Danity Kane Reunites

I didn't think much of Danity Kane the first time around, but someone must have convinced the members of the group, excluding Wanita, that it was a great idea and they could make lots of money. Were they any good before? No, which is why they were broken up by Diddily Piddily after the reality show that launched them, failed to keep them going. They didn't really sell much before and I'm not sure what record company is going to want to take a chance on them. I guess they could just go out on tour and make a few bucks, but I don't think it will last.

  1. Admittedly, I don't care, but I did hear a lot of girls say they really liked them way back when.
Not sure that feeling will be string enough that they will still care after a decade, they're no Destiny's Child.

  2. *Any* money is better than what they are making now. Hell, I'm sure Aubrey O'Day has done much worse to earn the $10 she will earn from this reunion.

  3. I liked them back in the day, their 1 popular song was really catchy and fun. But you're a man so of course you wouldn't like them.

  6. wanita is rehearsing a play in Atlanta, that's why she wasn't there. But she is definitely reuniting with the group. these girls still have a fan base. It's crazy.

  8. They actually have very nice singing voices. I don't think they were disbanded because of lack of talent. It seems that Diddy mismanages most of his artists plus he has a short attention span. The second he creates one group he abandons them for the next.

    1. Remember when Diddy gave up on Mary J. Blige for Faith Evans? Lol, winning move there

  9. Uhh they are the first female group in history to debut their first two albums at the #1 position. They had two top ten hits off the first and Three of the second.

  13. The real issue hear is piddly diddlys theiving hands. They worked their butts off and he took the majority of the money. Actually that's what he's done to all his artists except cassie. She gets paid 50000 a month from his Record label even though she hasn't done an album in years and her last single was paid to be on Bet but wasn't played anywhere else. So many talented artists that are binded by his contract refuse to perform anymore because of the excessive royalty's and for his refusal to give them studio time. I'm waiting for the day for someone or something to bring down that joke of an "empire" so that I can listen to new music from 112, the lox, even Dream. I wonder if the girls were released from their contracts or if they were fired only for the show of it but still have to pay piddly his excessive royalty fees.

  15. The only person of that group that he kept around was Dawn. She was a part of that Whole Diddy Dirty Money CD.
He's only keeping Cassie around because they are in a relationship and I'm sure he's paying her for it.

I don't like how he broke up the group on TV but my least favorite of the group Aubrey did start to get a big head. She started to miss events by going off to do her own thing; Playboy Mag was one of them. But if you're in a new group that is just becoming popular you don't have the right to miss engagements that calls for all five members to be present. The girls were having major problems amongst themselves with all the in-fighting. Aubrey was the best thing about her season of The Celebrity Apprentice; I'l give that to her.

@Audrey you thought Danity Kane was a person. LOL
Yes it sounds like someone who is related to old school rappper Big Daddy Kane.

  16. I actually did enjoy their one hit...my heart is damaged...

let me emphasize that I was going through a break up when it came out so my poor taste in music could definitely be contributed to that ;)

  17. I quite dig that song Damaged (Hanging head is shame.)

  18. I'd REALLY better hang my head, because when I read the headline, I was all, "YES." I was, like, 24 when they were a (brief) big deal and I totally watched the hard-hitting MTV documentary "The Rise and Fall Of Danity Kane." THE SHAME.
