Blind Item #1

This A list all movie actor was told by his wife that she would leave him if he made a certain movie with a certain someone. The wife has a good friend who was hurt recently by the certain someone and there was no way the wife was going to allow her husband to be working everyday with the actress. None.

  1. Ben Affleck just withdrew from some turkey with kstew

  2. Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, K-Stew.

  3. Michael K has the best write up regarding this.

  4. She is a controller, that Jennifer Garner.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yup yup. Good for Garner. That girl is trouble, her hubby doesn't need much of a push, and the movie sounded dumb anyway.

Ben should focus on only directing. And stop casting himself (God bless him. Plus, it's distracting.)

  6. the reasoning must just be loyalty to her friend. it's not like kstew's some irresistible seductress, for pete's sake.

  7. Gaaahhh- K-Spew needs to just go away. Enough with her face already.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I wonder who the friend was?

    ReplyDelete
  9. @msgirl, I imagine the friend was Liberty Ross?

    ReplyDelete
  10. yeah, im guessing jen and liberty are friends.

the h'wood circle is pretty small.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Jen knows how to reign Ben in, lol, and he needs it!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I was wondering if it was someone else aside from Liberty.

Is it terrible that I'm glad - I really want Kristen's career to go away! Certainly I should be cleansing my soul of negative energy, what with this being the last day and all, heh.

  13. There's a rumor Ben Affleck might run for John Kerry's Senate seat when he becomes Sec. of State. Can't wait to see the press start digging into his past!

    1. SusanB, now *that* would be interesting.

    2. @SusanB. Why would he run? Some people and their egos. What has he ever done that could possibly qualify him for that position? If it were Damon then I could understand. He's done enough stuff to the point that it makes sense.

      Delete
    3. Damon isn't the best speaker though. I've seen him do interviews on CNN and it wasn't good. Affleck is better. Eva Longoria is awesome at this. She's really smart and does a good job debating issues.

    4. Even though Ben is smart, the only person that should run for office is Alec Baldwin. Wish he would run for mayor of NYC, he could do great thing.

  14. @Rejectedcarebare - where is Michael K posting now? Pls send me a link ... I love & miss MK.

  15. Damn! You guys are good!

My take on this is...guy is gonna cheat if he wants to. Good luck on 'controlling' someone else's urges.

  16. Just read about this on D Listed.

  17. Diane, Michael is at Dlisted.

  18. Jennifer Garner is so pretty and has dimples, seems quite sweet and looks like Mommy of the Year, but I've heard she's tough as nails. Maybe Ben bit off more than he can chew!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm on board with this except, according to Lainey, Jennifer Garner told Ben Affleck "she would never, ever leave him." She supposedly said that in spite of all his cheating. Plus, tons of other blinds (including solved ones) reference how badly Ben wants out of that marriage. If he really wants out, and knows Jen would never leave him, why would he care what she thought?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I don't blame Jennifer she know him and is making sure he won't embarrass her, she knows she can't control him completely but this one was easy...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I have a hard time believing Ben wants out of this marriage so badly. I'm not saying he doesn't cheat but I think he loves having the wife and kids around for his image. I doubt these two will ever get divorced.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Even if Jennifer Garner didn't think he would cheat on her, I bet she didn't want months of magazine covers speculating on whether an affair was happening.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jen may or may not be as tough as nails, but I find it a stretch of the imagination to believe that she would be all worked up over Kristen Stewart. Just not buying it. Has to be someone else.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I doubt Garner's met Liberty Ross. They don't appear to have a same personality type or interests, since Ross is all about hanging with the fashion crowd and missing it, while Jennifer Gardner - have you seen Jennifer Gardner's mom pants khakis she wore in the park for a year? - she isn't.

My guess is that Ben attached to the project as a favor to get a project green-lighted, get a big name or two aboard, and then drops out. the ages between these two don't work especially well. They will cast Ben's part younger. Wouldn't it be great to see Gosling and Kstew?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Gosling can act his ass off. No way you're ever going to see him in anything with Kristin. Sorry.

      Delete
  25. My friends and I have a theory that Kstew did more dirt than we know and Jen may be pissed at her for a reason other than Liberty/Sanders.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i don't like k stew, or twilight. but it bothers me that she is getting all the heat on this. her life should not be ruined because she had sex with a willing partner.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Gosling was originally attached to the role and dropped out, as did Emma stone who had KStews part.

Kristen got this role through nepotism and still wasn't the first choice. It's also the only project she has coming up.

She is totally blacklisted. And it's overdue IMO--this girl is an ungrateful brat and doesn't even have the acting chops to fall back on and partially excuse her unprofessionalism.

