Jon Gosselin Is Now A Waiter

I joke a lot in the Random Photos when I see a photo of a celebrity in a fast food place and say they are working on their back up career. I'm not sure if I ever used that line on a Jon Gosselin photo but he's now working as a waiter at a place called Emily's Pub. The former reality star who used to pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars a year simply for doing nothing is now literally asking people if they want fries with that. It didn't take long to get to the bottom and he did so in spectacular fashion.

I will give him kudos for working a job and trying to do what he can to help out his family. He must hate going to work everyday and having members of the public asking him if he is who they think he is. It would have been much easier to get some kind of telemarketing job and be anonymous. There he is though working lunch and dinner shifts. According to The Enquirer he is only pulling in about $40-50 a shift in tips.

Considering how Kate has not been able to regain her popularity either, I would advise them to both say screw it and pretend to get back together or have some type of reconciliation and then pitch a new show together. That would be way better than Kate suing the guy for money she won't ever get and making her children hate her.

  1. All the money the two of them wasted ...don't care about either of them.

  2. I can't knock a guy for working, regardless of the job. At least he's working.

  3. How he support twelve kids on waiter's salary? What about his old job writing computer code? Can't he get a job doing that? I wonder if this will turn into a reality series called "Broke Dad."

  6. +1 @ FSP

What a nasty, arrogant snob you are New Enty. I suddenly feel the need to take a shower. I'm no fan of the Gosselins either, but the way your mind thinks and works is despicable.

  7. Ugh! I thought we were done hearing about him & mullet queen.

  8. I hate the way Enty referred to this as "the bottom". I know what he meant but it still made me cringe.

  9. #1 FSP. Not a damn thing wrong with waiting tables.

  10. He's working, and not sitting around hoping for more publicity. I'm assuming this was the first decent job that called back, which is why he is there despite the low pay. I thought he worked with computers while he was on the show.

  11. + everything. If you want to knock the guy, knock him for wasting the money he used to have or for being a douche in general, but not for getting an honest job. That is commendable.

  12. This is a pretty offensive post to servers. I would've also hoped that someone who writes posts everyday would be able to use correct terminology.

A server is far from being on the bottom. In a mid range restaurant, a server can make $80k in a year. At higher end, more than $100k. When I work at a TGIFriday's when I was 20, I made $50k that year. Better than a lot of entry level jobs now.

  13. I hope none of the waiters or waitresses at the restaurants Enty frequents know who he is... smh

  14. At least he doesn't think he's too good for a real job, unlike his ex-wife. She acts like she graduated to stardom, now can't do anything but promote her kids, but keeps whining she makes no money. Nobody likes you bitch, and seeing you with your kids makes us all feel bad for your kids = NOT FUN or interesting. Time to give up on fame, lady, you have the charisma of a dog turd.

  15. How do you know her kids will hate her? I think she should abandon the suit too, but if not, her life not mine. Yea Kate was/is a bitch but Jon isn't exactly a choirboy. I don't even thinks he has to pay child support anymore per some settlement the two of them agreed upon. The least he can do is STFU.

  16. Yes. When he saw that his fame was at an end, he sucked it up and got a job. He could be doing all the fame-whoring that so many of these reality has-beens do, unfortunately not without success. The last thing he needs to do is think about reality television. He does need to think about his long-term employment prospects--wasn't he an engineer or something?

  17. Pubs are not fast food joints. He isn't asking people if they want fries with that.

  18. I know someone who makes more waitering at Capital Grille than he did at the finance job from which he was downsized. And he's far happier.

  19. Before he got famous, he had a decent job in the i.t. field. I guess he couldnt find a decent job doing what he did before?

    Very unfortunate.

  20. Emily's is a nice little restaurant. Jon was also working as a "Celebrity Bartender" at the Finish Line Pub once in a while. The real bartender loathed him because he tried to take her tips.

  21. Well, this is about it for me. I am rather sick of the fact that no one can win in Enty world.

Basically, this man is being trashed for getting a "real" job--which people have been screaming for him to do for years--and now, "Enty-who-knows-all" has recommended instead, he should get back together with his ex and continue fame-whoring on television again--when they were blasted for exploiting their children and clogging up our airwaves not that long ago??

Enty's double-think is mental and stupid, and really getting old. I'm just surprised that somehow this post isn't all Lindsay's fault.

This page is becoming "Perez-lite". I'm off to look for some other gossip pages that are more fun.

  22. This post is kind of insulting to waitpersons, but considering that I called them prostitutes a few days ago, I think it's pretty tame.

  23. He's got 8 kids, not 12. That being said, I wonder what percentage of his salary goes towards child support. Yikes.

  24. Nothing wrong with being a waiter. Honorable work. Good for him.

  25. You know what Enty. F.U. I've spent many years "on the bottom" No shame in it. He's working, not whining to the tabloids that he can't support his kids.

I wanted to believe this was still the original Enty. I've even defended you here that everyone's writing style changes over time. But over the past few months, I've changed my mind. This is either someone totally new, or you've become a bitter asshole. Last year you would have said "good for Jon"
    Be that guy again, please.

  26. FFS Enty, ditto everyone else. At least he's working

  27. This guy is a lazy PoS who brought all those kids into this world with no intention of caring for them the very minute it became difficult. Always looking for the easy way out. It takes hard work and study to maintain any IT career. It's an ever changing environment. Sounds like JonBoy learned one trick and failed as soon as that trick became obsolete. Fhim. This should be his second job after he finishes his IT job if he was caring for all those kids he put on this earth. Fhim again. PoS.

  28. she spent his money on hoes and cars right?

  29. Good for him. No shame in hard work.

  30. Enty, you just pissed off a hell of lot of waitpeople. I hope they don;t know your face when you go out to eat...

  31. Yeah, i think its fine that he works, and stays close to his kids. He cld move across country and email kids once in a while. In his way, he is paying dearly for his transgressions.

  33. Nice recommendation that they try to get another show so they can exploit their kids. Come on! I honestly applaud him for working a real job. Now if his c*nt ex-wife would only follow suit, they would be setting good examples for their children! It's a shitty job market. Maybe someday he'll be able to get back to whatever his pre-show career was.

  34. And another thing, I waited tables for a lot of years during and after college. I have no doubt that a lot of servers make a whole lot more money than I do with two college degrees, working in the medical profession! Regardless of how much he makes, at least he is working. Gawd, this one pissed me off!

  35. My sister made more as a waitress than she does a RN. Nothing wrong with working in the food industry, it is hard, respectable work. In this economy anyone is lucky to have a job.

  36. New Enty, I was going to harrass you for bagging on servers and being a prick about it but everyone else has best me to it. Carry on guys, carry on
