Your Turn

"This is not the first time I've had all five, they're Sam and Lola's brothers." - Denise Richards talking about taking care of Brooke and Charlie's kids.

Should Denise have included her adopted daughter in that sentence?

  1. I think she means genetically. The four of them would be half siblings.

  2. At least she included her in the "5"

  3. Charlie is not her adopted baby's dad, so no, Charlie and Brook's twins are not the baby's brothers. Same with if Denise had any other bio kids that had a different dad.

  4. Yes!! Hopefully it was a simple overlook on her part... She is caring for 5 kids at this point.... But the adopted one is just as much hers as is Sam and Lola...IMHO

  5. @Chelle - she didn't say that the adopted baby wasn't hers; it's just that the adopted one isn't Charlie's.

Still seems weird that she would adopt on her own when she already had so many kids to care for

  8. Only the boys are Brooke's. The adopted child is her's and not Charlie's. Why should Denise reference her separately? She is already living with Denise and the girls. The boys are the add-ons in the house.

    Non-story here, please move along.

  10. If I were taking care of 5 children and remembered any of their names, let alone the relationship, you should give me a fucking medal. Enty, you said you're happy with Denise doing something great, just leave it at that, stop splitting hairs.

  11. @hag, by so many you mean two? I don't think most people plan on raising their ex's kids.

  12. I think that Eloise is Charlie's too - check out her brow. I'm guessing Charlie got a woman pregnant - possibly a Latina, based on Eloise's appearance - and Denise saved the day long before the recent twins' stay by taking a baby that the biological mother didn't want and that Charlie didn't want to have to deal with (other than pay for). More money for Denise. But then I read that she recently turned down more money for the twins while she has them? Negates my theory on the money motive, at least...

  13. Here's the breakdown:

    A = Her adopted baby
B = Her kids with Charlie
    C = Charlie's kids with Brooke

    A & B have a parent in common -- Denise.

    B & C have a parent in common -- Charlie.

C and A do not have parents in common.

This would all change if Denise would end up adopting C. Then they're all siblings. So until then, no.

  14. No, nothing wrong with what she said. And for some reason, I like her.

  15. I agree 100% with @Chelle.

Kids are kids, and they are all one family, adopted or not. It's nice to hear that Denise doesn't have any problems including all the kids.

Long story short - when I was a teen my baby half brother was living with his father, my step father (our mom had died). He remarried, and had more kids with the new wife. Those kids were jealous that I was their older half brother's sister, but no theirs. The only girl asked if I could be her sister, too, when she was only 5. I said yes, and we have been a family ever since, and I call all those kids my brothers and sister.

  16. I agree with Chelle. Really, there's no point in splitting hairs. They are kids that are in her care and they are family. The kids are siblings in her eyes. She obviously loves them very much and wants to provide the most stable environment possible.

  17. how would the twins be related to denise's baby, who she adopted AFTER her divorce from charlie?
twins and denise's 2 daughter's WITH charlie are 1/2 siblings. the baby and denise's 2 girls with charlie are full siblings. baby and the twins not related.

that would be like saying reese's baby with jim toth is related to ryan phillippe's baby with that model he "dated". the kids reese snd ryan had together (ava and deacon) are each 1/2 sibs of their parents baby's with other partners. but those baby's are not related to each other.

  18. Really? Give Denise Richards a break. Thank God she's around to take care of those kids among all that insanity.

  19. She DID include her adopted daughter in that sentence. She clearly said "all five."

    Leave Denisey alone!!

    She's doing a good thing.

  20. I don't understand - she was included, she is one of the five. Is it necessary to split hairs and nitpick because every child's background was not individually delineated in a single quote? Sheesh.

  21. I'm with the pro-Denise forces here. Right now, Bob and Max aren't Eloise's brothers. She takes them in, loves them, and does the best she can, but she doesn't know how long she's going to be keeping them this time. Until they're permanently hers, there's no reason to make things more confusing for any of them (the twins or Eloise.) If (when) Denise has permanent custody of them, then I'd consider them Eloise's brothers also.

  25. Good lord she mentioned 5.

Heck, hubby and I have 3, and sometimes when things get hectic, you can hear me yell..

    "You the oldest..
    You the middle
    You the girl child!"

I don't know why ENTY is throwing shade her way, not many women would take in the ex's kids.

