemptible. Still, if this reveal is true it is now out there and means he won't be able to blackmail her over it, and she gets public sympathy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @katsm0711 lol!!
I know!! I thought it was funny because I always try to explain so I don't get misinterpreted... like I just did in a post above, lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. I said above I didn't need to know this - it's because Britney seems to be in such a fragile state that it wouldn't take much to make things much worse for her. If this had been revealed about some relatively stable actress, I wouldn't have cared. I just don't like the idea of making someone's mental stability worse. I don't dislike or particularly like her - just think she's had a rough time and this isn't the time to drag up any more personal stuff that's probably irrelevant.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Too far. At least some time elapsed.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Car54, a long time ago (like 5 or 7 years) when Britney began her public acting out, quickie marriages, and other silly behaviors, there was a young man named Chris Crocker who made a video called 'Leave Britney Alone'. Recently, someone made a parody of that and called it 'Leave Kristen Alone'. Feel free to google as necessary, but I just wanted you to be clear on which came first in the history of things. :)

  39. I love blind items, super fun, and it's up to readers to provide feedback re: content. Each reader is free to share their opinion. This blind is where the line gets drawn for me, and it's also realistic that other people have "the line" above or below mine.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I can't speak for everyone, but there's just something distasteful about revealing something so personal that happened during an episode of untreated mental illness.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @LadyLagerfeld - you put into words what I was trying to say. It's like kicking someone when they're down.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree that revealing abortions should be in the same category as outing someone; not done

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks ENTY! Ive been waiting and waiting and waiting for this reveal! I do not forget all the clues and people have given me a hard time because I've always brought up the HIV+ American Pop Star and now here it is! Next just reveal MV and I'll be forever happy. Hugs and kisses!

  45. So, there's a new Audrey on this site (welcome, audrey!).

On topic, we've seen A LOT of private info on this site. If you're not ready to read more, than don't look at the site. I'm sadder about her HIV status than the abortion, quite honestly.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Outing medical issues and outing someone's sexuality are in the same category. Enty, you crossed that fine line today.

Enty, you differentiated your site from other trashy gossip sites, which is why you have a loyal following of long-term readers/posters. Please do not mess this up by going for low-hanging fruit.

I'm pro-life, but don't think the government should be able to dictate that's orator control over a woman's body. However, as someone who has had miscarriages and has known women who have had abortions, there needs to be extensive therapy that goes with it. I know a lot of women who have chosen to get an abortion and have never recovered from the emotional pain and guilt of their choice. I'm not trying to start a political bitchfest, I just think there needs to be help for these women if they choose to have one. Britney is clearly a fragile person who needs extensive help. For her sake and her kids I hope she isn't HIV+ and will find a way out of this dark time.

  52. I agree that revealing this is very close to the bone, but as was said above, who is to say it won't brought up during this farce of a trial.

It was likely a heartbreaking but probably right choice to make at the time. My greatest fear is she wasn't the one to make it.

I wish she would find a doctor she trusts, grab her kids and live in the arse end of nowhere, away from the glare and stare of her fame. And without her hangers on. Just health, peace and quiet, raising her boys.

  56. Acting like this was wrong to reveal is why so many feel shameful for having one, OMG it's taboo! We don't speak of that! That is not discussed! It's all in the same vein as those comments. Get over it. It happens.

  57. I just think people have a soft spot for Brit. There is something so vulnerable and fragile about her that the pubic wants to protect her. I used to be annoyed by her but now I just want her to be happy and have a healthy life and never see her go thru what she went thru so publicly again.

  60. Why don't people want having abortions revealed? Why, are they ashamed? Perhaps if it's something they're ashamed of and want to keep secret and hidden and don't want other people to know they did then it's not something they should have done in the first place? Perhaps that's their conscience at work?Afterall, killing your baby isn't something to be proud of.

    2. @Pogue...

