Sean Avery Gets Engaged But Not To Andy Cohen

What do you do when you are Sean Avery and the world sees you every where with Andy Cohen and the tabloids start talking about how you are a couple? Well, you call up the woman you split with several months earlier after dating her on and off for years and ask if she wants to get married. To make sure you get lots of press about it you tell your friends to tell Page Six and the best part is your now soon to be wife, Hilary Rhoda is about to walk in the Victoria's Secret show on national television and you will be sitting there front row staring right at her for all the world to see. No one who dates guys would also be engaged to a Victoria's Secret model right?

How much do you want to bet that in a few months the couple will quietly split and there will be nary a peep from Sean's camp because then people would start asking again about Sean and Andy Cohen. No one might even know the couple split until Hilary is seen with another guy. Amazing how loud an engagement is and how quiet the splits can be when you want them to be.

  1. I remember watching Sean on WWHL a few years ago and thinking, "He MUST be gay. How can he NOT be gay?"

  2. It could be possible that he's just bisexual.

  3. Really?? The only thing I can remember seeing about Sean Avery is the whole Elisha Cuthbert "sloppy seconds" iamadouchebag thing. Maybe that's why he's so angry, I can't imagine a tougher sport to be in the closet during than hockey

  4. Who would care now? Does he even play hockey anymore?

  8. I don't know who the guy is, but that Rhoda is a great lady. Not only beautiful outside but a nice person to most. If she is bearding this dude for some months and then gets a straight person who loves her and she loves, I'm OK as long as she is happy.

  9. Nobody on the face of the Earth cares about Sean Avery, except Sean Avery. He was nothing but a 4th line checker/shit disturber when he played and absolutely no one in the league missed him when he left. A nothing nobody with a big mouth and a big opinion of himself.

  13. Apparently when you're an Entern, bisexuals don't exist in your world.

HAVE YOU NOT SEEN KISSING JESSICA STEIN?

  14. @Amber: I HAVE seen Kissing Jessica Stein and that movie was not even close to being about bisexuality. It was about an incredibly whiny woman who boned women for an "expanding her horizons" experience and then went back to men. The other woman was a former friendly who discovered she was a lesbian. Nary a bisexual in sight.

  15. I wonder if Andy Cohen is crying into his pillow over this.

  16. Wasn't there a blind saying this was going to happen

  17. Hockey is hands down to most accepting of homosexuality and the most homoerotic. I watched Youngblood (Robe Lowe movie) with a hockey playing friend who said that movie (which a pube shaving seen) didn't get into half what going down in a hockey locker room.

  18. @TalksTooMuch - you really think the Entern would grasp that? Also, it was a joke.

  19. Well, whoever is getting a piece of that is a lucky girl or guy.

I think Sean is super sexy but I always have a thing for the bad boys.

Sean actually announced his NHL retirement on WWHL and said he threw his skates off a bridge to celebrate. At least, I think it was a bridge. I remember thinking what a waste that was...he could have auctioned them off for charity.

Or at the very least let Andy display them in the WWHL clubhouse.

  20. @Amber: I don't think the enterns get a whole lot...sorry, got a little too excited that I HAD actually seen the movie. I talk too much

    +1

    Who?
    (He is kinda cute...)

  22. I'm so confused by this. Andy is openly gay.

  23. Honestly don't care if he's gay, straight, or whatever...I loved Sean Avery on the NYR. He may be a dick, but he was ours. The NHL had to amend the rules because of him LOL

I give you, "The Avery Rule..."

    1. I love Sean, too. And I will always hate Torts for how deplorably he treated Sean the last season he played for the Rangers.

  24. Well, you keep trying to get attention your way Sean, others have different ideas.
Brodeur got his 123rd shutout. Just for example.

  25. Andy respects people's need to maintain their brand. I suspect he is the brain child behind this scheme in the first place. Sean and Andy will live happily ever after one day. Viva shandy!

  27. Thank you TTM...That movie had zero to do with someone who was actually bisexual. Talk about creating a crap ass stereotype.
