Blind Item #3
This former almost A list all movie actor has had a hard time getting much work in the past couple of years. Did I mention he is in the closet to the public so hard that he would freak out if there was any light at all coming in? Probably one of the more famous beard relationships in Hollywood. No longer seeing his long time boyfriend, our actor now uses the services of two Thai guys when he needs umm, some stress relief. Problem is he needs to go to their massage shop to get it and one of these days someone will talk or release what must be some CCTV video.
Oh gosh is this Toothy Tile? What happened with Austin?

Travolta is hardly closeted anymore. It is the worst kept secret across the globe. The blind says he would freak out if any light was let in and Travolta has had "flood lights, helicopters and night vision" shining into his closet.

ReplyDeleteIf this is Hayden, what's in it for Rachel Bilson? Especially if the releationship isn't generating publicity like it once was. Obviously, I'm aware of a double bearding situation but I'm not reading their relationship that way. Do you guys remember a blind from maybe a year ago about a bearding situation, with the actor/actress being great friends and that she felt safe with him because of a former trauma? That blind has stuck with me a little bit, because Enty said that the actress doesn't even like being in an elevator with a strange man by herself. Yeah, me either!!

ReplyDeleteOK - I have to address my theory on the Daily Mail thing. I'm more inclined to believe Enty has a source or is affiliated with the Daily Mail in one way or another. I don't think he rips their stories off their site, because it is well known he puts the blog together the day/night before and it is released on a timer the next morning (for lack of a better word. I'm still 1/2 asleep)

Sunny, I agree with you theory, and to be clear, am certainly not accusing Enty of ripping them off. I do think he has some sort of connection over there. To me, it just makes the party that is CDaN more cloaked in mystery and intrigue!!

I wasn't feeling as chatty then, but thought I'd throw it out there today since I am apparently spamming this thread. Ha! And btw, I almost pee peed in my pantalones when I read your comment on Mr Frufa hearing about the Beyonce "scandal". That's how I feel with my hub and BFF. They could care less about celebrity (WHAT??) so when stuff trickles down to them shit gets real!

@Sunny & Fru - I see both sides. There's a very strong case for creating stories based on DM posts. However, the fact that posts are almost solely based on DM posts seems like it would be the ultimate laziness UNLESS there's a link between Enty and the DM; then it's not so lazy.
ReplyDeleteHollywood is all about facade. The fact that there are so many BIs, and rumors, and dramas, is not unreasonable when you think about it. So many celebrities have an image they need to uphold to keep themselves marketable and keep the 00's rolling in.
Amber I totally agree - Hollywood is a facade. Assume nothing is for real.
ReplyDeleteI think there are fewer genuine relationships (not publicity-based) in Hollywood than fake ones or publicity-fueled ones.
Celebs more or less give up their right to a private personal life when they get to be B list or higher. There's so much competition for good roles that an actor / actress is hired not just for their talent (hardly!), but for the level of publicity they will be able to generate for the TV show or film to get people to watch, and most of that publicity comes from them sharing their personal life (dating, marriages, pregnancies, kid stories, kid pap photos, drama, etc).
IT IS SO SICK. And we eat it up :)

ReplyDeleteI tend to think of the numbered blinds as word searches for the readers. Enty is throwing us "blinds" from the Daily Mail to keep us interested and to keep his numbers up. Otherwise, the people who are just here for the blinds wouldn't show up more than once a day, and some might not stop in more than once a week. By beefing up the blinds, Enty can keep the Blind Item addicts coming back throughout the day. That keeps his hits up and maximizes his ad revenue. The Daily Mail is just a convenient source, since it publishes early enough for him to put those posts together early, before his regular day.

Maybe they're afraid that once studios find out they're gay, all they'll ever see is GAY in big flashing lights over their heads? And maybe they get forced in the closet by agents and such, because they think it'll ruin their sexual marketability to the opposite sex?

ReplyDeleteMy personal theory about the Enty-DM connection is that, as a lawyer, Enty may check the articles, to remove any possible defamatory material for a US court. Which may allow him to read stuff before it is published and get in touch with the reporters, when there's some rewriting involved, so he might have a connection with the stuff they couldn't put in the actual piece.
Poor fella! I wonder why gay/lesbian actors still feel the need to remain in the closet?! I guess all we can do is respect their choice but I think that such a huge weight being lifted off one's shoulders would be a great feeling.

I can tell you it wasn't for show. It was obvious they were very much in love and no one really knew who they were really. Every time I saw them about they were nothing but into each other. I think all these inneundos about him are bollocks.

ReplyDelete@Amber - I think that's exactly what it is. Much of America is still extremely homophobic and ignorant, so it would be hard for them to see an "out" actor as straight. Especially in "manly" action-related roles, i.e. superheroes, womanizers, etc. I've heard that time and time again in different articles about the subject.
