A new memoir is being passed around town. It is written by this former almost A list actress from back in the day who did not do too badly in the awards department. Anyway, she has already been down this road before, so to make a buck she is having to share more family secrets. How about that a family member used to have to buy drugs for not only his dad, but also his mom and the son and the mom would do them together. Later, the so and the dad would do them together, but the new news is that the mom would do coke and meth with her son.

ReplyDeleteEver since it happened to Stevie Nicks, I am convinced that anytime someone gets a drastic and unflattering nose job mid-career, it's because of drug abuse. Especially when they don't talk about the obvious nose job. (With that caveat, I am absolving Jennifer Grey but leaving in Yasmine Bleeth who later talked about her coke addiction. Then there's Pepa from the rap group Salt n' Pepa. As far as I know, she hasn't talked about her nose job but it is terrible!)

Tatum's books are very sad to read. It is a shame she was never able to get passed her upbringing.

ReplyDeleteAs far as Patrick goes, isn't there a rumour that Ryan isn't actually his bio-dad, and Leigh tried to keep him away from RFO as much as possible anyway, so that's why he was able to do as well as he did? No biological predilection for addiction and not as much RFO contact?
ReplyDeleteTatum's books ARE sad. I feel like she's truly a sweet soul and I keep rooting for her. Watching her in that trainwreck show with RFO was heartbreaking. When he offered her tequila, I just wanted to slug him. The man is just scum. :-(
AKM, I never heard that Patrick may not be Ryan's dad. None of those kids really had a chance. I think between their genetics and upbringing they were doomed.

Recently I was watching an old Ryan O"Neil movie and was thinking to myself about what a good looking man he was. Too bad the craziness went along with him.
