ReplyDeleteI'm photo #1, that's me & my dad. He died 2 weeks ago, Dec. 6, from pancreatic cancer. I'm having such a hard time dealing with his passing. Thank you, Enty, for posting it, especially in the top spot. It really cheered me up. Love all these reader photos!

Delete@Unknown, I lost my dad a week before Father's Day this year. I know how you are feeling, it is horrible. I'm so sorry for your loss. Believe me, time does heal horrible wounds, like this. It has been six months, and I have my off days, but for the most part things are normal again. I'm thinking of ya, and it will get better!

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved father. Let's just say it - it totally sucks. When I quickly glanced at the photos this afternoon, the caption for photo #1 was immediately "I see an immense love between these two people". You can truly tell what a sweet sweet soul he is. ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful photo of you and your son!! I learned to sign the alphabet in Sunday School at the age of 6, and I still remember it to this day! I also remember the sign for I love you, and thought that was really cool when I saw his pic :)
@leah, I thought exactly the same thing that Sunny said, I gave the "I love you" sign right back to my iPad! What a happy shot!

And reader #1 I am so sorry for your loss... it will get easier I promise my grandmother who passed when I was pregnant always said not to cry for the dead because they are in heaven at peace but to cry for the living because they are in hell and suffering... and it really helped me I know I will see my grandparents again and I know they are happy (they visited me in my dreams) and we will see our loved ones again!!

ReplyDelete#1...enormous hugs. My Dad is my heart and soul. What an amazing photograph. I just read through these. I will have to face this one day and I lift my glass to all of you who have lost a loved one. I'm a bit of a Wing nut...but have a huge and hefty heart. That picture had me smiling and bawling because it had "special delivery" written all over it. I mostly lurk, but it's only because I am an acquired taste the takes a bit of tempering. #1 and all of you who have loved and lost....I be lovin' you from afar. XO
