Blind Item #2

This B list mostly television actress should be careful loaning out her credit cards to her new boyfriend. Does he really need a $10,000 watch? $5,000 in clothes? All bought in under an hour. He is going to break her. It is all about the money.

  3. Who's dating Dolph Lundgren? Breaking someone sounds like something he'd say.

    1. The other Dolph Lundgren. We don't mention the actor around him, he gets upset.

Eva Longoria is my first guess, too. Surprised she would date someone who was broke. Not that she's a gold-digger, just that she only dates guys who have their own money for the most part.

I've been reading the archives lately, and Ent's hatred for Longoria is hilarious. At one point, he says "she's a greedy, got-lucky-once-at-an-audition tramp". I don't necessarily agree or disagree, but I just think the insult is priceless.

  6. Eva Longoria dated penélope cruz's brother. He is not exactly rich, as he is only his two sisters' brother and a crappy "artist" (whose "songs" have not been heard but for more than one hundred people) who would earn more money as a waiter if he wasn't in that family.
This could be her, she seems to like them on the verge of misery since she left the basketball player.

it isn't about if someone's rich on their own or not, it's about if they are a gold digger and just out to spend spend spend or marry then divorce you out of half of your money. Character is what matters.

The Cruz brother may not have been rich, but he has access to money that isn't Eva's. His mooching off his sisters is another issue, though.

But MOST guys she dates have full-time jobs and/or their own income. And she seems pretty smart about her money.

So her letting some guy mooch off her is surprising to me. Not an EL fan, but I think she's got some sense when it comes to taking care of herself.

  10. I once read an article on marketing in the watch industry. Apparently the manufacturer sells to international distributors at 100% mark-up, the international distributor sells to national distributors at a 100% mark-up, the national distributors sell to regional distributors at a 100% mark-up, the regional distributors sell to the retailers at a 100% mark-up and the retailers sell to you at a 100% mark-up. Bottom line is that your $10,000 watch is about $200 watch, $4800 marketing (to tell you how prestigious it is for you to wear it) and $5000 profit. My friends womnder why I wear $20 Timexs!

  11. @D Brown That is very interesting and I think a fine example of how capitalism works and humans fail, without irony, cohesively.

  12. Yeah, Eva's new bf. Ironic that tabloids refer to him as an entrepreneur when all he does is rack up massive debt. How does she not feel as though she's paying for his 'services'.

  13. Maybe she is. And knows.

  14. Not only does no one need a $10k watch. No one needs a watch. It's a piece of jewelry now. Turn in any direction & there will be a glowing readout of the time. Pull your phone out & you have the time.

  15. love that watch rant. prob true too. I think I need to start wearing the timex as well....

  16. She's dating that bachelor contestant from the dating show she produced. I just saw her on one of the talk shows and she admitted they were together and he had been staying at her house, as I recall.

Ready for Love, I think was the name of it? It got cancelled after about 3 episodes.

  17. @lazyday: Amen! Watches are corporatist tools that skew reality based on an arbitrary and illusory psuedo structure.
There's no such thing as time, man. For reals.

  20. His family has "never seen him taken by someone" like this before. Well, I'm pretty sure he's never quite hit the jackpot like this before. If he was already 4 million in debt, how long will it be before he burns through all of her cash?!?

  21. @Cathy -- Thanks for the DM link. Ya gotta love a SELF-described philanthropist/entrepreneur who goes bankrupt. He's gotta be a totally upright piece of humanity.

  22. @D Brown -- Any insight into the cost of my 'house brand' watch from Tiffany made by IWC [Swiss International Watch] specifically for Tiffany? I've always thought it was a pretty good deal. As far as i know, IWC -> Tiffany -> Me.

What kind of mark-ups there, if you know? [Not trying to be snarky w/you. Believe me, i know about a lot of mark ups in jewelry/gems.]
