Prince Harry Has Regrets About Vegas

Apparently the whole naked photo thing has really upset Prince Harry. It was Vegas. People drink. People get naked. People rub 20 pounds of bacon all over their naked body. It happens. No one should judge. Harry is back from Afghanistan and gave an interview to a group of reporters and said that he does not regret killing enemy soldiers but does regret those Vegas photos. “I probably let myself down, I let my family down, I let other people down. But at the end of the day, I was in a private area, and there should be a certain amount of privacy. It was probably a classic example of me probably being too much Army and not enough prince."

  2. I think he was snowed by the "What Happens in Vegas" campaign.

  3. He broke the cardinal rule of Vegas: what happens in vegas stays in vegas!!lol

  4. Oh Harry, don't apologize for being the fun royal!

  5. WOW!!! 2 big shocks there!

A guy in his 20's was naked in his hotel room in Vegas.

A solider in a war zone has killed the enemy.

  6. Basically he's sorry he got caught. Royals are no different when push comes to shove.

I found it strange that he bragged about having killed on his last tour of duty. Huh?

  7. Jeez, it was just an ass shot, wasn't it? He's young, he's handsome in a geeky kinda way and he's royalty! We still luv ya, Harry!!

  8. He was having fun, who cares? Now he knows when he wants to get crazy, he needs to confiscate all phones the way baby bieber does when he smokes weed.

I think this may have scarred him from coming back to the USA anytime soon. Thanks a lot TMZ! Way to scare off the single royal.

  9. He was asked, phoenix, and his response sounded like he was just resigned to it, as his job. Not bragging. He mentioned it was in situations to save others from harm.
Sorry neither I nor Enty has a link.

  10. Vegas needs to change its ad campaign because the opposite is actually true.

I'm sure Vegas is up there with wearing the Nazi uniform for dumb stuff he wishes he hadn't got caught for.

  11. Well said, Harry! I think he is also smart to eat a little public crow, rather than getting too self-righteous about what happened. I love the royals (except Camilla).

  12. William started out the cute brother but now the hot stick has landed with Harry. However, he needs to stop acting like a rich little spoiled brat that thinks he can get away with everything. I guess because he was the 2nd son he didn't get that drilled into him like William.

  13. Reeses - it was NOT just an ass shot!

  14. ok libby. It was his offhand manner of conveying that nasty detail which caught my attention then. Many soldiers experience it as a scarring experience and don't like talking about it, but maybe I'm reading too much into it.

  15. DUH, year he got caught

  16. I can't make it clicky, but here's a link:
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/21/prince-harry-says-he-kill_n_2521647.html?ir=World

    And two quotes:

"Asked before he left Afghanistan if he had killed insurgents during his tour, he said: 'Yeah, so, lots of people have. ... Yes, we fire when we have to, take a life to save a life, but essentially we're more of a deterrent than anything else.'"

And this one, about his not wanting special treatment as a soldier, is extry good (The 'us' is referring to himself & Wills, as pilots):

"Yes, you get shot at. But if the guys who are doing the same job as us are being shot at on the ground, I don't think there's anything wrong with us being shot at as well. People back home will have issues with that, but we're not special."

  17. More like too much 20 something, hot, rich guy in Vegas with a roomful of hot girls and alcohol.

    (And not enough prince.)

Eh, he should get to have fun too and my only problem is with the people who sold him out for a buck.

  18. I have gone past the 'cougar' stage and am quickly approaching 'toothless old she-lion', but I have to say, I'd do Harry in a royal heartbeat. And who cares if he emBAREASSED those stuffy royals. They need a good scandal now and then to liven things up.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Entwarded, "he does not regret killing enemy soldiers but does regret those Vegas photos" is a gross interpretation of what he stated.

    1. What Agent said! Not even close to what he meant at all.

  20. Oh geez. As if this is the worst thing a royal has done. I get that the People want him to be ashamed about it, because it's shocking or whatever. On a scale of 1 to Murder, though, this is like a 3.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The interview was PR damage control after giving the Las Vegas story a few months to fade. Correlating that with killing in a "it's just what soldiers do" kind of way still strikes me as odd.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'll cut him some slack, just because it was Vegas. ;-) In all seriousness, he really didn't need to apologize. Maybe to his Granny, but that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think Harry's charming.

    hahaha, no pun intended.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Jeez that was a lot of probablys.

I love this site and I love (pretty much) everyone on it, but I am starting to have a real problem with Enty's news reporting. I get that this is a gossip site, not a news outlet so how dare I expect the information to be truthful. But I do. When a legit news story is posted, I expect it to be truthful and accurately represent the source he got the information from. Flame away but I am sure that I am not the only one who is starting to get annoyed with the consistently false/severely manipulated news stories that we are getting.

    1. @JSierra, I see that all the time and wonder why there is never any credit to the original story he's posting from. Most of the time someone else in the comments will link back to everyone else so we get the full story but by then it's already too late. People take what enty posts and run with it. He *used to* provide links, IDK why it stopped.

    2. JSierra - we all love you here. The site is all about stats, unique visits, that stuff. Please don't be bothered. It all helps our snark relief in a healthy harmless way.

In closing I'll say Viva Bacon!!!!!!

  25. JSierra, ITA, I think Enty cheats by not including a clicky link to the whole story in his 'news' posts. People get riled up without checking the source, IMO because Enty didn't used to be so manipulative with the facts. JMO also.

    ReplyDelete
  26. He is young, not married, in Vegas and not going to be King. If this was any normal hot bloodied young man, it would have not made the news.
What got me is the stupid slimey people that were invited to party with Harry and had a sleazy agenda. WTF? Right?

