Blind Item #1
This is one of the very few times I have ever had a blind item about this person that was not from several years ago. He slipped. He made a mistake. He lets his guard down and let a light of gossip filter out. He is an A+ list mostly movie actor who has A++ name recognition. They probably have an open relationship. Probably, but he paid an escort/stripper triple what she charges for an entire night the other night and had her for about 20 minutes alone in a private room at a club. It is not even so much that he did it, but the timing of it.

ReplyDeleteBrad Pitt. Affleck already won his awards so the timing of this slip up does not raise nearly as many eyebrows as BP would. Everyone is talking about Angie and Brad, between her piece in the NYT regarding her surgery and his directorial debut in world war z, coupled with how they're so well known for being so guarded, this blind is an authentic "easy, easy"

ReplyDeleteI find it fascinating how there is no in between for this couple. They are either saints or devils. There is never any real logic used when discussing these two people, i.e. that they are humans who do human things and have faults but also do good things. Other celebrities have people who like them still willing to go 'tsk tsk' when they do something wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt's like Pitt and Jolie can either do no wrong and any hint of wrongdoing will be explained away with a roll of the eyes at the thought that anybody would even judge them for it or they can't do anything right and any hint of awesome work will be spit on and anybody who gives them accolades will be branded as loonies.
It is incredibly strange and a really good subject to research for anthropological purposes if one were to be so inclined.
This is Angelina's fault. Speaking as a historian/sociologist, she did this to herself. She literally went from having this badass image to making herself Mother Theresa. She even married Brad Pitt, the complete opposite of Billy Bob to show us how 'good' she is. The UN, UNICEF stuff? She did this. I love her to death because i like how she changes herself and the good she has done but some people just don't see a happy medium. She made herself into a devil/ angel.
DeleteShe came out with a badass image, then changed completely....a happy medium would be someone like Grace Kelly or Princess Diana and Angie just doesn't give that off. Just my theory. I feel her transformation would be better tolerated in a place where sinners and saints are one in the same, in the publics eyes. America is not very forgiving.

Angelina Jolie will always and forever atone for her wild years. Jennifer Aniston will never atone for her crummy movies.
DeleteI like both of them, but it's ridiculous to suggest that Jennifer is a saint and Angelina is merely a sinner trying to overcome her past. Angelina Jolie's talent is vastly greater than Jennifer's, but Jennifer gets a lot of press and can half-open a movie (co-star #1). The media paints AJ as evil homewrecker, JA as victim, BP as the poor fella caught in the middle of Snow White and the Evil Stepmother.
What did she do to earn triple her normal nightly rate? Is that the going rate for remaining silent? Or did he get the celebrity inflated rate (similar to the wedding inflated rate)

I doubt this is Brad, although I think it's meant to sound like it is. Everyone's got eyes on him right now, his big movie is riding on his family image ... you think he's going to piss all that away by getting it on with a stripper now, when he can do that all he wants (if he wanted to, that is) when the promo's over? No, he's not that stupid, not even with all the drug damage.

Considering the people who were trying to get at him that night, the escorts/strippers couldn't get anywhere near him. Disappearing for a full 20 minutes? That's a laugh.

ReplyDeleteI don't think this is Affleck. First I doubt he's not been the subject of recent blind items, but second because isn't it practically fact that he's cheated on his wife before, so how would this be news?
ReplyDeleteBrad...I don't know. I'm totally indifferent to Brangelina but that would so cold of him to do it while Angie's been battling cancer. He'd be no better than that sleazoid John Edwards cheating during Elizabeth's cancer. I don't buy the open relationship thing either, whatever else they seem devoted to their children and I can't see any couple wanting to have an open relationship with so many children in the mix. I don't think this is him. Depp is a better guess, and he definitely seems crazy enough to do something like this but I don't understand how the timing thing would fit.
Ang doesn't have cancer. She had the mastectomy as a preventive measure. Due to hereditary medical history. But still it was major surgery, but hey, what do I know? Angie might've been down w/ getting their stripper on together. I could see that, she's bi after all.