I don't want people to know who I'm having sex with. That doesn't mean I'm ashamed about having sex, as much as the morally superior among us wish it were so...it means it's none of your fucking business.

Nonetheless, I'm not nearly as up in arms about this as some; I think it will soon come up in trial and honestly, I think it makes her a more sympathetic figure.

    Dec 27 2007

    ReplyDelete
  62. I get why some are put off by this but I'm pretty certain this was revealed (in part) because it's all about to come out during the trial.

Another one of the many reasons her family didn't want her cleared to testify. Britney made her choices in life before she went off the rails, marrying and having babies and doing some serious drugs- while I cannot image what led her to that (aside from the money and access) I think it's fair to say an abortion wouldn't be a huge leap once all the gossip came to light back then.

    ReplyDelete

No one who has an abortion is proud of it. It's sad and personal, and nobody's business but the woman who has to go through a pregnancy, give birth and raise a child. What's even sadder are the kids I see every day that are ignored or abused. Don't get all righteous and political and sarcastic about what is an incredibly personal and not happy decision.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I answer your question with another question: are you ok with a sex crazed celeb with HIV running around screwing anybody including non famous people? she tours constantly.

    ReplyDelete
  71. @ Pogue - no, people don't want others to know because of judgmental people like you that refuse to acknowledge the difference between a baby and a fetus.

    ReplyDelete
  72. WOW. This was one of the biggest blinds on this site! This is a huge reveal. I thought at the time the guess was Amy Winehouse b/c no one could believe it was BS.

  77. Audrey----I have been around on this site for quite awhile. I was Audrey 2 for a time then Unknown. When I figured out how to change from Unknown to a name I went with lower case a so people would know the difference between me and you. I don't post all the time--just when I have something to say that isn't what has already been repeated over and over.

    ReplyDelete
  78. For the record, I don't tell people because I can't predict their reaction and not only can I not accurately convey every single reason I had for my decision but I am so secure in my choice and I wouldn't feel it's fair of anyone to put me down when they know zero details.

I AM confused how I feel about the reveal only bc of HIPA laws but nothing could stop me from devouring them. I guess I don't think there is a line to cross with celebs. And I'm aware of getting attacked for this, but u may have guessed that sometimes I think abortion is the responsible choice. SOMETIMES. And u only get one if it was pure carelessness. My personal view. Surprise, I'm a republican.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I always thought this blind was about Amy Winehouse too. It seemed to fit since we all saw poor Amy staggering around at 3am in December with barely any clothes on.

I wish Brit good health and hope nothing happens to her for her boys sake. Drugs today are able to keep patients alive much longer than previously. I think magic Johnson has been HIV+ for over 20 yrs now...

    ReplyDelete
  80. I freely admit that I am pro-life, and believe that abortion should not be used as a form of contraception, but only resorted to in certain circumstances. I completely get this. An HIV+ woman during a period of extreme mental instability and serious chemical abuse is likely making the right choice in this situation (or, rather, those around her are).

What I do NOT understand is the vast conspiracy of shame behind things like sexual preference, HIV status, and even the choice to have an abortion. If we perpetuate the secrecy of these things, how can they ever be expected to be accepted, instead of judged? By hiding these as "personal" or "private", we imply that they are inherently bad, and shameful.
I'm appalled at the reprehensible exploitation of women the abortion industry entails; but women have a legal right to a (far too) common medical procedure that the majority of Americans support.
I'm not gay; but if YOU are, it doesn't affect me or my life in any way, shape or form.
I'm not HIV+; but a lot of truly courageous people have brought us to a point where it can be managed as a chronic condition, and not the death sentence that it once was.

