Blind Item #3

If you want to work for this A list reality star with A list name recognition, you better be female and you better be willing to have sex with him. Even when he goes on vacation, only staff that will be accommodating to his needs get a chance to work for him.

  2. Sounds like Simon to me. I think you would also have to be able to keep a secret or two.

  4. I thought of Simon first for this as well, I'm sure he's pretty up front about it, no sneak attacks or surprises. Plus, he treats his ex's very well.

  5. Del Riser, who cares if he's upfront about raping the help? we aren't talking girlfriends here, its hired help and he's making it a requirement that they get raped by him in order to keep their jobs. there's no justification for that, its just a disgusting abuse of power.

    1. Sorry, don't agree with your suggestion that this is "rape." Since he is up front about it, the women he is hiring are sex workers, with a little secretarial help or cleaning on the side. It's a respectable profession for those who choose it, and nobody has to take these presumably very well-paid jobs if sex work is not their bag.

  6. I refuse to believe that any reality "star" is A list.

  7. Whoa there Annabella, I would never condone rape, of a man or a woman. If you apply for a job with Simon and he tells you sex with him is part of the job description, you have a choice, don't take the job or agree to the terms of what at this point makes you a call girl.
Some girls would love to say they had sex with Simon, they are of course idiots. I would like to think most women would thank him for the interview and decline the job.
It does say get the job, not keep the job. I take that to mean they made a decision, I don't think it was the right one, but no is always an option.

  8. @anabella: How is consensual sex rape? I'd give you "Hiring only prostitutes who are willing to multitask," but if someone agrees to take a job that includes having sex, and then has that sex, that's not rape.

Now, if you have some separate information that Cowell has, through force or coercion, forced someone to have sex with him against his will, that's rape. But nobody's being forced to take a job they don't want. They're choosing to take a job that includes having sex. Sleazy? If you like; your personal views on sexual morality don't concern anybody but you. But it's certainly not rape to extend someone an invitation, and have them accept.

  9. Annabelle, someone needs to introduce you to dictionary.com. Please don't go throwing around that word for every sex act you disapprove of. It is actually a serious thing for people who are affected by it, and it's disrespectful to insinuate he is a rapist just because he hires sex workers. There is a difference.

  10. Is Charlie Sheen concidered 'reality' now?

  11. Annabella, the women are consenting, therefore, it is not rape. Those who don't want to bang his saggy ass don't get free vacations with him.

  12. Is Cee Lo considered A list?

  13. If it's a consensual agreement I wouldn't call it rape. I would also be willing to guess that such an arrangement is not unusual in the entertainment field, but maybe Simon is just more obvious about it. No one is forcing these women to take the job either.

Absolute power corrupted Simon Cowell absolutely. It sucks when small men (or women) amass a bunch of money and or power, (shivers) ewwww!

  15. This ignorant post should be deleted. You need to educate yourself about the word rape.

  17. I for one, know what rape is. From what I got in the blind, is that the women are consenting. He's still a pig. Just not a rapist pig.

  18. Consensual rape...no
    Severely lacking in class....yes.

  19. So he hires no males ? ha !

  20. Geez Anabella, read for detail: it says they 'better be willing.'
I too am disgusted by you using the word rape like that. These women aren't victims. Yes, that IS a big deal. Stop watering the word down with ridiculous hyperbole!

  21. Wow, I wouldn't call it rape, but it's pretty damned close. It's sexual coercion, and there sure are victims. This kind of thing is completely unacceptable. No one should ever be required to perform sexual favors in return for employment!

  22. And I don't think Anabella is the ignorant one here.

  23. Sadly there are plenty of women willing to sleep with him for the glamour and prestige of working with him. Very sad. I am sure most of them are sexually coerced, but there are also women who don't mind the job requirements. The women with Hugh Hefner are no better. If he was just a regular half senile wrinkled old man no one would touch him.

  24. Okay, did some research, and if even one of the women said "no" and then he indicated in any way that she would lose her job or not be hired, and she then had sex with him, that is indeed legally rape.

    ReplyDelete
  25. And if none of them had sex with him after initially saying "no," that's still sexual harassment.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'd say Simon. I'd also say yuck no thank you.

  27. Lurker here, first time posting!
I was gong to save it for when and if my reader photo shows up but all this jumping on one person for calling this rape has lured me out early
I have to agree with Annabell and Mooshki,it is forced sex, which is in turn rape. In order to get paid and keep your job you have to be violated at his will.(If this is indeed the case) No matter what word we assign it,this is sexual violence, illegal and totally wrong.
Also, I want to say I really like it when some of the readers here call out Enty when he labels something as sex, when really its sexual violence, stand up for the victims in the blinds or empathize with the mentally ill. A bunch of enlightened, kind hearted folk you all are :)
