Blind Item #1
This actress is fast approaching A list and made her fame in television and movies. Always seemingly nice, she also has a husband and kids. Turns out that she may love fame and publicity more than she has ever let on before. She usually will let paps know when she is leaving her home and leaves it up to them whether or not they want photos. The other day they did and she and her family walked slower than you have ever seen anyone walk just so that lots of photos could be snapped. When one of her children started crying about how long the whole process was taking, our actress sternly reminded the child that there is no crying allowed when they are being photographed by paps and to be quiet.

ReplyDeleteIt's hard to say by the Daily Mail pictures--all the family shots are from Halloween and this doesn't sound as if the pictures happened for the holiday.

How is this Garner? She's had flop movies after flop movie in recent years her high point was & still is Alias.

ReplyDeleteRead the DM article re Garner - she seems to be lobbying for a movie role in something important - too lazy to go back and reread the article. There are lots of shots of her and her girls in there, but the only reason I think it isn't her is that neither of the children look like they're crying or complaining. The girls look cute as can be, while Jen looks annoyed in most of the pics.

ReplyDeleteI thought of Alyson Hannigan, too, but gosh, I sure hope not. I'm not sure the fast approaching A-List would fit. She's been in the same role for years in HIMYM and it doesn't look like she has any new projects coming up so she is unlikely to have a status change anytime soon. She'd be there already if HIMYM, Buffy and the American Pie series were going to do it for her. She's not a rising star, in other words.

ReplyDeleteI was reading her story today in the DM, and thinking about how secretly savvy she is. Selling the family & cuteness makes any attempt to divorce her much more difficult.
I'm a Garner fan, too. I'm just very suspicious of the EVERY DAY papping. And the paps aren't late. And no one ever has an unpleasant experience in a Garner/Affleck papping incident. No car chases. Kids don't get scared. It's all too good to be true, really.

ReplyDeleteI didn't initially read this as Garner, but this could refer to Garner approaching A list as a couple I suppose. She is probably a B or C actress, but she does know how to sell cute and sweet.

Elizabeth Banks only has one child via surrogate because she is unable to have children. I don't think this would be her.

ReplyDeleteI don't at all think of Jen Garner as fast approaching A-list, but she has been papped a lot lately, and not just for Fargo. And why would Amy Adams be considered fast-approaching A-list? That just makes me think of a rising star, neither Amy nor Jen fit that. I'm probably way overthinking this! LOL!

ReplyDeleteGarner hasn't been papped every day just 'recently', for Argo. I'm a childless spinster, I notice pics of cute kids. The pics have gotten better & more frequent as Ben's career has grown over the last few years though. Selling the family image has only been a boon to him, too.
ReplyDeleteGarner just starred in a Disney movie, and she's getting ready to do another movie with Matthew McConaughey, the one he lost all the weight for. The only 'career decline' she really had was because she was birthin' babies.
The level of work she gets, plus her status on Ben's coattails I think qualify her as 'approaching A list'.

I'd give JG a pass for being a bitch to Ted - she was pregnant at the time and with all those hormones, pregnant woman have a harder time holding in their attitudes.

She does seem to be getting more attention again as a celebrity in her own right instead of just for being the mother of Ben Affleck's children which has been her role for several years now. I think she fits better than Alyson Hannigan, who was the first name to pop into my head.

ReplyDeleteAlyson Hannigan's family Halloween photo was super cute, so thought of her but how can she be fast approaching A list when she's been consistently successful since at least Buffy. Alba's A-list moment is long gone with no climbing back unless she gets some talent. This must be someone younger on their way up.
ReplyDeleteWow. i don't think what is described should be termed as "cruel"-there's no way to know if that was the sole rethe circumstances of a mom telling her kids to be quiet. Maybe she was using the pap thing as an excuse to get them to stop having a tantrum cause they can't have ice cream for breakfast....
ReplyDeleteSorry, being a mom is hard. Sometimes you "sternly remind" kids to "be quiet" so mama doesn't go "starkravingmad".
No kidding. Yesterday at walmart my kid grabbed a giant toy kitchen set and started pushing it toward the shopping cart. Then he started to try to lift it i had to go "No dude, this is not going to happen." He was pretty mad. I don't lie but I do fudge. "This toy lives in the store".

Is it possible to be a nice person 98% of the time & lose your temper now and then? Or does the short fuse make you a phony? Are you always nice every second of your life? Or are you always mean to everybody every second? Probably somewhere in between while hoping to be nice to everybody & control that nasty temper when the stress levels start to rise.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that I don't think it sounds like "cruel" treatment. I can imagine a Hollywood mom wanting to teach her kids that they shouldn't cry about what they need to do to take care of their family when they have it better than most.

And yeah, i tell my son to be quiet too, but i am not out parading him around photographers who are screaming my name and popping flash bulbs in his poor little face.
Deletei don't have a problem with the mom saying this. if it gets the kids to stop fussing, great! i've told my kids things like "there's no crying allowed at disneyland. so if you don't stop we'll have to leave". so what? kids are very distractable and if all that was happening was they were walking to slow to suit the child, no harm was done. its not always about the child. i wish people would tell ther kids to stop fussing a little more.

ReplyDelete@libby That's because where Jennifer Garner is pap'd... it's not really conducive to car chases, or really crowds or anything. She lives (and gets photographed in ) Brentwood, where she is the "get" because she doesn't try to dodge everyone by having a driver and using back exits. Trust me, when she's inside, she's not all smiley-happy about it. Ha!

ReplyDeleteApproaching A list means, to me at least, that the BI's star is still on the rise. Alba and Garner have both come and gone. Someone newer perhaps? Who are the ones hoping to be nominated this coming awards season?
