Blind Item #1

This actress used to be on the cusp of A list. She is still a B now. Always movies. A very good actress with lots of awards. She has been in some very very high profile relationships and even crazier breakups. At an event this week, our actress was talking to herself throughout the entire evening, even during presentations. At several points she would get loud enough where the entire room could hear her. She would repeat the same things constantly and would stand up and sit down frequently. People tried to calm her at the beginning but she would just get louder if they did, so they just let her be. She didn't speak to anyone the entire night except herself and at the end of the night left as if nothing had happened. People will be talking about this one for awhile.

  1. I don't know, but I hope the poor thing gets her meds titrated properly!

  2. I'll go with this weeks popular guess; Winona Ryder??

  3. I'm getting a Winona vibe on this, too. Sad :(

  4. Winona was definitely A list once, not on the cusp.

  5. Winona used to be A list.

  6. Michelle Williams

  7. Juillet Lewis or Parker Posey?

  8. I'm getting an older actress vibe on this one -- @Vicki --- I like your guess

Wynona Ryder seems to make the most sense, but has she had crazy breakups and she was A List, not cusp of A list. Melanie Griffith has had crazy breakups, and Kim Basinger. Also Melanie never really got to A List. It always seems like when the answer is given that the clues really really matter, like we wouldn't be able to put Wynona in here just because she fits the high profile relationship thing. Melanie is my best guess.

  10. Lots of awards, high profile relationships, crazy breakups....hmmmm. The Renee Zellweger guess is a good one.

  11. I like the Renee Z guess. I happened to watch Chicago last night and was wondering what ever happened to her. She has not been seen much since her BC days.

  12. hmmmm...

everyone always gets caught up in the grade-status defintions, but how do we define a "crazy break-up"? I ask you Enty, how is that a hint??

    1. Wasn't Dunst in a movie called Crazy Beautiful?

  13. I thought of Uma Thurman immediately, but Winona is a great guess too.

  14. For some reason I thought Sean Young, but not sure she would be considered B now. So, did she go to this event on her own, or if not, who was her date?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I thought Kirsten Dunst while reading it, but that doesnt fit with "lots of awards" (neither does Ryder), but Zellweger works with her quick divorce from that country singer with the shady reasons.

  16. Perhaps Marisa Tomei but I can't think of any crazy relationships she has had??

    ReplyDelete
  17. Melanie Griffith is on TV right now, on Raising Hope. She's super fun on the show too. I was thinking Marisa Tomei, she did guest-star on Seinfeld. Sean Young is a good guess, is considered B though, hmm.

  18. ...is *she* considered B

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sean Young came to mind. She's crazy isn't she?

  20. Melenie Griffith is former A list from the late 80s early 90s.

  21. God, I hope if it's Renee Z that someone intervenes and helps talk her into seeking treatment. I adore her, and she's been doing such wonderful work with the GREAT Initiative.

  22. Renee Z is a good guess, I think. I agree with others that no matter who it is, I hope she gets some help. It sounds like something isn't right.

    ReplyDelete
  23. well, renee z's "divorce" from kenny chesney was pretty crazy...

    ReplyDelete
  24. And RZ was with Jim Crazy too. The others don't fit because of the awards clue. Who else has she gone out woth?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sean Young acting weird would not surprise anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'll go with Halle Berry

    ReplyDelete
  27. A lot of good guesses but most of these women have not gotten awards and also had high profile relationships. I agree, Halle Berry.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Nvm somehow forgot Dawsons Creek

    ReplyDelete
  29. Winona was definitely an A, not sure if she'd even rate a B right now though (maybe next year after a movie release or two). I like the Halle guess.

  30. Rene Z really does make sense. Didn't she date Jack White too (in addition to Jim C. and the country singer with the annulled marriage). The one thing I'm not sure of is whether she was on the cusp of A list or whether there was a brief time when you'd have to qualify her as an A, what with that window of time when she was in contention for Oscars while also still riding the Bridget Jones train...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Whoever it is needs to either lay off the meds or up the dosage...goin with melanie griffith or my all time favorite scar jo

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah...Renee fits better than Winona (What awards has Winona won?)
That whole Chesney thing was news for a minute, for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  33. An event with presentations and no one got any footage? hmmm...what is that smell?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Shirley MacLaine popped into my head with this one. I hope I'm wrong, she's a great actress.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm going with Halle who has been riding the crazy train for a while now (esp. in regards to her man choices/actions)

    ReplyDelete
  36. So the person won lots of awards, but never reached A-list? That's strange. And I thought if you headlined movies that also made you A-list. Renee with her Bridget Jones movies and her awards would make her fully A-list, right?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Halle has never been able to headline a movie despite her Oscar.

i.e. many awards yet "almost" A list.

