Britney Spears Will Start Playing Vegas In November

November is still 6 months away, but Britney Spears probably needs that long to get ready for her residency at Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Beginning in November, Britney will launch her shows which she says will be one big party from start to finish. And by party she means a carefully choreographed, lip synced sing-a-long to various hits she has had over the years. I still don't think this is a great idea for Britney. It is a great idea for  her family who will make a lot of money, but Britney always seems the most happy when she is with her hired guy and making Starbucks runs.

  1. You are so cruel lately!!! Don't understand the hate??

  2. I wish they'd let her retire. It is so obvious she does not want to do this anymore. She's been phoning it in for YEARS now.

  3. So can we start the betting pool now on the day/week of her first meltdown?

    I call New Years Eve.

  4. I love that lady! I hope Vegas brings her mountains of millions. Suzanne Sommers enjoyed her years there, and having a huge home in the desert with room for children and pets and a studio might be just the thing for Britney.

  5. At least it's stable, unlike touring, which *really* seems to be hard for her.

  6. I'm most happy going to Starbucks and hanging out with my new guy too. I have to work, I doubt she needs the bucks. She phoned in her x-factor job too.

  7. I think she'll be okay. A job performing the same show over and over again.
I really don't think she is being forced into this. I hope not anyway.

  8. Vegas residency will be good..I think, she'll live in a home (celine dions was amazeballs) she wont be on the road, her kids & bf with her and starbucks everywhere! Just cause u have a mental disorder doesnt mean u can't or shouldn't work..it helps to have to be somewhere daily like work!

  9. It will be like the Chris Angel shows, huge ticket doscounts and giveaways to fill the shows.

  10. I wish they'd let her move home and open a beauty shop. She looked so much happier when she went there for Easter.

This will make her a lot of money but it will force her to pull it together --and we saw on X-Factor--she didn't have a lot to offer except the occasional "It's amazing" comments.

  13. I think it's a good idea and a fairly easy way to make a ton of money.

  14. I don't think she is being forced into this either, it may be her (and her team's) exit strategy - go out with a big money contract, a wise investment strategy, and solid plan for retirement.

  15. I disagree with it being her forced or that she doesnt want to do it. She needs to feel normal; for her, thats work. I hope it works out well.

  16. I'll definitely be going to see her perform! ;-) Can't wait!

  17. Her family doesn't have access to the money, they just have the right to approve or reject what it's spent on. All parties, Britney and her father, have to sign off on spending and withdrawals. Also, she's choosing to do this. She asked the court to sign off, just like she asked the court to keep the conservatorship in tact. He father has made her a lot of money through investments. She's no fool.

  18. @AuntLiddy, I agree. A combination of performance/physical exertion and routine sounds perfect for someone in Britney's situation.

And I don't think they'll have any trouble getting rid of tickets. Britney's been around for 15 years or so, which means that her original teen fans are now in their early 30s and have money to spend. Hey, I'd see her if I happened to be in Vegas.

  19. I'll go see her next time I'm in LV.

  20. I think steady work will be good for her. Hopefully her family will let her stop when she needs to, though. I have always been a Britney fan and just hope she's happy one day.

  21. This sounds perfect for Brit. She can do what she does best (perform) with little other demands on her. She can see her kids- KFed would probably love to be put up in Vegas for awhile. And they have plenty o' Starbucks in Vegas, too. A much better fit for her than X Factor.

  22. I just want to know how anyone is forcing Brit Brit to perform against her own will?

  23. Ugh. There's still a Planet Hollywood somewhere? Vom.

  24. pump, I think they guilt her into it. How many people will lose their jobs if she retires, etc....maybe they don't tell her how much money she actually has....

All I know is for years now, Britney phones it is half assed, when she used to work her ass off.

  25. Britney Spears is now our generation's Elvis. What a shame, she had it all and could've still been on top...

  26. I'm bored to death of her, and have been since about 1999.

  27. I could love this, IF she revamps her clothing, wardrobe, overall style & stays sexy, but brings it up to her current maturity level. It could be great if she would re-master her hits and really own who she is now, not who she was at 19. Grown women are just as sexy as teens, just in a more sophisticated way, which I think would work great for Brit. We'll see, though.

  28. @The Fantastic Spazzomatic, I'm afraid you're right. Hadn't thought of it that way before you wrote it.

I just hope her father/care givers have her best interests at heart as opposed to the leaches who were around Elvis.

She seems to be fragile and [reportedly] has tons of money so why haven't her 'handlers' retired her to a comfortable life somewhere that doesn't require 'pap' parades to Starbucks, etc.

Maybe she NEEDS the personal exposure?

All I can say is that it offends me [But who am i to know her feelings/thoughts] to see this woman paraded out when she seems so oblivious to her surroundings. Although she seems to be mindlessly enjoying herself.

  29. "a carefully choreographed, lip-synched sing-a-long to various hits she's had over the years"

    LOL! I love the alliteration
