Hope Solo's Husband Arrested Again

On the same day that Hope Solo says married life is wonderful and that she would never marry a guy who hit her, just a guy who makes her magically bleed and previously accused of raping a woman, her new husband was arrested again. Jerramy Stevens is in jail for violating his probation by getting arrested after he hit Hope. The interesting thing is in Hope's book she says that Maks on DWTS slapped her on the face, but in her statement to the media yesterday she says she has never been hit by a man. Hmmm.

  3. I 2nd what SecondCityKid said. She's a compulsive liar who does not think before speaking.

  4. I don't think it's "blame" the victim so much as let's not celebrate and make heroes of people who continue to make atrocious choices in their life.

(I will add the disclaimer that I hope that she survives and comes to her senses)

  5. @second and @lotta you guys should pick up a basic psychology book and read about behaviors of victims of domestic violence especially if you're going to criticize someone's intelligence who is being abused when you both should open up your own minds.

    1. Caitlin, Hope says she's not a victim and never was. She's protecting her husband that she dated for two months before deciding to marry him. when she accused Maks of hitting her THEN she was the victim. So whenever she feels like it's convenient for her, she'll be "the victim."

    2. Lying to cover the abuse up is a VERY common thing to do when one is abused.
And to be honest, she seems to be very good at hiding it. I feel like she's been abused before, like way before, maybe even in her childhood but hey, hopefully someone loves her enough to have her back and keep her away from this guy..
The easiest way for most people to understand it is that abused woman are kind of like an abused dog.. You can beat the hell out of them but they still love you.

  7. She's made two accusations against two celebrity males in a relatively short time. I think it's best to step back and make no assumptions.

Some women love bad boys, and this is what happens when you love a bad boy. I have no sympathy for broads like Rhianna, Solo, and Sandra Bullock who love bad boys who do bad things to them. Same goes for guys who marry strippers and any woman who makes her living getting her tits out and gets heartbroken when these chicks behave like the moneygrubbers and sluts they are. You reap what you sew people!

    1. I have sympathy for them because they don't love themselves enough to think they deserve better. But it is frustrating to watch.

  11. Anyone who has been abused in the past would know how difficult it is to get out of these situations. It's atrocious that someone would condemn them if they had been through it themselves. You know what it's like. The manipulation, control, and desire to do anything to please someone in the moment because maybe that is all they know of survival. I am embarrassed for anyone who says that she deserves what she gets. You're basically just an asshole.

    Hopefully she figures this out.

    1. Agreed! Also, I'm embarrassed for people who use the word 'broads'.

  12. ALSO, there is a huge difference between loving a bad boy and being trapped in an abusive situation. Cheaters break your heart...abusers break your body...big difference.

  14. SHe's a very talented athlete with obvious poor choices in men. I hate that she allows herself to be abused. Hopefully she smartens up and leaves this man before he injures her seriously.

  15. Here's a fact. While no one chooses to become a victim, it is almost ALWAYS a choice to remain one. No matter how psychologically damaged you are.

    ReplyDelete
  16. And yes, I say that as someone who was once stupid and then smartened the hell up.

It sounds like she's saying whatever she can to clean up after the massive trainwreck that her life has become. This is so sad. She could have had major endorsement deals, and made quite alot of money off of her natural looks and talent, now she's just a poster child for abused women. What a waste! Hope needs to hire a p.r team yesterday.

  21. We are questioning her state of mind, despite how we express it, whether we think she's an "idiot" for continuing with the relationship and/or feeling pity for her "state of mind as an abused woman" We all are questioning her state of mind. Its just the fact some are giving out tough love, vs babying her. I personally believe in tough love. When I broke my arm, my mom was an "I told you so" kind of person. My dad however was the kind who wanted to placate me and baby me for being hurt. How did I break my arm? By not putting on the guard for our trampoline up, and smashing my arm against the metal bars during one particularly inventive tumble. Was I warned by my mother that would happen? Yes. My father? Yes. When it happened, two different reactions. But there was still concern there. There's concern for Hope Solo. BTW, calling someone an asshole is assholish, no matter how you phrase it. =) lol.

  22. Actually, I think it's for Washington University where they went to college, not a gang symbol.

(although it can mean "westside", as in westcoast)

@Gemtwist- Do you have anything intelligent to say or are you just going to spell check and name call? You might want to check you capitalization before you go pointing fingers at folks for typographical errors. Moron.

  25. @Lola - that explanation makes sense! I've only ever known it to mean "westside", but that's because I grew up listening to that dang rap noise. ;)

  26. It's not "Washington University", it's the University of Washington. Or as we natives say, "U-Dub" or just "The U".

They were both UW sports stars, so doubtlessly that's what they're throwing down. Unfortunately, in the post-Dogfather era the Huskies did get a taint of gangbanger because of who they were recruiting.

The reason this is important is that in the NW we really, really have no tolerance for this kind of bullshit. It's why Stevens got tossed from the Seahawks so fast. Solo WAS a huge local hero, but her stock is in freefall now. She's getting hurt at home by this way more than auslanders realize.

  27. I'm hoping she's telling the truth about her new husband, but given his record, I doubt it. Did she have any bruises? I also question the truth of her statement regarding Maks slapping her, in light of her most recent comments about never being hit.

Not sure what to think about all this. I don't know why anyone would marry someone if they abused her the night before the wedding, especially if she'd only known him for 2 months.

  28. Black dick does strange shit to white women, don't it?!?!

  29. I kinda' like that fact that she's with him including Chris banging Rihanna.
Its' like a big "Fuck You" to those supposedly DV advocates.

  30. This woman has issues with people whereever she goes. It is sad if she's being abused and I hope for her sake she can get out of this "marriage", but look up her history. She's a troublemaker who has shown very little respect for anyone else over the course of her career.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't think compulsive liar is the right way to describe her when she appears to be caught in an abusive relationship. I'd guess her lies are only regarding her relationship and covering up for her husband and his abuse.

It's sad when anyone is stuck in a cycle of any type of abuse, as I know myself how hard it can be to get out. It seems even sadder to me that someone so physically strong is just as stuck and doesn't seem to have the emotional or mental tools yet to leave.

  35. LOL just curious, I guess someone's mother didn't sit her down during the OJ trial and say "This is what happens to mudsharks". And I guess she also never heard the saying "Once you go black, you get stabbed". The Dept of Health statistics on STDs by race would be enough for me if I was attracted to them, which I'm not. Growing up with them and being sexually assaulted and tormented because I'm white was enough to steer very, very clear of them. I'm sure all the liberals here living in 99% white Portland, etc. have no idea but they will be very quick to condemn those of us who do. And that's cool. It is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Haha she's from Washington state, Richland, which is 89% white according to Wiki, with less than 2% of the population being black! There ya go. Good luck sweetie, you're going to need it.

  39. @ 888

White folks killed more blacks folks than oj ever did.

Disease? You cornered the market on that as well with the Tuskeegee Experiment.

You were sexually assaulted and beaten growing up?? Just like your forefathers were raping and beating everyone else.

    Sins of father.

See I don't believe that."Choosing the wrong men" is just an excuse that SOME women used when they don't want to be held accountable for their actions. Some women are about Dat Life. They love drama.
If you're over 25,there's no such thing as making poor choices when it comes to mates. You like what you like.
