She can't help it. Everytime this A+ list all movie actor calls this B+ all movie actress she falls for his words and ends up going over to his place to have sex. Or to his hotel. Or anywhere he tells her to be. There is nothing that is going to come out of it and he does the same thing with several other women. She ignores him for a few weeks and then always caves. Meanwhile, when other guys ask her out she says no because she keeps waiting for the jerk to text. He never calls which makes it even more clinical.

DeleteShe seems to me like that kind of girl who knows when to say no. I think she benefits a lot by being associated with Cooper, and I know by first hand experience that sometimes there's only one way to make that sexy douchebag respect you - say no!! And I see a lot of what I think is genuine pleasentness between Lawrence and Cooper. Maybe he likes her so much just because she didn't sleep with him. Maybe he respects integrity? One can always hope!
This is kinda what's happening to me right now. I'm pretty sure he's not having sex with other people though. I have found it to be effective when I ignore his texts for a while.

@Xander Just my two cents: I think it's a phase that we all go through, and some grow out of it earlier than others. I outgrew it at 20; I have friends who are in their forties who still haven't outgrown it

DeleteIt all comes down to self esteem. When you don't have confidence in yourself or believe in yourself (basically giving away your power), there will always someone waiting to take advantage. I think we all go through this at one time or another. The timeline to start loving yourself varies from person to person. Hopefully without lots of hard lessons and broken hearts.
But with broken hearts comes a stronger appreciation for real thing when it does show up!
I've only been with one huge douchebag. I would say low self esteem was the issue. I had loads of confidence when I met the jerk. As time went on, I just allowed him to treat me like dirt, the confidence became less and less. I wad also fairly young. I'm still young (26), but I have my head on straight and am now married to a fabulous "nice guy".

I was just getting my self confidence up after high school and the douche comes into my life, bringing my self esteem down. Then this guy comes along, and tbh, I don't want a relationship with him. He does treat a hell of a lot better than my ex ever did.
Kelgela2: BTDT. The sex was so awesome I was willing to put up with too much bullshit. But once I got away I realized that with a nice guy the sex can be if not just ad good, then even better because our communication was far superior. With that you can talk about everything that turns you on and you can have a fucking wonderful time. After 17 years it just keeps getting better. Something about respect that makes me horny as hell. But until then, girl, there's always vibrators! ( And a good man isn't jealous of THOSE either)

It is stupid thinking but having grown up with 4 older brothers, It's no shock to me. It is kind of "Well she must be at the dance alone for a reason. Oh wait, did Cindy just walk in with a date?" Not that Ben Affleck is a saint but at least he knew enough to pretend to be a family man to win the Oscar. Yes, his efforts were wobbly at best but he made it through and won. I think that the people who vote want the entire package. If Bradley wasn't so terrible to Zoe and acted like a genuine couple, he would have e won. The film did very well and his acting was good. *shrug*
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the gay rumors but he isn't dating Jennifer Lawrence. They both vehemently denied it on the GG red carpet and I believe them. And Jen's parents and brothers are with her everywhere these days and would never approve of her dating someone so much older than him. They barely approved of Nick Hoult, which is part of the reason they broke up since apparently Nick wanted her to move in with him in his house in London and her parents didn't like that.

I know BCoop and JLaw are very tight friends- he hangs with her family and they like him. I can't speak to his past or his sexual preferences but I have it on good authority he's an all around solid guy.
