ReplyDeleteBesides, millionaires still raise money for pet causes. That's how they STAY rich; they don't put themselves into debt, they call on other rich ppl to help finance their projects.

@Rosie - FFS stands for "for f*'s sake" and a troll is one of those people who comes into a thread and makes some kind of a*hole comment (usually rude, nasty, racist, or something like that). We have a couple of regular trolls who drop in and crap all over threads with their hate.

I think joining a community is always a little daunting (I lurked for almost a year before jumping into the pool).
I don't know if I qualify as a regular or a usual or whatever, but I know there are some who've been around since the blog started!

If it was a legit charity, former A would be calling more than one person right? But by only calling 1 person of the same gender makes it sound like blackmail.

Just because she makes plenty of her own money doesn't mean she wants to spend it all on one charity. It costs a boatload of cash to bribe enough people to get a school built for girls in Afghanistan!! If it truly is a "former" A lister, then my vote is for Sharon Stone.

ReplyDelete@Gayeld Interestingly enough, Ali McGraw owned the rights to "Love Story"--not her husband, Robert Evans. He made an auto-biographical documentary called, "The Kid Stays in the Picture" which covers the whole story. It's a pretty fascinating film, and I'd highly recommend it.

That's the reality of the internet. And personally, I didn't think Libby's subsequent explanation was at all as offensive as you are making it out to be.
