Blind Item #3

This B-/C+ mostly television actress from a hit premium cable show was announced as a presenter for this award show. After she was announced she asked for $50,000 to show up at the show. She thought she could get it because they had announced her. She was wrong. The producers told her they would have her replacement by the next day. Our actress backed down.

    1. Not Kaley. I've worked on multiple things she has done for free. She doesn't have a bad attitude.

  2. Emmy rossum, shameless, presenting at the Billboard awards. She's higher than C+ though, no?

  3. They get gift bags worth 10 of thousands of dollars. But those are taxable now as income (thanks Gov't) so they get pissy about having to pay taxes on it.

  4. Sounds like something Lohan would pull. But good for the proucers. This needs to happen more often.

  5. You would think that they would have had a signed contract clarifying the fee before they announced her as a presenter.

  7. Off topic, does anyone else not like Kaley Cuoco? I cannot stand her. I thought maybe I just didn't like her character until I read an interview with her. Nope, don't like that her either.

  8. Upcoming Awards Shows: Billboard Music
ESPYs, BET, Daytime Emmy's, Spike TV, Teen Choice... Since it's a premium cable chick, I'm going to ASSume she gets nekkid, which would probably put her at the always classy SpikeTV awards. Emilia Clarke from GOT is getting some sort of award, so maybe she'll present while she's there.

  9. kaley cuoco seems alright, but i think she's just a terrible actress. she's lucky she got that role on big bang, cos i don't see her getting much else. but she is cute

  10. Premium cable refers to HBO, Showtime, etc., I believe.

  11. I don't watch Big Bang, but isn't that Kaley girl the one who does those stupid Priceline (?) commercials with William Shatner? If she is then she bugs the crap out of me too.

  12. Lena Hedley from Game of Thrones? Wasn't she having money troubles?

  13. Kaley Cuoco is just like January Jones. They are both horrible actresses who lucked into roles that are perfect for them.

  15. I don't watch Big Bang Theory so I can't comment on her acting ability, but Kaley Cuoco is seriously gorgeous.

    That's all I got.

  19. I'm thinking January Jones - Mad Men is a big cable hit, no? She seems full enough of herself that this would be something she would try.

  20. Premium cable means HBO, Showtime, Cinemax or Starz.

Emmy Rossum. Her album was a big fat flop, her movie Beautiful Creatures also a big fat flop. She's only getting paid for Shameless. Her boyfriend isn't working on anything but yet she's taking him with her everywhere and presumably footing the bill so yeah, she needs the money.

  21. Cuoco gets enough shit about her acting from some BBT fan-geeks who hate her for basically being a pretty woman. She does a perfectly good job with the lines she's given to play. Despite what some of the BBT mob think--and man, don't that show have rabid fans!--the rest of the cast aren't anything great as actors either. Parsons would never gotten his Broadway gig for Harvey if it wasn't for starring in BBT.

  22. The Lena Dunham creature.

  23. Not a Kaley Cuoco fan or hater, but she's been working steadily for a dozen years now. She does okay, and I've seen WAY worse actors.

  24. Morena Baccarin? I think that's her name ..
    Brody's wife on Homeland.

  27. The only thing bad about Kaley is her boob job. Otherwise, nice person, good attitude, this is definitely not her. Boobs are bad though. She needs them redone.

  28. @B. Profane,

I'm a huge BBT fan, but have you seen Jim Parsons's stage list? He was doing theatre for years before BBT. I do think he got the Harvey role based on his BBT success, though - not because he can hang his hat anywhere, but b/c the man has won awards for his acting. Why was Katie Holmes on Broadway? She was on Dawson's Creek a million years ago, can't sing, can't dress. Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones - on Broadway and that clip was awful. (And I love Khaleesi.)

Watch the Behind the Scenes clips. Of all of the characters, Kaley C is doing the least "acting" - she's a lot like Penny (smart alecky, funny, cute) in the interviews, but she can NAIL a line. As the B-man in an ensemble comedy, that's no easy feat.

I don't bag on Cuoco or Parsons for being on a Lorre comedy (I loathe Chuck Lorre but acknowledge his genius). If Parsons had kept on doing stage work instead of sitcom TV, I think he would have snagged a B'way role at some point, but B'way is bowing to the names before talent route quite a bit because people buy tickets for names. Who wants to see Nathan "That Birdcage Guy" Lane when TOM FREAKING HANKS is doing a play?

  29. Kaley has outstanding comic timing. I think she is a good actress, very funny.

  30. I think this is either of the Lenas, Headey or Dunham, who are both entirely too full of themselves.

  31. Not Jones or Cuoco - the blind says "premium cable show," which means HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc. Jones is on a basic cable show, Cuoco on a network show.
