The news that got the most attention was the man who killed his wife and then posted photos of her dead body to Facebook and in the caption said "I'm going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife." Even though he killed his wife, he did spare the woman's 10 year old daughter who was found unharmed yesterday afternoon in the home the couple shared.The husband said he killed his wife because he could not handle being abused any longer and that she was always punching him. This is interesting because a woman would be able to use that defense. I wonder if he will try and use that defense.
The post on Facebook remained for four hours before being taken down by the company.
In other Florida news, a mother and daughter have been arrested for the second time in as many weeks for offering 2 for 1 specials for $160 an hour. The pair offered to have sex together with a policeman or just let him watch. Yeah. Police say the pair are trying to support their drug habit.

Not only does Florida have a disproportionate amount of birth defects--which I found scarily odd in a state full of old people--but the alligator/crocodile population is being born with the sex organs of both genders. (There was a fascinating study done with untainted eggs from Texas, where they painted half of them with the pesticide used in Florida and left the other half alone. Guess which half were born with birth defects.)
ReplyDeleteDuring my not-nearly-brief-enough time living outside of Clearwater, someone in Orlando found a fruit fly. The state immediately began dropping pesticides out of helicopters. We were told not to worry, they were safe for humans, but that we might want to cover our cars because it would eat the paint off of them.

ReplyDeleteI read an article right after face eating guy was on the news that mentioned Florida's elderly population flushing RX medications that then go into the water system. In my state, they have "medication take-back" boxes where you take your RX meds (expired or unused) so they can be disposed of properly, plus a lot of pharmacies will take their own bottles back with the pills inside of them to be disposed of. All of that viagra going into the water can't be good for the crocs or the fishes, or those who eat them.
I don't know what part of FL y'all are in but where I'm at we have tons of butterflies, ladybugs and bees. In fall, there are millions of butterflies, it's where they gather to cross the Gulf and go to Mexico.

The natives are remarkably nice to those loudmouth know it alls when they should put them right on Flagler's railroad and ship them back to the shit holes they slithered out of. It's astonishing how quickly those fuckers can utterly destroy a gorgeous state. Florida is truly special, unique and amazing in so many ways. We have manatees, how could anyone hate the manatee state? And sea turtles, can't forget them! But please, if you hate it here, then stay away! We will not be upset, in fact the natives will thank you profusely. We don't need any more fucking golf courses or houses or any of that shit. Old Florida all the way!
Ugh I can't believe I actually have to agree with most of 888's *FIRST* post. I'm a FL native and I'm damn sick and tired of being tarred with the same brush as these crazy people. I'm an educated, well-paid, stable, computer programmer and for the most part, a good and responsible citizen.
