Demi Lovato Says She Went Back To Work Too Soon

I give Demi Lovato grief sometimes for not being completely open and honest about all of her issues that led to rehab, but I will say that she is definitely one person who works at her sobriety. When you look at the interviews she gives rather than say interviews Lindsay gives, you see a major difference. Demi realizes she has a problem and will have the problem forever and wants to work at it. Lindsay on the other hand just blames everyone for her problems and keeps partying. In the new issue of some Cosmo spin off, Demi says that she went back to work too soon after her rehab. Not so much making music, but putting herself on television with X Factor and all the resulting pressure from it. In the same interview, Demi also implies that she got screwed over by a guy and that she spent way too much time with one guy and that she has changed and would not let that happen again.

I'm happy she's admitting it, that she's being open and honest, but mostly I'm glad to hear her admit that Wilmer's a tool and that she spent too much time with him.

  2. If she means it, then that's great, but the cynical part of me wonders if she said that just so she doesn't look bad when/if she doesn't get invited back to x-factor.

  3. I just googled images of "Demi Lovato" and she looks drastically different from picture to picture. It's crazy. That said, she looks very nice in the photo above without garish hair and makeup.

  5. Could this be the end of Wilmer-mania? I rally hope. Unless she is talking about Joe Jonas. Either way, I would really like to see get succeed. Her music has a much stronger message than say her bestie(?) Selena Gomez.

  6. OFFS! Just because she's in the public eye doesn't mean she has to or should reveal Every Single Issue she has! She should reveal only what she is comfortable revealing: she certainly is under no obligation to reveal anything to anybody.

I wish her all the best of luck, though. Demons are a bitch.

  7. I hope so hard for her sake that she's really done with Wilmer Valderasshole. If she is, she might have a good chance at staying sober.

  10. Enty - I love you, but the details of her issues are none of our business.... I don't care that she is a public figure - she does not owe the public a confessional. Good for her for getting help for a terrible disease.

  11. If Demi is this fragile, she needs to go home to Texas and stay out of the spotlight permanently. This is ridiculous.

  12. @Karen, thanks for asking-I was wondering about the name change too!

  14. At least she's honest about her fragility. I hope she keeps working on her issues and heals. And stays away from that predator Wilmer.

  15. All well and good saying her issues are none of our business, but all Enty's doing is reporting on a (paid) interview she gave to a magazine...

  17. I really like Demi. I do think the media scrutiny of being on the X Factor probably could be too much to handle when you are fresh out of rehab. I've dealt with a lot of the things she has gone through, and it is a long road back to "normal". I could not imagine having to deal with while in the spotlight. Kudos to her for helping herself and not becoming Lohan.

  18. Ooh, I also want to add that I adore her eyebrows. I always look at eyebrows second (eyes first) when I see someone, and hers are beautiful.

  21. this young lady is trying, so major props for that. it's a shame she has crap, exploitative parents, she deserves better. they certainly don't pave an easy path to her recovery.

  22. I really want her to be ok, I think she has talent and is a good person that's unfortunately being used by those closest to her.

  23. The problem is not spending too much time with one guy.

The problem is spending too much time with the wrong guy.

Date less mother fuckers and find yourself a reasonably talent script writer.

  25. I am really rooting for her. This is a beautiful picture of her; she should go light on the makeup more often.
