How bad does Kris Humphries want his day in court? Bad enough that according to
Radar he turned down $10M from Kim Kardashian to settle their divorce dispute. If you turn down that kind of dough you are either really rich or you really want to spill some stuff about the other person. Kris is not poor, but $10M is a lot to almost everyone. He has always said he will settle if Kim admits the marriage was fake and only for publicity. So far at least, Kim does not want to admit that. As the baby comes closer to reality and considered legally Kris' though she might change her mind. Either that or offer $20M.

ReplyDeleteIs the baby considered legally his because he's the spouse, or the baby daddy? I'd think it is the dad's, regardless of marital status. Especially if Kanye is listed on the birth certificate as daddy.

ReplyDelete@seachica, I think it depends on the laws of their state. I've definitely heard stories about men being forced to pay child support for children that aren't theirs because their wives got pregnant by someone else while still being married to them.

I am so tired of the pedestal this family has put themselves on and can't stand even looking at the sight of Kim - every time I see her prancing around posing with her mouth open I remember this whole spectacle started because she screwed some guy on a video. And it irritates me that she's made millions while decent people struggle every day without ever having a prayer of making that kind of money - because some people choose to respect the bounds of common decency, unlike the Kardashians. I don't know how anyone in that family can look in the mirror or pull out a credit card without remembering WHY they have all this fame and notoriety.

Seriously - I am really worried about what will happen with teenagers today when they are in their 50's and 60's and supposedly running the country... it's scary. I may not be around to see it but my child will be, and it really bothers me :(

2. To think that she has that kind of money to give him is really mind boggling. Or is Kanye giving it to her?
3. It's not Kris that is doing anything. It's his lawyers. He's not too bright, but you don't have to be when you have good lawyers.
I can't decide if he was really dumb enough to think the marriage was for real or if he was in on it - either way, I'm glad to see him trying to take her down.

As dumb as he is, part of me thinks it's more about how he was publicly humiliated by all of this, and how it's all about sticking it to her. It may be that the Kardashians simply don't want to capitulate, fearing a slippery slope of losing leverage elsewhere.

If he's astute enough to choose the right attorneys, listen to them, and ultimately beat the K Klan at their own game, then he's smart enough in the ways that matter.

ReplyDeleteThe only out she had was missed. She should've just given him the annullment early on and said she did it to move on w/ her life. Instead, she got pregnant, thinking he'd walk or people would be sympathetic and now he has even more incentive to nullify the marriage. No marriage, no prenup, no confidentiality clause, he gets the ring back and either auctions it off or re-purposes the diamonds. That ring is just as important, its the ring she wanted Reggie to give her and wants to keep it by any means necessary. If she goes to court and it's declared fraud, which it will be, she can be sued by the companies who paid her for the wedding. She will be behind Lance in the "give us our money back" line.
