Blind Item #5
Two guys from this award winning and platinum selling country music group cornered this up and coming female country singer who has had one big hit in a room at an after party last night. The guys had a lot to drink and were molesting the singer and according to her was getting a whole lot worse and a whole lot more violent until a waiter came into the room and it allowed her to get out of the room and the party. She said she had never been more scared, but doesn't want to cause trouble and that if she says something then her career will stop dead because it is such a good ole boy network.
Lauren Alaina for the girl? I watched the first hour of the awards show and she won for Best New Artist or something like that.

What the hell?! If they'd do this to a Country Singer, imagine what they'd do to a fan. Enty, you've got to do something about this, if you can. Knowing and not saying anything is being complicit in the crime.

ReplyDeleteIt seems like there are country music awards festivities every other week. I think this may be more of a group that has been around for a while, that said I don't have a guess. I hope it's not Rascal Flatts, they seem like decent guys.

ReplyDeleteMontgomery/Gentry? Mr. Montgomery built a very nice restaurant in my mothers town, and he doesn't have a very good reputation, in fact I think his ex-wife has him barred from even walking in the place.

If you really think that all of this is fake and we are all dimwits for guessing, wouldn't you just go on to the next site that you find personally interesting? Plus, many, many, many of the blinds end up being revealed by the press or celebrities later to be true. There's too many to name. Simply type in Blind Items revealed to find a few. Good grief... who was it that knocked tanya tucker's teeth out again? Most of the older female country singers will talk about it. Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris... and more....

ReplyDeleteI wonder if Enty distinguishes between "group" and "duo." Montgomery Genty and Big & Rich are duos; Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band, and Lady A are groups.

@caitlin costanzo--please tell us more. Everyone is so convinced that he is gay. I wish whatever happened with Renee Z would be revealed. Seems like that is the only thing that started the whole gay rumor anyway. Fraud?! She has always seemed a little strange. Guess she isn't working very much I haven't seen her in gossip columns in a while.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of his music regardless. Love that song , "anything but mine." Reminds me of someone very special. We were on 2 different paths in life but had such a connection. It's been more than 5 years ago and we are better off apart but I will never forget.
I'll go with Rascal Flatts and Lauren Alaina.

I would hate for it to be Flatts, I love those guys.

ReplyDeleteHe has these employees that sort of scout out these woman and invite them to the after party which they all goto and he picks a few out of the group and spends the night with them.
I met a groupie while working and she told me how she was with him a few years back but hasn't been scouted since.

ReplyDeleteThe guys in Rascal Flatts have always given me the gay vibe although they are 'devoted husbands', so I wouldn't think them, but the guys in question are veterans.
I like the Montgomery Gentry or Oak Ridge guess, and I just confirmed with someone who used to travel with Zac Brown and he didn't think they are the womanizing type.
Caitlin, they didn't have sex, they spent the night eating ice cream, gossiping and watching Lifetime movies. ;)

ReplyDeleteI'm here to tell you as someone who has lived in and around Nashville and have many friends in the industry- it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was Big & Rich. Those guys are something else. VERY lecherous.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely not ZBB. My cousin used to bartend at Zac's restaurant in GA a few years back, and they would come in and play on the weekends. She said they were some of the most down-to-earth, goodhearted guys she'd met.

ReplyDeleteI don't think all of the Enty gossip is made up, however, the money, firmly entrenched system, and power in the entertainment industry make reporting and recourse virtually impossible. I dealt with sexual harrassment in the workplace before in a well known company and was told by our HR manager that she liked me and it was better to just keep my mouth shut. I didn't and I never ended up losing my job. Trust me, I am all about for standing up for what is right but have received many road blocks and "blacklisting" as a result, even when handled nicely. Hence I left my lucrative marketing and sales jobs to work in education. The pay stinks but I can live the morally high ground better.

DeleteThis one I really hope was made up. The speed of it, it only happening "at an after party last night" gives me hope. It would have to be direct from the woman, to a friend, to a gossip columnist in about 12 hours. It just seems the kind of thing that would come out later, like months or longer.
ReplyDeleteIt could be true, I just really, REALLY hope this falls into the "this site publishes rumors, conjecture, and fiction" part. It's bad enough the stories about jerks that are horrible to their women, but this is someone new and darn near being raped where she should have been safe.
Is Lauren Alaina even legal yet? I sure as hell hope it wasn't her!

ReplyDeleteI think I've said before on how my babysitter growing up is Kenny's aunt. She stresses that he is straight. If he is in he is very good at hiding it from his family. Ill be in my hometown tomorrow, maybe ill swing by and say hi :)

ReplyDeleteLauren Alaina has released3 songs;and I'd say they all did about the same;none exactly hits. Jana Kramer,Kristin Kelly,Kacey Musgraves or Katie Armiger might be better guesses..
