Blind Item #6
This B list television and movie actress who has had way more success on a very very hit television show than anything she has done in the movies was told last week at a party that she had been the subject of a bet between this former A list television and movie actor and his B-/C+ list television actor. Apparently they had heard the actress was a virgin and bet each other $25K who would be the first. The former A list actor won the bet. when our actress was told she asked if it counted if the guy had been so drunk he could not even manage to start the job.

ReplyDeleteHmm...$25,000? The actress must have been pretty famous already for people to bet that kind of money (or they were all working together, proximity making her more desirable). What's kind of interesting is that they just "heard" she was a virgin, but there isn't any evidence that she actually was.

Mila would have been worth $25,000. Not condoning such a thing, but I can see her as quite a prize, especially for known virgin-killer Wilmer.

dragon--she's been more successful generally b/c of FG, Ted is not a starring role, not successful because of her. But she is known & set FOR LIFE from a dozen years (?) of frickin' FG.

Long time lurker, first time poster, etc. I realize this blind is pretty old now and doubt anyone will even see this comment, but just thought I'd add my two cents since nobody guessed what was my first thought on this one, which is Katie Holmes on Dawson's Creek, with James Van Der Beek as the former A-list victor and Joshua Jackson as the B/C loser. I don't know if JVDB would really be considered A-list back in the day but he was in Varsity Blues and covering the walls of all of my girlfriends in the late 90s/early 00s (I was in middle school at the time, so it was the prime time to know JVDB obsessers.) Also, I feel like Katie back then was really playing up the wholsome thing and she was pretty young, so I could totally see her being a virgin at the time.

DeleteGood point. And I know he did a few movies later on, too. Not that they were exactly hits, but I don't know if that would disqualify him from being called a "television actor" like the person in this blind is described. Although I have been confused with enty's use of that description in the past. ("All movie actor," with some TV in his background, etc.)

DeleteJza1218 & Thoughts4Sale I think you guys are onto something with this happening a long time ago, especially with the virgin tid bit, not many ladies are virgins nowadays. I say that like I actually know that for a fact when I don't, but I have nothing to contribute to this otherwise.

ReplyDeleteMila has done loads of big movies since Family Guy and 70's. Actually the Family Guy role became more well known because of her movies - not just Ted, but she was in Black Swan, lead in Friends With Benefits...she's well advertised in the new Oz film.

ReplyDelete@Thoughts4Sale, welcome and I like your guess! I think that Enty has referred to Katie Holmes as a C list actress with A+ list name recognition, but his ratings change all the time. Even though Joshua Jackson has been in movies, he is known as a TV actor primarily (Dawson's Creek, Fringe) whereas Van Der Beek really was getting big before his career kind of flopped.
ReplyDeleteAnd @Kloie, the blind never says that she WAS a virgin--just that they heard that she was. We just have to find an actress who other people could have believed was a virgin.
I like the Party of Five guess...particularly bc it's pretty well known Matthew Fox has a bit of a drinky prob. So...Lacey or JLH?