These are not dirty little secrets, they're realities of life. Why do we continue to treat them as things to be hidden and ashamed of?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Aww--this makes me so sad for Brit. But I wonder why a personal health issue (like HIV) would be brought up in court? I get it that Lutfi is an ass, but to reveal something like that seems so unnecessary to prove his point in a defamation case.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Elissa, that was beautifully said.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Now, everyone does know there is a disclaimer for this site that states some of the items are fabricated or exaggerated, right?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Although, I think people have a right to say if they think Enty crossed the line with this reveal. It's their opinion, and they have every right to it. We have a serious lack of limits in our society right now, and I think it's good when people stand up for what they believe in, as long as they aren't assholes about it. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Whocaresnow, you do know that Enty put that disclaimer up to avoid getting sued, right? (Although he obviously does exaggerate some things, I don't think he actually makes up blinds like this out of the blue.)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Anonymous2:58 PM

This blind doesn't phase me either way. When coupled with the blind item from the day before, well, that is a bit of a shocker, I'll be honest.

    ReplyDelete
  87. @katsm0711 - You don't understand what the pro-choice movement is really about. It's about PRIVACY! In fact, that was the basis of the Roe v. Wade decision - look it up. Women, actually all medical patients, have a right to privacy.
This blind crosses the line. And as far as the dippy who said, "If you don't like it, don't read it," it's two lines long. Any moron could read that in no time.
Karma is a bitch, Enty. Better be prepared to have someone out you as the pedophile you very well could be.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @Mrswife29, I suspect that he will use those things to paint her in a bad light. HIV+ = lots of casual sex/drug use. Abortion + no idea who the father is = huge slut. And he, being the kind compassionate soul that he is, and having absolutely no ulterior motives, felt compelled to step in to save this poor, struggling woman from herself.

We really should create some sort of medal for people like him. You know, what with Mother Teresa being gone, we have so few heroes left to look up to.

    ReplyDelete
  89. *hug* Katsm and anyone else that has gone through that. Just bc people can choose to make that decision, doesn't make it any easier to make. <3

  90. So, the BI subject indicated that she was HIV+.

Britney Spears seems to have said a lot of things during this time, not all true or even making sense. It could be that, due to her collapsing sanity, she was convinced she had every known disease, including AIDS.

    Enty, a pedophile?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Andy, I remember this original blind about the pop star like it was yesterday. As a matter of fact; it's what brought me to this site after seeing it mentioned elsewhere and having to see who this EntLawyer was.

I don't know why this blind was revealed at this time and can only suggest that because of Hippa Laws, maybe Enty knows its about to come out in court or maybe thinks that it will stop it from being used in court if people suspect people were talking about this years ago. I honestly don't know. But I wish I had the time to go back to the original posting and see how many people are offended today, who posted a guess that day be it Britney or Amy. And then all of the guesses of Amy after her death were just ridiculous.

It was pretty obvious to me that this was her even then, especially after she went completely bat shit, I knew it was from being newly diagnosed and feeling like her life was over. I know too well of what I speak.

And to the person who said something about sex crazed stars running around sexing everyone, since none of us knows anyone's sexual history that we've just met 30 minutes prior, it's probably a wise idea all around to take responsibility for onesself and protect the one life you were given, because literally putting your life in the hands of a stranger is not only not worth it, it's stupid as hell!

The other thing I'm interested in seeing is the hip hop guy that she slept with who supposedly infected her. I do remember something like that being connected to this blind at some point and I wonder who will suddenly disappear from public view if speculation begins to lead back to him.

  96. My Buddy, who is a pretty good looking guy, has a bread bakery in NYC, told me that he was driving down the west side highway at like 4 in the morning. At a red light, a big black suburban pulls up along side and the window rolls down and britney spears sticks her head out and tells him how she wants to part with him and for him to come party with her. when he told me the story back then, i was trying not to smirk and call him a liar. he's never been the kind of guy to lie like that, and hes my friend so i politely forgot all about it. throughout all of britneys meltdown i never once put any credence to the story. i just called him asked him if the story was true, and he swears it happened. by the way, he didn't go, they drove off from the light like a bat out of hell, and i doubt he'd have abandoned the bread run. so, i just want to say that there's no payoff to this story, except that after reading this, i just had a lightbulb moment and realize that my friends story was true. i feel bad for britney

He did this because once you figure out who MV is, it is fairly easy to figure out who Enty is. Just my two cents :)

  99. @katsm0711: I like your idea. We should come out.

