Blind Item #6
This former B list mostly movie actress was set to hit it big a few years back. She stumbled and then righted herself with some more movies but now appears to have become even more worse off than she was previously. When you see the woman coming out of the Starbucks bathroom who just used their sink as a shower like she does everyday, you will probably say, "You were so good in_______ (HUGE box office hit). What happened?"

ReplyDeleteI think Boogie Nights was too long ago. (1997) This sounds more recent. Heather dropped off sooner than that. Unless you're referring to her spot in The Hangover.

ReplyDeleteYes, I too think it's Natasha Lyonne (sp?). Because what Enty's describing is someone who's homeless, which she has been at least once previously. She's mentally ill, poor woman. :-(

Oh yeah I remember hearing sad stories about Natasha Lyonne's behavior. I thought she had gotten better, though. She looked healthy at the American Reunion showing.

ReplyDeleteNatasha Lyonne was in a video just recently that Enty posted. I want to say it was a video for a fashion line or something, I cannot recall for the life of me what it was, damn senior moments.

ReplyDeleteHeather may not be everywhere anymore, but I don't think she's destitute. Natasha was for a while due to MI and substance abuse, but she's been doing well lately from what I've read. Her turn on SVU was decent, too. (And good for her in general; I like her.)

I think Heather Graham has pretty much maintained her B-list status for a long time. I remember first seeing her in "Six Degrees of Separation" back in 1993, and according to IMDB, she'd already been working for a decade before that. This sounds like someone younger with a shorter career span.
ReplyDeleteI may be wrong here, but I think Mena grew up in Charleston, SC. I think she went to the same girls school as the older Barbara Bush in Charleston. I'm thinking she can't be destitute, unless she has been cut-off, or her parents have no more money...
ReplyDeleteMena is always engaged, married, divorced, or something... if she was that bad off, you'd think she'd stick around longer. Then again, maybe all her failed relationships drained her bank accounts. Who knows?

I see Heather Graham in New York socialite photos and magazines, at parties with the rich and powerful. It would appear she lives the socialite life and just dabbles in movies these days - enough to keep the financiers, publishers and their wives impressed - but not enough to look as if she's desperate for work. It's a balance.

ReplyDeleteI alway see Heather in Williamsburg NYC all the time and she looks like everyone else. Although the style in the burg is homeless chic so maybe again..... No, she looks good.
ReplyDeleteNatasha was mess for awhile in the late 2000s. She looked like one of the runaway gutter punk kids that hangs around the East Village. I remember over hearing her telling Clea Duvall of Argo fame at Starbucks about her arrest in Florida (I think). She used to worry me but she seemed a lot better when I saw her the last time. Hope it is not her she seemed like lost soul but a good one.
I don't think anyone ever thought Natasha was destined for solid B list, Thora Birch on the other hand was in American Beauty and Ghost World in a 2 year span and now has only been in an indie, a TV movie and one other movie (not yet released?) since 2009...
ReplyDeleteNatasha has been working since she was on PeeWee's Playhouse. She has never been the next big thing. She was better than good in the Slums of Beverly Hills and that is about it for her. And no one would be surprised to she her giving herself a soldiers bath in a Starbucks.

I like the Taryn Manning guess. She seems like a total drug mess to me. She was big after 8-Mile & Hustle & Flow (these roles may be whey she seems like a total drug mess to me), but lately she's been doing direct-to-video, TV eps, and a SyFy movie (career shudder).