    ReplyDelete
  38. - Renee WAS an A list
    - Halle WAS an A list
    - Winona WAS a HUGE A list back in the 80's.
    - Melanie Griffith WAS an A list

All the above ladies headlined movies at one time. They were the big draw. They were NEVER were just on the cusp of A list. They were complete and total A lists.

  39. I never post here, but I'm going to say this is probably Renee Z. My good friend saw her at a resort several years ago and claimed she was behaving very strangely. She had a stuffed animal with her and was taking photos of it alongside the pool, on the beach, etc. She was also reportedly talking to herself a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Probably just because she was in today's pics but Laura Dern came to mind. A lot of it fits but she has done some tv movies and guest appearances and she was never on the cusp of A list.

  42. Winona was more A-list in the 90s, not the 80's. It's pretty sad that something as stupid as shoplifting destroyed her career yet people like Robert Downey, Jr., Mickey Rourke, etc. still have careers.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Renee Z seems so social. I'll bet she talks all the time, whether she has company or not. I really like her. Who knows about the stuffed animal story - she could have been doing something funny for a friend or friend's child - she just seems he type.

I hope she isn't insane or going there.

  44. I still don't think Halle was ever A list if enty's criteria is being able to open a movie on your name and/or get a movie made because you're name is attached to it.

For instance, Monster's Ball didn't get made because she was attached to it and I don't think she's ever been the headliner on a movie, al la Jen Aniston or Angelina Jolie.

  45. Dunst. Crazy Beautiful. Sauceaholic. Love her though.

  46. I have a feeling her breakup with the Tooth spun her out. I really don't think she knew. My ex is cousins with the Gyllenhaals (sic?) and it is not a secret. There is no closet, only to the movie buying heartbeat of Middle America.

  47. @Graham. Thank you for pointing out the sheer hypocrisy of the Hollywood system. I have no idea what she is like, but the fact that she made a mistake where no one was physically hurt, yet is still paying for it boggles my mind. How the hell does Charlie Sheen get away with his antics, yet the public still love him enough to watch his shows? I'm sorry, but when a hooker calls the police because of a bad appointment with Sheen is very telling. Yet Winona steals a scarf and she is crucified.

  48. Seems to me this person probably had a Bluetooth piece on covered by her hair and was talking on the phone the whole time. This would be so funny if that was the case and she duped everyone into thinking she was crazy or drunk! LOL.

Explains why she was loud at points if it would get noisy during the presentation (applauses) and she would get louder. She was just a rude and inconsiderate phone chatter.

Probably why she walked out of there like no big deal or nothing had happened because as far as she was concerned, her phone call was over and the event was over. Time to go home! LOL.

  50. @Basil...

I just remember being really annoyed and disgusted with the whole shunning of Winona over that. It was so ludicrous and an example of how people will love you when you're up but not only turn on you, but kick you when you're down.

Winona was huge at the time.. like as A-list as A-list gets and then that happened and it was like she murdered a village of children. I remember that she had filmed that Adam Sandler movie, Mr. Deeds, I think, right before it all happened.... here was an A-list, multiple Academy Award Nominee filming this movie with Adam freaking Sandler, and it was released right after it happened and what did they do? They buried the fact that Winona was in it, barely gave her any billing and basically tried to pretend she wasn't in it.

I was seriously disgusted at the industry (which I've worked in for almost twenty years now) and the public in general. I just remember thinking to myself, that it was horribly wrong that she was basically ex-communicated from Hollywood and here was Robert Downey, Jr... Mr. F up galore, who gets chance after chance after chance.

It's also amazing to see how far we've come (or rather, how far we've fallen) when if she did that now, no one would care. Look at how often people like Lindsay Lohan have stolen and been arrested and it's practically made her more popular.

    Sorry, rant over.

  51. I like Renee Zelwegger for this. In addition to her relationship with Bradley Cooper, she was also in a relationship with Jim Carrey and Jack White. She is also an actress who as won her fair share of golden Globe awards as well as an Oscar.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Boy, was I thinking differently.

    Mia Farrow.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Graham No need to apologize for the rant, because it is completely understandable. Maybe she is a real bitch on set (which I can't really see, but who knows) and everyone in the industry was gleeful this happened to her, I don't know. It's funny though that the shoplifting thing is what she is basically remembered for, yet no one seems to remember her involvement in the Polly Klaas case. She was right in the thick of it helping the family out (I believe the girl was from her hometown???) and helped bring alot of national attention to that sad case. Not a whole lot of celebrities do that.

  54. Love the bluetooth explanation! Makes more sense than an almost A lister with tons of awards gone crazy and no one knows about it!
