  21. Aaaaw. I actually said that out loud when I read this headline. I grew up with that show too. Sad. 2 of my friend's fathers died within a year of pancreatic cancer too. It's a vicious one. Steve Jobs too I think.

  24. Dear {$Deity of your choice},

You remember that 15-year-old boy who won that science prize for inventing a nearly-free test for early detection of pancreatic cancer? Please give him everything he needs to get this rolling, and please let it work as well as the articles said!

    Rest in peace, Bonnie!

  25. Aw no. :( I was watching what I could of "One Day At A Time" on YouTube just the other night after not having seen it since the '70's. I loved that show so much growing up!

  26. Just read the blurb. My mom died at 69 and looked younger than most people in their '40's. That's still young. I've wanted to die since I was 10, and it seems like people who are so full of life and energy are the ones to pass too soon.

  27. Zeeky, it was actually a 17 year old *girl* who discovered it.

And I was very sad to see this. We can hope it was as painless as possible.

Geegmarie: Sincere condolences to you and everyone who has lost a loved one to insidious cancer.

And RIP Bonnie. Who didn't watch "One Day At A Time " when it was on. Part of my childhood beimg close to the same age as the girls and having a single mom.