    ReplyDelete
  26. She included her in the 5. Sam and Lola know those boys more than the adopted daughter anyways and they are related, a big part of their lives.

Nothing wrong IMO. I think she's a saint too.

  27. Wait wait wait.... Am I reading some of these comments right and seeing people say that an adopted child isn't a brother or sister to other children in the family?

If so, may I kindly ask you to go fuck yourself? An adopted sibling is just as much a brother or sister as one that comes from your parents.

Sorry, I'm just really sensitive when it comes to adoption.

  28. What's with the "should [she[ have" thing? That Richards didn't mention the adopted kid for whatever reason is supposed to be some kind of big deal?

@Rowdy- I think you are misinterpreting what people are saying..

    ReplyDelete
  30. @bflogurl I really hope I am. I'd really hope people wouldn't be that insensitive to millions of families.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think she meant it as an explanation as to why she is doing this. The boys are her (2)daughters brothers and she doesn't want to have to explain to them one day why she let them slip through the cracks, when she could have helped.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The twins are Charlie's kids but not Denise's. Denise's adopted daughter is not Charlie's kid. They are not siblings because they don't have a parent in common, not because of the adoption.

    ReplyDelete
  33. no, because they are not her adopted daughters brothers. They are biologically Sam and Lola's but not the adopted one. That is like me saying I am the sister to my fathers exwife's daughter from a previous marraige.. lol..everyone get that?

    ReplyDelete
  34. For kids being raised under one roof, yes, they are all family. I can't believe people are trying to break this down any further than it needs to be. The term family is all relative. I'm sure everyone here has exposure to at least one person who comes from a divorced, or single parent, or second marriage or adopted person. Yes, they are family. End of story.
I'm not on Team Denise but these are kids she's raising pretty well, considering the circumstances. Good for her. Better than I could do.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I understand that it sounds insensitive, but I'll give her a pass on it. It's not a matter of whether or not the kid is adopted, it's a matter of the familial tie -- which is a couple steps removed. They're not her mother's or father's kids, they're her mother's ex-husbands kids from another marriage.

Say that her adopted daughter wasn't adopted but the bio child of another man from a relationship after the divorce from Sheen. Do you still think that kid would think of Charlie's kids as her brothers?

The important thing is that the daughter knows her family -- Denise, Sam, Lola -- loves her completely. If she develops a bond with the boys, too, great. But they're her sisters' brothers, not hers directly.

Of course I refer to all my close friends as "Aunt ___" in relation to my son. It depends on the family.

  36. Taking care of all 5 kids, in her home and in her heart, makes them siblings. She's awesome for being there for those kids and I for one, admire her for it! Kids need stability and feeling like family is a positive thing for ALL of them. Way to go Denise!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Nothing wrong with what she said...she meant that she has them frequently because they are biologically related to her own children. She was just emphasizing that link, has nothing to do with the relationship the children all have with each other or how they view themselves as a family unit.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, for God's sake, Enty. Leave it, will you? What - did she turn you down or something? She is helping to save those kids by giving them a stable environment. Go pick on someone who deserves it - like LL or Amanda Bynes.

    ReplyDelete
  39. No, she shouldn't have. She didn't adopt her daughter when she and Charlie were together--it was only last year!

  41. Who remembers a few years ago when Brooke was mad at Denise for asking to use some of Charlie's sperm for another kid? Enty is saying that the adopted daughter IS Charlie Sheen's- but that would definitely be too weird for the public to handle, so Denise just said she adopted her. Therefore, they are all biological siblings.

  43. First of all, let's not assume that everything Enty says or hints is true, or that the guesses people make about them are true. I see people make just stupid guesses and because someone WANTS to believe it, they act as if a voice from on high said it. I realize this is a gossip site, but really?

Secondly, she is NOT referring to anyone's family but her own. The statement is not about anyone else's family. Enough with the 'in my family, we all call each other...', stop projecting. The woman is doing something many people would not do and you're STILL finding fault with her?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Topper - Your comment looks a little too close to algebra and I don't come here to do algebra.

And Charlie pays for Denise's house, cars, clothes, food, lawyers, plastic surgeries, and Botox (wait, scratch food) - so it's safe to assume he paid for her additional kid too. So really, they're all Charlie's.

    ReplyDelete
  45. But I agree with the general consensus, Denise didn't have to take in the twins (Bob & Max, not her b00bs). So props to her.
