Bonnie Franklin, the actress who won fame as a divorced mom on the long-running sitcom "One Day at a Time," has died. A family member say she died Friday due to complications from pancreatic cancer. She was 69.
Aaaaw. I actually said that out loud when I read this headline. I grew up with that show too. Sad. 2 of my friend's fathers died within a year of pancreatic cancer too. It's a vicious one. Steve Jobs too I think.
You remember that 15-year-old boy who won that science prize for inventing a nearly-free test for early detection of pancreatic cancer? Please give him everything he needs to get this rolling, and please let it work as well as the articles said!
Aw no. :( I was watching what I could of "One Day At A Time" on YouTube just the other night after not having seen it since the '70's. I loved that show so much growing up!
Just read the blurb. My mom died at 69 and looked younger than most people in their '40's. That's still young. I've wanted to die since I was 10, and it seems like people who are so full of life and energy are the ones to pass too soon.
