The National Enquirer is all hot and bothered that Macaulay Culkin is smoking three packs of cigarettes a day and is convinced it will kill him. Yeah, it probably will eventually, but I think the odds are greater that living with Pete Doherty is probably going to kill you sooner. Living with Pete and having a monster heroin habit is probably going to do you in sooner than the cigarettes too. I know they probably wanted to just show some photos of mac looking scary, and this was a good way. Plus you can throw up a headline like death scare and get people to buy a copy.
Wouldn't be the first person with Doherty around them to die in drug-related circumstances. His drug use was too much even for Kate Moss - says it all.

ReplyDeleteYou do understand he was one of the highest paid child stars, ever, right? He has millions. Always lived very simply, raised in the huge Catholic family in a one bedroom apartment, what he has spent, has been care of family. Mac's a great guy, I hate him hooking up with Winehouse's enabler.

ReplyDeleteIf he were awake 16 hours a day that would be a cigarette every every 15 minutes or so. So it could be true.
ReplyDeleteMy dad was a 3 pack/day smoker. He used to tell me that if you had to sleep in a snow filled trench in France during WW2 you'd smoke too just to keep warm. So he got hooked and it killed him. Not cancer, COPD. So 3 packs a day is easily done.