I had an abortion when I was 22. I had just moved to the US on a temporary visa. My mother had died five weeks before. My dad was estranged from the family. My BF wanted nothing to do with it except to give compelling arguments for an abortion. The big name accounting firm at which I worked (Texas in the early 80s) was not going to live with an unmarried mother on their staff.

I had the abortion at six weeks. I cried so hard while they were prepping me that the doctor said he would not operate until I got a grip.

I got a grip. The next three days, I bled and had awful cramps, and I wanted to kill myself. My BF said, if I'd known how much this would have hurt you, I'd never have urged you to do this - he was a liar.

I remember my baby's tentative birthday. I know how old he would be each year.

Women do not throw a party when they have an abortion. They mourn forever.

If I'd had the baby, and sometimes I wish I had, very much wish I had, I'd have been thrown back to Europe with no support system, no way to raise him and work at the same time.

It was too much for me to cope with at the time. The loss of my mother was so recent. People back then did not accept unmarried mothers.

I don't agree that all women who have early abortions mourns forever. I did at 20. I totally feel relief it was n option for me.Maybe you have so much guilt from your culture ( being in Texas ) but let it go. There are many of us who just are happy its over, move on and be more careful in the future. I am in my 30 s now and have 3 kids. It was a zygote, ok?

  100. Amphetamine use along with behaviour is often mistaken for mental illness. Did Britney have signs of illness when dating Justin and Kevin? I wonder if her body was given time to detox from the drugs, or put straight on mediation.

  101. @Moxie, I don't think so, the clues say that MV have been divorced and has a hyphenation in her name/nickname. Or a person that she dated. The popular guesses are Britney or J-Lo.

@katsm0711 and @Jamie 2: I'm so sorry, that must've been awful. I have someone who's close to me that went through something like that (if it was me I'd just say so).

  103. Give me a break with the "I didn't need to know this" crap. 95% OF YOU HERE are BEGGING Enty to reveal "coke mom" & wagging your finger at other reveals. Cheating, divorce, drugs etc. Everyone is commenting and in most cases cracking jokes , but now everyone here is going to act self-righteous?

If anything this "reveal" gave me a better perspective on Britney's life along with her current trial. I didn't have much sympathy for her antics while I'm a person who works very hard to make a better than average living despite being a good person with a college education and a respectable resume, but can't make in a year what she throws away in a few months (about 50k a month!!). To watch some young girl who sings crappy pop songs throwing a hissy fit that seemed to be triggered by drugs and a stench of self-entitlement gave me very little remorse. However, this reveal lets me see a different side of Britney without the publicist sheen that is put on every fiasco that has followed her in the last 5 years.

Keep it up Enty, this is a good read and interesting blog as always

  104. Just as other posters have stated, abortion and HIV are medical issues and thus protected by HIPPA. Being "in the closet" is not medical and, in my opinion only, don't have laws to protect any other party identifying their sexuality, although not revealing that info should be done with respect towards gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender individuals until they choose to address that with the public because apparently dumbasses in Hollywood don't seem to thing anything other than straight people can be successful (which is a crock).

Medically, though, there's are very strict laws governing that and NO ONE should have that sensitive information made public by a third party. -- just like not "outing" someone until they're ready and choose to do so. I don't believe the HIV, but again I don't know, and because of the postpartum issues, I would have thought if she would have a pregnancy aborted it would have been her younger son, who was not planned and she knew that KFed was cheating on her at that time.

