Blind Item #1
This former almost A list mostly movie actor is now a C lister. Rarely gets work and lives off the money he got from his ex, he still has a big name. Big enough that when he does cheat on his girlfriend, he goes for his favorite angle. He tells women that he can get them in his new movie if they will sleep with him. I bet that B- list mostly movie actress who fell for it recently wishes she had not.

ReplyDeleteAlso loved him in Igby Goes Down, where he also played kind of an emotionally-stunted upper class twit. Maybe there just aren't that many roles to fit that profile. Who is playing all the emotionally-stunted upper-class twits these days?

IMHO he is one of the worst actors alive. There must be people that agree, seeing as he gets next to no good gigs.

ReplyDeleteAs a human being Ryan Phillippe sucks out loud, but he's actually a very good actor. Clearly there are other issues keeping him from getting work; I would assume he can't get along with anybody, for a start!

ReplyDeleteWell...he wasn't bad in Crash. But I think that movie was amazing in every way.
ReplyDeletePhillipe was in Damqages for it's final 2012 season playing Channing McClaren, a Julian Assange character, and also in the really good Lincoln Lawyer. I know he is writing, directing and producing with his production partners, Seth Green, Breckin Myer, and...some other dude whose name escapes me. So, while not A listing, he's doing ok. Has around 30 mil. Still a (very cute) jerk.
