Random Photos Part Three - Les Miserables Premiere
Isla Fisher is busting out at the premiere which is why probably
Sacha Baron Cohen decided she needed a jacket.
Helena Bonham Carter looked ravishing as usual.
Anne Hathaway went for vintage while
Amanda Seyfried went for more fun. I like Amanda better so I like her outfit better.
You know what I need? Hugh Jackman in velvet.
It is not Hugh, but Gillian Anderson does seem to be wearing velvet.
Ellie Goulding.
And making her debut, Isabelle Allen.
Amanda is so pretty. Isabelle is darling. Hugh, such a nice man (no, I don't know him but he just comes off that way, I would be heartbroken if I found out otherwise).

ReplyDeleteAnne looks... off. The dress doesn't match the rest of her. Her makeup doesn't seem glamorous enough for such a gown.
Amanda's dress is made out of neoprene. I watched the premiere on a live stream yesterday, they should do that more often. The one odd thing I noticed about this one is that they did not set up a clean backdrop for the arrival photos. All the actors posed at the very beginning of the red carpet with fans and all kinds of people running around in the background, looks kind of cluttered.

Pop singer in England, one of William and Kate's favorites apparently, I think she sang at their wedding party later that night. She has a song 'Lights' that's out now, you've probably heard it even if you don't realize it. :)

ReplyDeleteThe little girl at the bottom is so so cute! Cute as a button. I like velvet, especially around the holidays, and Gillian Anderson can do no wrong with me, she's so pretty in an unusual way. Hugh DOES seem very nice, and is really very very talented. Wish he'd come out though. What's the big? I like Amanda Seyfried. She seems normalish, and I'm glad that she was upstaging Anne at her big premier, that would have to be tough to be a competing actress and be in a supportive role to her. I would caution Helena Bonham Carter in standing like that, it looks like she's laying an egg. Not too lady like.

ReplyDeleteThat little Isabelle Allen is adorable. Given that sweet face, it's hard to believe now that in five or six very short years, she could be staggering out of Chateau Marmont. I hope very much she has parents who look after her better than LiLo's did.

Isabelle was very cute in the interview, said its 'cool' that her face is on all the posters, said she was there with her parents, the woman who made her dress, and her agent. She's been playing young Cosette on the West End as well so she seems unfazed by the attention.

ReplyDeleteI think HughJackman is soooo hot...And I usually do not like velvet but the way it's inserted in Gillians dress makes it look nice. It always reminds me of cheap Christmas dresses for church or bad prom dress.

ReplyDeleteI like Anne's dress, it hugs where it should and fits great (minus the shoulders of course!). That's a nice pose to show off the shoulders as well. Of course if I wore it, i would have to stay posed like that all night because on us normal folk, the sleeves are probably pretty ridiculous looking! I think the hair is what makes it look a little off, but since it's a cut and not a style, what's a girl to do?
ReplyDeleteVelvet makes me cringe, not sure why, dont think i was ever forced to wear it. It makes me think of sad little girls in an uncomfortable Christmas dress, or a high neck long dress with white lace at the neck.
@turtlek and @kelly Enty adores velvet, it's one of his favorite things besides bacon and booze.

I think Helena got sick of being the joke of the red carpet. She's matching and she looks good.
Anyone as eccentric as Helena never is embarrassed be themselves. Sometimes we just EVOLVE as people. She's probably moved sightly past the outrageous quirk, and is exhibiting a more demur look. As much as she can pull off demur.

I also hate velvet...ick! Do they still make crushed velvet? I recall wearing a fair amount of that in middle school, along with chokers and boots with shorts.

ReplyDeleteOne of my close friends went to Vassar while Anne Hathaway was there. According to my friend's social group, "Annie" was an insufferable snob. Which is really saying something, since I found most of them to be insufferable snobs themselves.
