Demi Lovato Living In Sober Home

Good for Demi Lovato. With all the drama in her love life and friendships, I am glad that she is taking her sobriety seriously. TMZ is reporting that for the past year, Demi has been living in a sober house rather than on her own because she was not sure how she would be able to deal with X Factor and being on her own and wanted to come home at night to a place like a sober living facility. Even if she does not go there every night, I think it is great that she is at least giving it a shot. When you get that sudden boost of fame from being on a national television show and all the kiss butt that comes with it and people willing to do things for you and make little gifts appear in your hand that you don't need or want, but might have a tough time ignoring if you are home alone with them staring at you in the face, a sober living home is a good idea. Now if she could just learn to block some callers from her life.

  1. I thought there was a recent BI contradictory to this?

  2. @FSP, yes, on BlindGossip. I don't know about on here.

Anyway, I wish that karma would finally hit Wilmer Valderamma (sp?) in the nutsack and he could no longer mess up these girls.

  3. This is awesome. I'm super proud of her for this, because way too many addicts think they can "do it on [their] own" and they just can't. So many need to change almost absolutely everything about their lives - their friends, their hobbies, their living environments - anything that isn't conducive to their new sober life.

  4. I wouldn't really trust Blind Gossip thought on the other hand i feel they have been on the money about Joe Jonas.

  5. It shows a lot of courage for her to admit she still needs help to stay clean. I really wish her all the best for the future. I hope she can completely break the spell and enjoy life.

  6. I feel like Blind Gossip attacks Demi and makes up or exaggerates blinds about her.

Good for Demi. I'm glad she is making the effort to stay sober.

  7. Good for you. If only Lindsay would follow this lead.

  8. Good for her, I mean. Too early for my brain.

  9. I just read the blind gossip thing you guys are talking about and is it possible they are considering the sober house she is in AS a rehab center? It makes more sense that she's allowed to leave and go back freely if it is a sober house. I really don't think a rehab center would put up with that kind if shit blind gossip insinuates.

  10. I just hope she really is cleaning up, and not just putting on a public sober act and still using behind the scenes as suggested on other sites. I know BG references are a no no here, but they do seem to have a strong track record with their previous demi/jonas posts. My girls LOVED her on Sony with a chance on Disney, so I have a soft spot for her and hope she can find peace and overcome her issues.

  11. I'm so hopefully for this kid. And yeah, I have a soft spot for her because I've spent many happy hours with my own kids watching her on Disney.

She's showing a lot of moxie by admitting she needs support. Most people twice her age don't have that kind of courage.

  12. Hey, Mama Ray - you and me both, huh?

  13. @Mama Ray - Well, if she's living in a sober house and is not sober she'll be kicked out. The people that I've known to live in them only get one chance.

  14. @Lotta- I totally agree, if their source is reporting the sober living compound as Rehab (which are totally different) then she should be able to pop in and out around her other engagemants. That would make so much more sense. I do believe that they pick on her too. If you think your source is right and she needs this help but that her team is pulling her out to hide it from the public then why call her out on it so obviously so they are forced to pull her out again? Leave Demi Alone! (Chris Crocker impression!)

  15. I'm glad she is at a Sober House. Now that she has quit drinking, she will be able to see more clearly how people are behaving around her.

I admire her for doing this at such a young age. It's very hard, but you sure find out who your real friends are (few) and who your enablers (many) are.

  16. I am so glad she's doing this -- it takes a lot of perseverance from "everyday people" who are recovering addicts to stay clean. I hope she keeps it up.

It's too bad there aren't more starlets who would follow her lead.

  17. Good for Demi for taking her sobriety and life very seriously. As Dewie pointed out if only Lilo did this she might have a fighting chance. Although it would have to include not just staying away from the "sweet nectar" and other temptations but also her cray cray family.

  20. If BG is to be trusted, they said the sober living facility stuff is BS and she's not sober. They "solved" their blind item, and included a nice rant about the spinning her PR team has been doing. http://blindgossip.com/?p=49571

Either way, I wish her the best.

  21. I've never heard of such a thing!

How amazing. Obviously we have rehab centres in Aust (der) but i've never really heard of this sort of thing at all.

More power to you, kiddo x

  24. Is there any way we can collectively request a restraining order to keep Wilmer away from her?