Love my celebrity gossip, but if I ever violated HIPPA I would lose my job for even an innocent infraction. Anyone that gets enjoyment out of learning this is something I don't understand. If true Brit has paid for it ten times over with what has happened to her. As she was married to Kevin and he has moved on and had another child, I doubt the HIV is true b/c he'd have it too.

I believe that Jessica Simpson is the one who aborted, but again, my opinion only, and whatever did happen, I wish them all the past in health and happiness.

Even though I do not think Enty is anyone like he says he is as far as "being in the know" if he's willing to out people that have abortions it shouldn't be a moral quandry to "out" a celebrity. Being accused of abortion and HIV is horrible if it didn't happen. Being gay isn't a shameful thing.

  108. Jamie2 and Katsm - Thank you SO much for sharing your stories. Every woman who chooses this path does so with a heavy heart. It's never easy. But you made the best possible decision at the time for you! I honor your courage!!!

Elissa - So eloquent! Thank you!!!

Ladies, can't we just support each other for a change. Why jump to judgement so quickly? Losing a child is hard - whether through termination or miscarriage. These are heavy issues that many women don't feel comfortable sharing and leave deep scars. Lets just spread some LOVE and compassion.

And before you jump down my throat about miscarriage vs abortion - please know that I am comparing the physical trauma to the body and the emotional trauma that often lingers for years. These are very similar.

Ladies we need to support each other and not rip each other to spreads over who is the purest. Bc let's face it. No one is perfect.

And if this is Britney. Well, I will just support her even more. I want to give her a great big hug.

They did something similar with her sister. but when little sis got inconveniently preggers at a jailbait age. they shipped her out of Hollywood licket split. Not so with Brit Brit, the family's main meal ticket. But Britney was also an adult and assumedly could have left the show biz scene at any time, and saved the world from more of her lip-synching atrocities on stages around the world. Say, for example, that upon her diagnosis she confided in Person A, who told Person B, who sold that information to Person C, who published it. If none of these Persons were employed in the medical/insurance field, and none had actually seen her records and were only taking her word for it, there's no HIPAA violation, right?

  137. Never been a fan of Brit but if the Disney pedophile angle is correct she was thrown in way over her head at a v young age. Surrounded by easy drugs, rampant sex and not much direction it is easy to see her falling overboard into crazytown. Precocious, rich, strongwilled and surrounded by decadence why is it a surprise to people that this would happen to her? She became emotionally unstable, understandably so. And lufti exploited her even more as proved by his stupid lawsuit.

HIPPA laws do not apply to everyone, only healthcare profs, employers, and such. And Jamie Lynn was impregnated by that fat guy who is the king of pedophiles at nickelodeon if the other gossip on this site is to be believed. So, the whole if Hollywood is pretty degenerate if you ask me. I feel sorry for Brit.

  147. @britianny: Thank you. I don't want to pick on rawr - it defeats the purpose of women saying why and when and taking the shame away.

Rawr - a zygote is a four-day-old impregnated egg. Well, at least according to this. http://psychology.about.com/od/zindex/g/def_zygote.htm

No woman could know she was carrying a zygote.

I think it is wonderful that you got to choose to have three children after the first abortion.

I was left sterile after mine.

  148. @dia papaya: No courage was involved. Sheer desperation and panic? Yes.

And those last two will always be involved when young women get pregnant when they are not married, or are very poor and already have two kids and are horrified at the choices they face.

I absolutely stand behind the right of every woman in the US to have an abortion.

I think the Supreme Court made one of its best decisions ever when it decided that one on the right to privacy grounds. A woman should not have to carry a child to term if she does not want to. If men carried babies, we would not be talking about this.

Like most truisms, this is in-your-face-obvious.

    1. I am pro choice and have had numerous miscarriages. It doesn't change my stance. Abortion exists for the reasons you listed. They might as well just hand out wire hangers or expect incidences of infanticide to go up if they overturn Roe Vs. Wade. I know several girls who've aborted. Inspite of the initial sorrow they knew it was for the best at that time. I find that more responsible than having a baby they don't want or can't care for.Look at how many parents have killed or hurt their baby because they could not handle parenthood.

