Until Jay Leno showed the tape again, it had been a long time since I saw Christina Aguilera's Star Search performance when she was 8. She didn't win, but it did get her on The Mickey Mouse Club.
Watching that after reading "it got her the Mickey Mouse Club" only makes me think of a skeevy Disney producer watching this and lustig after her so he gives her a job.
I watched Lucy Fell last night, totally 90s. Scar Jo was in it as a 9 or so year old. She is such a pretty young lady! Just like Christina. I really hope she gets her drinking under control. Otherwise, do you gurl!
It's amazing. Britney can sing better at the age of 8 than she can now. Xtina wasn't that great a singer as a kid, and mind blowing as an adult singer.
Valerie Bertanelli told a story yesterday about Xtina on the Howard Stern show. She said Christina was at a Van Halen concert and Valerie was there, too, because her son was playing with them by then...apparently Valerie is a huge fan and approached Christina and got completely shut down. Christina wouldn't talk to her, rolled her eyes, and was totally rude. Valerie was floored because there was a time when she was A-list and said she always tried to be kind to her fans and still does.
