Blind Item #10 - Kindness?
Not the typical form of Kindness blind, but, if I had been there, I would have thought it was kind. This Academy Award winner/nominee mostly movie actress was in a bar and bought a round of drinks for everyone in the bar. $2500. She then did it five more times. By the fifth time, the people ordering knew she was buying and were ordering crazy expensive drinks so that round came to $10,000. Total bill for the night was about $40,000 and this is an actress who makes a good living, but not $40K in one night kind of living.
Anyone except Nicole Kidman.

ReplyDeleteForgive me - 5 rounds of about 2500 is 12,500. The last round was 10,000 which makes the total 22,500. So the rounds had to have been increasing each time to get to 40,000 so not that much of a shock for her. It sucks that people took advantage, but I think she knew how much she was okay with spending or she would have stopped sooner.

Reese would have announced loudly, "Do you know who I am?"

ReplyDeleteThere's a british singer called Mika who my friend really liked. He held his album launch party in a pub on Portobello Road, annouced it on twitter and told people to come down if they wanted to. "Drinks on him". We went down. Expecting there to be a ton of people and there to be a capped bar tab and not to get a look in on the free booze. We were there with about 100 other people, we were there from 7 til about 11 (we lived the other side of london and were quite drunk so had to get home) and had such a great time. Mika dj'd and everyone had a dance and stuff. The next day I read that the bar tab was like £25,000!