And w/out being a total broken record, the book "between you and me" that came out last summer is a thinly fictionalized version of Brits breakdown. It is very interesting, and if even a little true, the saddest parts of these blinds are very believable. Poor Britney.

Poor Britney indeed. I watched her meltdown with horror. She was clearly out of her mind. I'm not convinced she should be under the conservation of her parents. I probably have the latter term wrong; I mean control.

But yes, she is mentally ill. She can't make most decisions wisely for herself. I wish she had a disinterested, court-appointed party to take care of her and her children.

Love to her if she is the person in this blind. She was so young when it was published.

  152. Britney- you are a hero to many women. You have survived being a child star. You have survived Disney. You are entering your 30s as a beautiful woman with 2 amazing children. Millions of women are HIV positive, and have had to make difficult decisions regarding a pregnancy. Please take your babies and run from hollywood with your head held high. I remember your song , Lucky. You deserve to be happy.

  153. This reveal makes me so sad...I can't stop thinking about it tonight. And as horrible as it sounds, it is not the abortion reveal that has my mind in tangles. Look at the statistics...a good number of women have had abortions. I encounter women every day that have had one in the past and have gone on to have a good life and most that I know have children now. While a horrible decision to have to make, thank goodness women can make that choice for a whole myriad of reasons.
It is the HIV part that has me blown away. Maybe it is my profession, but I feel really uncomfortable with this reveal.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Oh and just because I am curious, for those that live in LA, what is the brightly lit building in the top pic? The one with the blue lights?

    ReplyDelete
  155. This is primarily to rawr, but maybe others feel the same way.

I do not have this in my experience to draw from, so without trying to minimize anyone's pain, I will draw from a misunderstood loss I do have in my history, so bear with me.

I have mourned the death of a cat deeply. My mother becomes impatient with this and mutters, 'For heaven's sake it was just a cat. You got a replacement. Get over it.' This for me is incredibly insensitve, dismissive and callous. I lost someone very dear to my heart and and feeling real pain, regardless of her species.

And I know people who (again, this is the experience I can draw from) put down perfectly healthy cats because they need to move to a new apartment, etc, and they feel only that they have "solved a problem." The same decision that I could never make without grieving for years they make more easily.

Now moving back to this subject. Rawr, you may have felt primarily relief, and that you had solved a problem. But for the women who struggled with their decision, who wished they were in circumstances and relationships in which they could have the child, they will mourn the loss and grieve the decision more than you did. If they still struggle with and cry over their decision, even years later, there are kinder ways to tell them they did the best they could at the time in a difficult circumstance and to please allow themselves to forgive themselves what they feel was failure or imperfection than to say, 'It was a zygote, ok? Move on/Get over it.'

Healing from any loss is a painful, tricky thing (tricky = you may feel you have come a long way and then find yourself on square one one day again for NO GOOD REASON), and compassion and empathy help far more than dismissiveness and judgement.

Peace to those who struggle, comfort to those who mourn.

  157. It always saddens me that the abortion debate so often boils down to "end a pregnancy" vs "being FORCED to raise an unwanted child". There are few people in this world that I respect more than women who are strong enough and compassionate enough to put a child up for adoption. Reading through these comments, I'm mentally counting the number of childless couples that did not get to know the joy of a child because that was not the quick and easy solution.

@The Langoliers are coming, my money is on Jennifer Lopez. :)

  160. I don't really understand this idea people have put up that a line has to be drawn somewhere. Since I started reading this blog I've heard about children being molested and then pimped out by their own family, men/women being raped without hope of retribution, violent sex that has led to death, rampant prostitution involving what seems like half of Hollywood, etc. But apparently abortion and HIV are on the other side of the line? What line?

That's an honest question. I really don't know.

