Blind Item #3

This B list actress who is a very very good actress and is an Academy Award winner/nominee was overheard at a party being asked about her A list actor husband. The actress stated, "Well, he is a bit thick and it can be frustrating having a conversation with him about something other than how he looks, but he does look really good so that kind of makes up for all of it, doesn't it?"

  3. Weisz. "A bit thick" sounds very, very British.

  4. Not convinced it's Daniel Craig - he's actually quite smart, I've seen him being interviewed and he's very quick witted. This could be just about anybody though - there are some very very beautiful people who can't walk and chew gum.

  5. Pene Cruz & Javier?

  6. "Pene Cruz & Javier?" Not a chance.

  7. The B list academy award winning actress sounds like she won for a supporting role.

  8. I think it's Rachel weiz cause the only other two that have good looking husbands are Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie.. Or could be Halle berry.. Her boyfriend seems full if himself

  9. I have a feeling she was just being funny.

  10. Angelina and Brad... he doesn't seem to have much personality, he seems to become a clone whomever he is with...

  11. @mell61 earlier, the way enty talked about angie wouldn't coincide with "very, very good actress." but i could see brad fitting within this blind.

  12. Sounds like Rachel Wiesz and Daniel Craig. Although, I tend to agree that it was probably tongue in cheek.

The only other couple that I can think of that would possibly fit is Naomi Watts and Liev Schrieber, but he's not THAT good looking and I wouldn't put him as A list. Plus, Naomi is a decent actress, but I wouldn't put her as "very, very good."

  13. I agree that it's Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig, and I strongly agree that she was likely joking around.

  14. agree this was snarky british humor and whomever heard it was taking it out of context, co-sign on the Rachel/Daniel

  15. I'd say this was tongue-in-cheek too :)

Any other couples where at least one half is British?

  16. Daniel Craig is not that good looking (imo) - big ears and too short. Not James Bond material at all.

    1. Thank u @roxie! I was just going o say that I don't find Daniel Craig hot at all! He could be cute in a nerdy, cuddly way but not hot.

  17. Brangelina aren't married, she's A + list and Pitt isn't stupid
Naomi Watts isn't married with Liev (what's his name?)
Daniel Craig/Rachel Weisz is a great guess even if i think he's not good-looking

  18. howwwwwwww Rachel Weisz it's a B list. she is maybe the best british actress and she still a B actress?

  19. I find Daniel Craig very sexy...and I've heard him in interviews he's actually very bright.

  20. Who's considered gorgeous A List and married? I got nothing. Seriously, none of them are that stunning anymore. Brad doesn't fit. Clooney's not married. Damn.

  21. Rachel and Daniel do fit for this, but he doesn't seem that stupid, based on his comments re: Kim K, etc.

  22. If this is about Rachel Weisz, I would be more than happy to take Mr. Craig off her hands!

  23. C'mon, we've all thought our partner to be a bit thick at times.

  24. I guess I'm in the minority of people who don't find Daniel Craig good looking. RW is beautiful though.

  26. I think Darren is better looking than Daniel. but I don't know his personality, Darren and Rachel were really cute together, but Rachel and Daniel are too.

  27. I doubt its daniel craig. as people mentioned, he is smart. you can tell by his acting he's smart.

the vapid movie star is kind of an american thing. the brits - at least most of the time - actually do things like study acting seriously. americans just want to be stars and brag about things like never taking acting lessons. I'm looking at you jennifer whateveryournameis from hunger games.

  28. I was thinking Emily Blunt/John Krasinski, but is he A list? Is he obsessed about his looks? I dunno...

  29. Also agree that it was probably tongue in cheek. I've actually thought that a lot of blinds could be said as a joke and taken completely out of context. I take every blind with a grain of salt, but especially the "so and so overheard so and so saying..."

  30. I think Daniel Craig is "un beau affreux," i.e. ugly sexy. His face is fugly but his body is banging and he has an aggressiveness I find sexy.

Side note: After seeing Casino Royale with my dad, the first thing he said after leaving the theater was, "Boy, that was an ugly man."

  31. Daniel Craig is far from stupid. If Rachel did make this comment. She loves him and they are close. She also wouldn't make this comment to someone random who she knew couldn't be trusted. I'm so sure she was completely joking. To be honest, I've said this about my ex who was very handsome, and very smart. He and I took a test together, and my score was higher than his. I used to joke with everyone that he was the pretty one and I was both.

  32. I also do not find Daniel Craig hot. Actually not even attractive.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I see this more as Banderas and Griffith. He works alot, but not sure he is still A list in the US, tho he most likely is in other places.

  34. I've always said if they make a biography movie of Putin, Daniel Craig has to play him - they could be brothers.

  35. Daniel Craig is maybe not conventionally handsome, but he oozes sex (in my humble opinion, of course). Check out 'the Ice House', a film adaptation of a book by Minette Walters (love her). He looked rough there already (I think he's had some filler or other treatments, he's been ironed out a bit it seems), but he has a lot of charisma.

  36. I definitely vote Weisz/Craig for this. 'a bit thick' is such a typically British thing to say and it was probably said with the correct amount of sarcasm and deprecation. One must never boast about one's achievements or successes. That would be such bad manners..

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'd be happy to talk with Daniel Craig about how Daniel Craig looks.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I definitely agree that the actress sounds British. Maybe Emma Thompson? her husband is really goodlooking, although I maybe wouldn't call him A-list by Hollywood standards..

    ReplyDelete
  39. Or maybe Monica Bellucci (married to Vincent Cassel)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Diane Lane and Josh Brolin?

    ReplyDelete
  41. i think diane lane would be scared to say anything like this about her hubby. he'd beat the living crap out of her, as he's done before.

  42. John Krasinski is an Ivy League school grad (Brown University). He's a doctor's son. He is one of the rare very well educated people who ended up an actor.

  43. Weisz and Craig, and she was obviously kidding.

  44. "John Krasinski is an Ivy League school grad (Brown University). He's a doctor's son. He is one of the rare very well educated people who ended up an actor."

JFK, Jr., was a Brown grad and he was "a bit thick," relatively speaking. You can't automatically credit someone with an Ivy degree as being either intelligent or well-educated.

Krasinski does seem like a sharp bloke, though.

  45. I second the idea that attending an Ivy League is not always indicative of great intelligence (I know enough Ivy grads to give a fair opinion on that one). However, I don't second the idea that Naomi Watts is only a "decent" actress; she is a very, very good actress, indeed. That said, I don't think this blind is about her.

  47. ITA with Scorates2011 & Jurmanji.

Diane Lane - Josh Brolin FTW!

  48. I agree with Raven, it is Banderas and Griffith. She is sassy enough to talk about her husband like that and get away with it.
