Blind Item #3 - Kindness

This B list celebrity/singer with an amazing voice and mechanics all her own was seated next to a couple yesterday at lunch and she overheard it was their anniversary. She called over the waiter and secretly made arrangements to buy the couple their lunch. Then she had another thought and bought lunch for everyone in the place at the time which was about 25 tables and then left before anyone could thank her.

    1. I recently paid for the dessert a couple was eating in a local diner as they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. I couldn't WAIT to escape so they would not know it was me-but it was really a kick. I was scrounging to have enough to tip the waitstaff, as I am pretty broke. But it just felt nice & right to do it.

If you ever need a little lift, pay for somebody's coffee or dessert... :)

  6. @SophiaB One thing I love doing is when I'm in a store looking for new Transformers (Yes, I still collect them at my age. I've gotten every American release since 1984 to the present) is to see a kid with parents I know can;t really afford the extra expense looking through the books or toys and then when I see the one they are most interested in, I wait for them to put it down, then i rush to the checkout with it and buy it. Then I find the kid with their parents and hand the bag to the parents, tell them what I did and then ask them to give the kid the toy or books when they leave and tell them Santa or whoever wanted them to have it for being such a good boy or girl.

Sometimes it's just a couple of bucks but there was one time I felt I had been really blessed by something that had happened (my Dad survived 3 heart attacks within 2 hours the day before) it was a $100 bike that they had waiting for them at the front of the store. I love kids and just to see them happy is really the only reasons I wake up in the mornings anymore.

So you never know. One of these days you might be at a store with your kids or grandkids and a guy with a goatee and usually a Batman symbol hat might come up to you with a bag of toys for them and you'll know who it is.

    1. That made me teary, I've thought about it when a kid is begging for something in the check out line but I didn't want to piss off a mean Mama.

  8. And that was awesome of Miz Florence, but I do so hope that:
    a) she is not longer boinking Sean Penn; and
    b) she tends to those icky scabs on her knees (the shorts photos). What's up with that anyway?

  17. @Megan00m if that was meant towards me, I never said I was a nice guy, I just mentioned something I enjoy doing for other people that is similar to the story of the celebrity.

On a related note, not 2 hours after I posted this I went to get gas and a girl was there with her mom and wanted a pair of $3 earrings. Her mom was using a SNAP card to get some milk and I was behind them in line. I asked which pair she wanted and I got them for her (a heart shaped green/emerald looking pair).

While I was getting my gas a HOT brunette (with glasses, my favorite lol) that was at the end of the line came up to me and said that was the sweetest thing she had ever seen and gave me her number and said "Promise you'll call me" and then asked if I was the one who posted about doing that on here, so obviously she reads this site. It's not the reason I do it, but I guess it was my turn to have a bit of luck come my way.