    Buh Bye!

    1. They are going ahead with Snow White and the Huntsman part 2. It was rumored that the director would be kept for the second installment, but they dropped him and kept Stewart.
Pretty sure Rupert got the blacklist.

  28. take Lainey's posts with many, many, grains of salt. Even though she can be an interesting read, she's a paid shill for the industry.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ho ho ho and a bottle of Stew...

    ReplyDelete
  30. My first thought was affleck (said like the duck in that insurance commercial). Good for garner, imagine having to kiss affleck after he kissed kstew. Yuck. He would probably lose all ability to emote and start sounding like some slow valley girl. I hope she does get blacklisted, then maybe we can give a good actor roles! Yay win-win.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Doesn't Lainey also insist that Jake G. is straight?

    ReplyDelete
  32. not obvious or anything...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can't imagine anyone, man or woman, wanting to have sex KPew. She is not sexy.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I cannot fathom, even for a minute, why anyone would want to bang K-Stew.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @rhinovodka - Jinx!

    ReplyDelete
  36. @FlirtyChick - Benny's had his eye on politics for years. Wasn't he a political science major in college? And that being the case, he might just have decided that it's worth it to him to hang onto that family man image after all...

    ReplyDelete
  37. At this rate, Kristen Stewart will be nothing left by the end of next year. I won t cry over it.
But I d love to have the opinion of the poster who came here a while back to tell us that the papped pics of her and the director were a PR stunt...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ben just dropped out of a movie in which he would star along KStew so yeah, that's most likely them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is some sloppy RPF here. I think Jen is well aware Ben sleeps around. It's more likely he dropped the project because he doesn't need the bad press that would come with the rumors about him and KStew. He's obsessed with keeping his media image positive, both for his directing career and for any future political career.

    ReplyDelete
  40. definitely politics.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Lainey also believe bradlly Cooper is straight too

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree with Libby that Ben is a much better director than an actor. I kept saying that while I was watching "Argo". As good as the film was, it would have been better with a more lively actor in Ben's part-like a young Andy Garcia.

And the proposed film with KStew would have torpedoed his Oscar/Senate run.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Flirtychick - you got it - it's all about people and their egos. That's what it's all about for politicians (and yes, I'm including everyone's favorite politicians - doesn't matter what party they belong to). It's all about ego and power.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm not sure why there is so much KStew hate. Where are people getting that she's ungrateful? Just from reading blinds written by people who think she's bratty? I think she's awkward. I think she's not cut out for the talk-show circuit (a lot of talented people aren't) but she's young and actually really talented, and always sounds gracious. I really don't know the sources of the "ungrateful" rumors...
I also think the "affair" was a stunt. It served to move her from youthful roles to adult roles, and we all know who the hell Liberty Ross is now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Why couldn't Ben run for Office?
I bet he would do a better job than either Reagan or Arnold. But not Jesse Ventura.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Honestly, I couldn't make it past 15 minutes into the first twilight movie - but she was amazing as Joan Jett in The Runaways. kStew can act, whatever else there is about her to dislike, that's not it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I don't mind Kristen Stewart and would love to smoke a bowl with her.

    ReplyDelete
  48. K Stew can act?
If she does, it was not obvious in Snow White.
Playing herself as the awkward, angry, glazed eyes post-teen, yes. She could have been good in Requiem for a Dream or any junkie role and imho that pretty much stops there.

  51. why do you all think she's been blacklisted? and how did she get the role through neoptism? is her uncle the director?

I disagree. KStew is one sexy little beotch. If I'm a 40-something year old guy in daily contact with a sexy little 22 year old, it'd be hard not not think about tapping that ass if it was available.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ben is in a place in his career where he doesn't have to work with a seriously bad actress. Maybe it's actually nicer to have this story going around rather than just saying she's a sucky actress.

So, that makes this blind item a kindness!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I've seen Ben on Bill Maher and he's incredibly smart and on point and also very political- he would actually be an excellent politician. Hey they all cheat too so he'd fit right in. But I think he'll wait a few more years to go into politics if that's what he wants, he's still got movies to direct and I'm quite sure he's not ready to let go of his stardom.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "Requiem for a Dream" didn't have one crappy actor in it. From what I see of Ms Stewart - limited strictly to shots of her on a red carpet - she can't even gin up a personality there. I mean when you're standing in your lingerie and your expression says teenaged boy trying to shock his parents you can't act. People laugh at Lea Michele but she's got a personality, like her or not.

    Stewart would've killed that movie.
