Everyone always says the United States should replace the National Anthem with America The Beautiful because the Anthem is so hard to sing. Obviously they have not seen how bad Meat Loaf can sing America The Beautiful.
@Eve, I think the last time I saw Colin Powell endorsing something it was the Iraq War. The PowerPoints at the UN, showing Saddam Hussein's 'weapons of mass destruction.' This is a man with Zero Credibility.
We should not change our anthem. It honors a specific moment in history (hello, our flag was still there after the rockets red glare all night symbolic of our endurance).
A serviceman sang that same song last night during one of the games (I got confused because my bf was flipping between Vikings/Bucs and Tigers/Giants) I thought it was beautiful

I think Meatloaf was water skiing behind the boat after "Celebrity Apprentice" (didn't watch, saw clips though), but totally jumped the shark with this. I'd like to think that it was alcohol, not 'the crazy'.
No video for me, but I saw this on TMZ. I kind of loved how the other singers were laughing. Mitt looked horrified. Poor Republicans, never get the cool celebs. ;)