    ReplyDelete
  27. @JSierra, have you ever read Janet Charlton? She often times employs the same schtick re: no qualms about deliberately skewing facts in the worst possible way to generate more hits. It's why I stopped reading her. This may be next.

I'd settle for just a moratorium on pedophilia related stories. I'm about to start calling him Uncle Pedobear.

    ReplyDelete
  28. If I want hard hitting news I'll read the NYT.

Here, I get gossip, with enty's slant on it all. If it's a news story that makes me all, "OMG!" I'll go read a "serious" story to get the "facts".

    ReplyDelete
  29. Exactly, Lotta. One of the things that came with co-called 'new' Enty....along with the 10 blinds/day---around the time the blog changed, I think.

No, I'm not complaining about who writes this free entertaining blog. Just noting the changes.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Libby, I never really realized when it starting changing but I think you're right. The only thing I would like to see come back are the links to the original story. I love all the blinds regardless of if they're real or not like some folks claim.

I agree with Harry's statement. It wasn't very princely behavior, he did embarrass everyone, and it was more army behavior than royal. I don't blame the kid for letting off some steam, just confiscate phones next time. Must suck to be in that position but it has it's perks. He seems like a good kid, I like him more now since he's said this.

Eh it is what it is JSierra, it bugs me too, but I also like his personal take on some stories. It's cool.

  32. Don't gooooo, JSierra!!! This place is fluff; if I want hard-hitting, I go elsewhere. I'm here for the snark and the witty, awesome people here!

  33. ^janet charleton is the worst and there's a special place in hell for her.

idk how much truth there is to his quote, if it's him or a pr team, but it denotes growth and reflection and maturity, so good for him.

One reason that Enty may not be including links is that some news agencies will sue if their work is used. I know of another entertainment blogger that had a problem with that. Those sites want to be be paid for links and quotes.

It's not all sites, but enough to where it may be easier for Enty to avoid them all. Not to mention less expensive.

    ReplyDelete

    1. @Layna- I just thought they would want credit for what they're writing, the payment thing seems a bit much. If that is the case, I can see why the links suddenly disappeared from here. Thanks for the info.

  35. Harry will have to do something MUCH worse than act irresponsibly in Vegas to make me stop loving him! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous8:50 AM

@Lotta: from what I understand, it's a case by case thing. Some just want to be credited for their work. Others get really ugly about it. I don't get it, either, but I guess they don't want to lose any potential income in some way.

  37. I could never leave this site, I am way to addicted to the comments and the people on here.

I get that this is a gossip site, I am not coming here to get my world news and updates on political campaigns, I come here for the gossip. It is just frustrating when you read a post and it is so far from the truth that it becomes a totally different story.

I'll get over it, it won't end my life, it was just something that had been scratchin at my brain.

And I second/third/fourth all the Camilla hate. She seems so conniving, I don't understand how Charles replaced Diana with her. Well the marriage was arranged, but still, that is quite the change of ladies.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Come to Colorado, Harry. I promise we wont photograph you. Love ya!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hi JSierra... actually Diana replaced Camilla because she wasn't deemed suitable by the royal family, and then they got switched back around again because Charles just couldn't stay away from Camilla, which is more gross when you really think about it.

  40. I never take anything on this site for more than pure entertainment. People should always do more research and never take anything at face value. I add a lot of salt if you get my meaning. For the most part I believe people here do. It's not the normal group of hate spewers over on Perez or serious snarkers on Dlisted (Lord I can't even follow those comments sometimes!). Or whatever it is on Celebitchy. It would be really interesting to see what the demographics are for all these sites, wouldn't it?

Anyway, love PHG. He totally learned something about America no matter where you are..Someone will sell their story to make a buck...Lesson learned!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Did you guys see the video of the interview? When they get a call and he jumps up mid-sentence, rips off his microphone and goes sprinting towards his helicopter???

    SWOON CITY. Oh, Harry.

    ReplyDelete
  42. He is a helicopter gunner in an active war zone. He is supposed to be killing people. If he wasn't the country would be wasting their money buying helicopters & training gunners.

    ReplyDelete
  43. here's a quick answer to why no links....IT'S A BLOG NOT CNN/HUFFPO OR GAWKER.

    BLOG. One more time....bloooooooog.

Christ you guys are *never* happy.

  44. Apparently, neither are you Jax.

  45. ino that is pretty gross. She looks like a dog.

  46. Having been around British Army guys and gals in Kenya,I can vouch for that last statement he made. No idea why, but there was at least one nekkid or half nekkid man or woman at every single party that included them.

    ReplyDelete
  47. No he doesn't have regrets about Vegas. He just has regrets about getting caught and also hanging out with untrustworthy people.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh Harry, come here.

He needs to listen to the Rex Factor podcast and hear what his greatx50 grandfathers got up to.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I knew something was off about his comments, and just came across this:

Taliban leaders have fired back at Prince Harry over the royal's comments that piloting a helicopter in Afghanistan—where he says he killed insurgents during his recent tour of duty—is like playing a video game.

“It’s a joy for me because I’m one of those people who loves playing PlayStation and Xbox," the 28-year-old said. "So with my thumbs I like to think I’m probably quite useful."

    -----

I don't dislike him, but he doesn't impress me either. Time to grow up.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Taliban, you gotta love their self righteousness.

    ReplyDelete
  51. 99% of the time I'd agree with that, but I think they make a valid point in this instance. War and killing are serious business. It's Harry's offhand nonchalance that puzzles me, but each to their own.

  52. I'd nail him 6 ways to Sunday. Two times.
