The producers of this hit network comedy are going to reduce the role of one of the stars of the show down to just a handful of episodes or release her from her contract because she keeps gaining weight. They are going to call it creative differences.
But they won't do that when an actress keeps LOSING weight. Assholes.

Delete@kassandra - first one that came to my mind but would it really be bad if smart daughter was a little chunky- she plays a great character on the show that would be missed if she didn't play off dumb/pretty sister.

ReplyDeleteI really hope this isn't Ariel Winter. I do wonder how they will continue to write her character since she is beginning to look more "Sofia-esque" (for lack of a better term). It seems like they are going out of the way to make her look more mousy, hence appearing "chunky".
ReplyDeleteV- you really think she is getting sexier I think just the opposite and that seems to be her role- the unsexy one. Don't care how big her tits get she will not be hot(at least not for some time.)

ReplyDeleteTexas Rose, this is what I mean. In real life she is very cute and tends to (tastefully) show off her figure - her Emmy look for example. The show makes her look dowdy and because she does have a good-sized rack, she ends up looking bigger than she is (similar to what happens to Christina Hendricks).

DeleteTrue V. I noticed she has "blossomed" and the little boy doesn't even look like himself anymore since he hit puberty. Sad if they are trying to shame her. She's a great character and isn't heavy by any stretch.

Ariel has gained weight but she is far from fat. She needs to learn how to dress her body type. She is always wearing WAY too short shorts in the Papp shots. It makes her look trashy.
ReplyDeleteAriel Winter is double her size this season on Modern Family and I'm sure the producers arent that crazy about all the courtroom drama from her family issues. Its negative publicity that they dont want to be associated with. I highly doubt she would get work after Modern Family.
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to say that Ariel was the first person to come to mind. I don't know that the writers could eliminate her character altogether, but I suppose they could send her off to college early. Hopefully I'm wrong, and this isn't anyone from MF.

ReplyDeleteThe little guy who plays Manny--Gloria's kid has been chunky from day 1--he was cast that way--so it would be unfair to treat her differently.
The producers would look like TOTAL SCHMUCKS for firing a 15-year-old over "creative differences." I refuse to believe it's her.

Also, the cast and everyone else stood solidly by her during her troubles with her mother. Why would the producers take this child through another traumatic situation by firing her? No one is that cold, especially when the show is still going strong.

I absolutely do not agree about Hannah Simone, since she is so slender, BUT she was not on this week's episode at all.
I predicted that Kat Dennings was going to totally thin out (even though I loved that she was so sexy and real) and she is crazy skinny now.
Was this ever revealed?
