I don't know if the producers wanted confrontations between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj or that the two would get along but sometimes be a little curt with each other like Simon to Paula. What they are getting is the former, and getting it viciously as Nicki Minaj cussed out Mariah Carey on camera at an audition. Wait until the show goes live, if Mariah sticks it out that long. The thing is Mariah doesn't need the money. She is doing it for more viewers and an easy way to promote records that will allow her to tour less and give less press interviews. Oh, and because she wants everyone to know she is always right. Everyone tells her she is always right.
Carey had been baiting Nicki all day yesterday and finally called Nicki a b**ch. This made Nicki lose it and it was all caught on tape.

ReplyDeleteNicki doesn't really deny that there is a feud between her and Mariah. When she was asked on Australian radio about it, she said "it is what it is". Personally I think it was a bad idea to put Mariah and Nicki together in the first place. Mariah is a notorious diva and would already dislike Nicki for being an upcoming new artist who is threatening to take her crown as the new diva (like the whole Madonna/Lady Gaga feud) and therefore would not be very nice to her and Nicki, well, she's not one to take anything lying down and won't be taking any bs from anyone let alone Mariah so uh nope, not a good combination...even for tv.

ReplyDeleteI have a cousin who works for the show (not a major role like a producer or anything, but she's on set all day with them). Contrary to what people might expect, it's Nicki who has been an absolute nightmare from day one. According to my cousin, Mariah has been great and very professional and the crew loves her. Nicki is like a little kid who acts out to get attention (as if that isn't extremely obvious lol). Apparently all of the contestants who audition are in awe of Mariah and always say nice things to/about her. This is apparently driving Nicki crazy and her attention seeking behaviors are getting worse. The staff despises her and hope she's fired.
