Today's Blind Items - It Was Crazy
Considering this happened not that long ago, you would think people would have heard about it. The thing is, it was right before everything was covered 24/7. It involves three of the biggest stars on the planet, and another who is not that far behind. Our A+ list #1) all movie actor was probably a B- actor back then. He was in the middle of a long term relationship with an A+ list (#2)all movie actress who has not dropped at all from that perch. He said that the actress had got boring and that he thought she would break when they would have their very rare sex. So, when this A list (#3) all movie actress who was a B- lister back then walked into his life, they had a torrid affair. I mean a month or two of the hottest do it anywhere sex imaginable. They were crazy for each other. The one tiny problem is that the girlfriend (#2) found out about it and went off the rails. Screaming and yelling at the actor and showing up unannounced at #3's apartment to yell at her. The even crazier thing is though that #2 didn't break up with our actor. Nope. She said they could work it out and insisted on them going to therapy everyday to work it out. Meanwhile, #3 said enough was enough and went and found herself an A list all movie actor at the time and now a B lister. #1 finally got tired of the therapy and #2 and left her.

ReplyDeleteWait. Didn't this say this happened not too long ago before everything was covered 24/7? I interpreted this to mean it happened before something like Sandy Hook was all over the news trumping this story from getting out. Then again I totally suck at these.

Gwyneth (like Jennifer Aniston) as been mentioned as quite boring, but not necessarily in bed.
Everybody thinks about her first because she dated Brad Pitt when he started to get leading roles.
For the other couple, we have to look for a woman who has risen while her husband, who was ranked higher at the time, has slipped past her. CZJ?
I like the Affleck/Paltrow guess for the couple.

DeleteAlmost got it yodelay, but its not Brad & Gwyneth. She left him and he was messed up and in therapy over it for a bit. I say Ben A, Gwyneth and Salma. Ben & Salma were in Dogma together. After that, Ben's stripper obsession started coming out in Ben & Gwyn's interviews for Bounce, he looked even more miserable with her & Salma started dating Ed Norton.

ReplyDeletesince i think this is pre-internet---or at least say, 10 years ago, i'm just thinking someone a little less 'now' than the guesses so far.
Best way to gauge this, is think of who covers those gossip rags the most. That tells you their "worth" as in gossip and pictures. Old Ben A and Gwennie days were covered religiously. The height of it being Bennifer days. Those were crazy.

I, too, thought of Gwynnie..but I was thinking with Ben. She wasn't A+ was she? hmmm..well...maybe she was...but she definitely wasn't A+ when she met Brad.

Delete@ Jazzy - I thought Pitt and Paltrow broke up because she cheated on him and got caught. I recall an interview many years later where she spoke of her regret at messing up that relationship and blamed immaturity for her actions (if I remember correctly).

And the A actress that was B list that ended up dating an A-lister who is now B list - I have no idea.
I know, I know - Sandy doesn't look so skinny that she'd break and doesn't seem like the type, but I thought I'd chime in with something different than Gywneth.
Any chance on Goseling and Bullock as the couple?

@Kara - Interesting guess. Maybe Enty means "thought she would break" figuratively? Like emotionally, not physically? Could be Sandy. Hmmm. I've got to think about who'd be #3 in this trifecta.

When she was with Brad, she was a chain-smoker with messy ponytail on top of her head when on her own time (Kristen Stewart style, jeans and sneakers, but Paltrow's was more flannel), and then photos came out of Paltrow and Brad standing around naked on a yacht and making out. She didn't look disinterested or breakable.

ReplyDeleteI don't think this involves Brad or Gwyneth, at least not together. Remember those fuzzy pap photos of Brad and Gwyneth messing around the pool naked? I don't know when those were taken exactly but I do remember that back then Goop wasn't quite the annoying, prissy, asexual creature she is now. Although it is possible that by the time she got to Ben she'd started to change, possibly some extreme opposite reaction to the fallout of her cheating on Brad or something.

ReplyDeleteDef. nicholson and Angelica Huston. I think there were rumors of jack having an affair around the time of that movie called prizzi's honor. The clues suggest an older pre-Internet story and this fits better than anything newer than about 1998.
