This almost A list mostly television actor who is having a career rebirth after a brief, but smoking hot career in movies and then nothing for a long time had a celebration last week because he made the last payment owed to the teen girl he had sex with when she was three years short of being legal. He was almost three times her age when it happened.

@Kelly - Per Wiki, that was 25 years ago when he was abt 24 years old. He was with two women, one 22 and one 16. He said he didn't know the 16yo was under age (which I can believe, esp if she was hanging out with a 22yo).

I was here in Indianapolis, serving a table of bigwig-types years ago, one from LA (entertainment executive, VERY rich). He started whispering stories, but was very careful that I couldn't hear any. Except just once, I surprised him by accident...it was the moment he was revealing to his dinner companions that Selleck is GAY.

ReplyDeleteI was in GA when the Rob Lowe story broke, and yes, it really did a number on his career, even though he didn't know the girl was that young. I don't remember if he was the one filming the threesome or not, but the story I heard was that the girl got hold of the tape and was running around Atlanta showing it to all her friends on the club scene (supposedly every gay hairdresser in metro Atlanta had seen it by the time the story broke; I heard about that from my gay hairdresser in Athens). And yes, he met her at a nightclub where they were carding everyone at the door, including him, so he assumed she was old enough to be there legally...not knowing that her buddies had gotten her in. I always felt bad for him regarding this whole mess; the impression was that he truly had no idea she was so young, and never would have picked her up if he'd realized that.

ReplyDeleteThis must be an older guy. If you figure she was 15 when it happened, and he was almost 3 X her age at the time, then he was 40-45 when it happened. It sounds like he's been making payments for quite a while, based on the way the item is written. So this is a late-middle age to older pig.

ReplyDeleteYes, Tom Sellack is gay. My cousin worked very closely with him during the 84 Olympics (in LA) and spoke of it as common knowledge back then. He is out with his close circle, or at least was the whole time she knew him (through the 90's)

ReplyDeleteThe guy in question seemed to have a long career in tv and then ventured in to films where he had a short, yet successful career. Most of the actors that have been mentioned have all had film careers before venturing into television work. The only actor who fits this blind is Tom Selleck. His biggest film was Three Men and a Baby and if I'm not mistaken, he played a smoking hot actor in that film.
