will.i.am & Britney Spears New Video

Last night on X Factor Britney Spears debuted her new video. if it sounds a whole lot like Gimme More it's because they took the best line from that 5 year old song and used it to try and make this new song good. Meh.

Hey, whatever gets her out of the house for as many hours as possible and not under surveillance and with a "minder" is healthy for her. Let her feel as normal as possible and let her be around people not on her gravy train.

  2. ....which is a lovely sentiment, but not accurate for what this song is, which is an unnecessary club remix piece of fluffy nothingness made for the soul purpose of making Britney more money.

  3. I happened to catch it last night and was not impressed.

  4. This is a bit OT but did anyone else here watch X Factor last night? I'm going to go out on a far limb (not really) and say Carly Rose is going to win the damn thing. She is SO good.

  5. Carly Rose sang the crap out of that song. Maybe even better than Adele. Brit 'talked' her parts of the new song and even that didn't sound like her. She's like a zombie.

  6. Honestly, after the whole "it's Birtney bitch" incident on the VMA's, I will never take anything she ever does seriously.

  7. I don't care for her Madonna-esk fake british voice. I do love any song of hers that "It's Britney Bitch" though. I wouldn't say they used that line to make a new song. Is it used more than twice in 5 minutes?

  8. I've been working out to this all day. Its catchy, but needs a remix already. Its a little hard to dance too, even the dancers had a hard time in the video. Britney's "It's Britney, bitch!" is a nice hook btw. I dig it ;)

  9. I don't think that's the Gimme More beat, maybe a bit towards the end. I don't mind the beat actually. That's the only part I don't mind. The parts where Britney is talking are horrendous. Why the British accent??!

They did get one thing right, it does, in fact, go oooooon and oooooon and on and on.

  10. just another generic pop song from the king of generic pop songs

And Britney's face was almost a cartoon character with the CGI makeover she got.

  14. Yeah, what's up with her faux British voice? I usually like Will and Brit songs, but didn't care for this. Like you guys said, too generic.

  15. OMG!!! Monarch programming!!!! I hope that the programming rumors are just that "rumors"! I just couldn't imagine being brainwashed like that......

  16. I am still on the fence with the song. I have to hear it a few times before I decide if I like it or not. I do like her other stuff so we'll see!

  17. I like it, but I like these two a lot. Big Bad Bass was and is a fave with me.

  18. This came on my Pandora the other day and I hated it! Blech the beat, the repetition, will.i.am...there is just so much to hate!

  19. I liked it. I also thought Britney looked really good in this video. Like the life has come back into her yes. And you can actually hear her voice, not the dreaded auto tune.

Maybe the british accent was a nod to Madge?

Also as much promotion for math and science Wil.i.am does, hard to hate on him. Plus didn't he punch Perez Hilton one time?

  20. Eye, I meant eyes! LOL

  21. joElla- i forgot about that! yes he did.

  22. Jax, if I remember, Perez said something bitchy and catty about Fergie..

    I love Wil.i.am even more now <3

  23. I liked it, the accent, and how Brit looked in the video.

But, poor babygirl looked bad on the show last night.

  24. 1.) I do not care for this song. But to each their own.

2.) Is it just me, or does Britney look like a blonde Sarah Palin with that bump-it hair?

  25. I think Perez called will.i.am a f*g. Seriously.

And remember he posted a video afterward where he was freaking out and worrying his eyeball would fall out? LMFAO! I used to read Perez religiously back then ... I quit when he started getting too big for his britches and trying to be a celeb himself.

  26. @Joella Yes he did. I think it was about 3 or 4yrs ago. Perez made this HUGE deal about it but if I remember correctly Will.I.Am didn't even punch him that hard.

@chopchop I stopped reading Perez after he said those nasty things after Michael Jackson died. I can't remember exactly what was said but I remember it being pretty disgusting. Even if Michael was the monster painted him out to be there's still this thing called decorum. Guess Perez hasn't been clued in on what that is.

  27. isnt that the accent she used right before she flipped the fuck out?

  28. long time lurker, part time poster but i have to say, britney looks happier in the eyes than i've seen in awhile. my 9 year old likes the song, but then she also whispered, "You go boy" to the tv for the gangam style/mc hammer mash up at the award show last week.

  29. I will preface by saying that like the Goop, I irrationally ADORE will.i.am...even though I don't always love his music. Ever since the Graham Norton appearance with Miriam Margolyes, I am a TOTAL squee fangirl.

I actually thought it was rather catchy.

    Britney looks great.

  30. I was really into the whole techno/rave scene in the late 90s, so maybe that's why all these beats and samples sound like repetition to me now. How are these "songs" being released as stand-alone singles? There are a thousand DJs in beach clubs across the globe who make better mixes on the fly.

  31. She sounds like Madonna