There's just so much gossip now that it's too easy to become desensitized. It's all obviously an exercise in schadenfreude, but I just can't stop reading this shit.

    ReplyDelete
  161. All I can say is WOW. No wonder Brit went off the rails. The only question is, is she still off the rails? HIV isn't a death sentence, and she probably has had enough time to figure that out. I'll admit that she annoyed the crap out of me with her antics back then, but know I that I know the possible reason, it makes sense.

As for whether this should have been revealed or not, I have read everyone's comments and it appears to be a hot issue here. My take is that every single person that comes to this site, or other gossip sites, is nosy, and I include myself in that group. We want to know who has a fake marriage, who is gay, who uses drugs, who is a diva, who has had plastic surgury, who is pregnant etc. We want to know the truth, and sometimes that truth gives us a bitch slap in the face. We can't have it both ways and we can't pick and choose which gossip news is revealed to us that suits our taste.

The timing of this reveal is interesting though. With that idiotic trial going on, Team Brit must strongly suspect that Team Lufti is going to be revealing this in a courtroom, so one way or another, this is going to come out. At least this way, it might give Britney time to adjust to what is going to happen to her, which I doubt even Kneepads can gloss over.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I know you could care less but I'm officially over this site. Yep I love gossip as much as the next person, be can there not even be honor amongst gossipers? Early pregnancies and abortions should be off limits.

Women should have a right, be thy a celebrity or not, to enjoy the early vulnerable part of pregnancy when she may terminate or miscarry. Even celebrities have a right to privacy. If you are being hypocritical saying abortion is morally repugnant when you have had 30 your dang self you deserve to be outed, but otherwise cut women and even celebrity women some slack!

Pushing the emergency exit chute on the plane and exiting in a blaze of glory ....I'm done. Bye bye

    ReplyDelete
  163. Ok - not a huge fan of this being released. For all the "if yer pro choice you cant think it should be private" crap, its crap. People don't always talk about miscarriages, yeast infections, or afterbirth. Female privacy is up to the female, not the course of mass opinion. Hell, some people just never tell anyone they are diagnosed with cancer because they don't want anyone to know. We don't get to decide what medical information people share (exception: unless they have any sort of condition that can be communicated to others in a sexual manner. That's the law, because it has to...do with other people's health instead of just yours).

Anyhoooo, I just spent about 30 mins reading up on all this MV stuff going back to the beginning.

    My my my.

I don't know how I feel about it being BS - she recently sang happy birthday on the x-factor. You could tell she was singing, and she sounded a lot like...Britney, so I'm skeptical about this being her. JLO - eh, who would care. Whitney is a fascinating guess and I think I'm on board. Why would so many people go in with the conspiracy? $$$$.

I also think the timeline can start anywhere. Since we just know it went on for a years and have no suggestions as to how many cycles there were, this could easily be a singer that was big around the MV era or who has been around long before 2000. Great, something new to obsess about.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I think Enty felt "safe" revealing this one because it is about to be exposed anyway, otherwise he would have revealed it in January 2008.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Without reading the blind again, I think the singer who can't sing is Madonna. Something always sounded different when she sang, even when I was little back in the eighties. Her image was so perfect that I could see producers faking her singing ability bc they couldn't find anyone else with that image and attitude. She's always been smart at picking songs that fit her limited range but I still feel there's a weird sound when she sings.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Wait. How did the bad a-list singer blind get brought into this one?

  167. I just read an article about the trial, and I have to say, I have a lot more respect for her father now. He saw his daughter falling off the rails and took dramatic action to help her. Unlike the Lohans. If it were my son, I'd do the same thing.

About the abortion. In 2007, she was heavily using drugs. An abortion was a wise thing to do.

  172. @katsm People above were saying this may lead further proof to Brit being "MV" because Enty wouldn't reveal something like this about his "good friend" or something. I started researching and jumped in - my bad. but we're about a month away from another clue. Heh.
