Your Turn

When you play the lottery, do you pick your own numbers or have the computer pick them for you?

  2. All auto pick since I play the lottery pool at work.
Or as we refer to it, the Redneck Retirement Fund.

  3. If i play it's usually a quick pick.
I'm too afraid to play when it gets this high, i have a small kid and i'm not sure if I would want $400m. I do always encourage my mom to play, she's super lucky.

    1. I hear ya but I figure if I win, I'd keep it from my kids too. I don't want any crackhead bums. There are so many lotto horror stories but we'll be okay.

  4. both! I like to differentiate a bit but I never win.

@madeinbrzil - That's wise, I only play when it gets super high so I can join in on the fun and the daydreaming.

    1. @Pink. Cheaper than a movie ticket and provides more hours of entertainment!

  5. Quick pick.

If I win tonight, I'm going to buy a farm and put up a phat house, spend like 1/4 mill on drugs and whores, then probably purchase some politicians. After all that is done, I'll just live off the interest.

    1. @JSierra. I work with someone who ran a pool that won over $20 million. One of the nicest people I know (so I can't even resent her for it) and not a curse among the bunch. She still has a pool going with those people.

I'm in her pool for this jackpot. I will be in any pool she lets me be in.

Speaking of which, one of the things she did with her winnings was to fill in her backyard pool.

  7. Okay who wants to take my 20 bucks via Paypal and buy me a ticket please? Assuming Canadians are allowed to win it. Oh and assuming you'd be honest and tell me I won it. And quick pick all the time. Too worried that my numbers would come up on a week that I don't play them.

    1. Dont think you can play it out of the us. Sorry. But I heard Canadians don't pay huge taxes on their jackpots. Cool.

  16. I checked once to see what percentage of winners chose their numbers vs computer generate. The numbers where exactly even. It's too much stress to pick my own numbers, so I let the computer do it for me. If I'm meant to win, I'll win.

  17. My own numbers. I read an article about a guy who's won the lottery 3 times and he said always pick your own numbers and use the same numbers each times. Better odds.
