This war between A list mostly movie actresses who are also Academy Award winners has reached epic proportions. #1 won the award but has way less nominations. She is the one who started the fight and has also threatened to expose #2's infidelities with her leading men. For her part, #2 has threatened to not only expose #1's infidelities but also release recordings of #1 having sex with a co-star when #1 got too loud and everyone could hear them outside #1's trailer.
Things have become even more nasty between the pair since Academy Award nominations were revealed. As they each do interviews leading to the Academy Awards look for something to leak concerning the blind.

ReplyDeleteBut the wording - "#1 won the Award but has fewer nominations" - makes it sound like #2 hasn't won the Award, despite the opening sentence. If the opening sentence omitted the semi-obligatory slash-nominee tag, it would fit Adams and Lawrence perfectly.
So I'm on the Streep-Roberts train. While I think Streep has had an openish marriage forever, Roberts would still be rotten enough to record a tryst, or drive Streep to recording one of Roberts'.
I am in a world where I think/hope that Meryl Streep is a classy lady.

I think this is bogus. There was another blind a while back hinting that this was Meryl and Julia. After all these years in the business would either of these 2 stoop to those actions?

Or, are we just assuming that both of them were nominated this year? What if the movie is nominated but not one or both of the actresses? Someone who everyone thought would be nominated but isn't is Oprah. I can see her being a vindictive bitch. Did she win for Color Purple?

ReplyDeleteWas just going to say that Bxrivr - that being said it did look like some weird body language/chemistry between them but they were holding hands. Maybe their hate for each other is not as strong as their ego's in wanting to get on that stage and present.

Nobody would be hurt by a leak that Lawrence cheated on her boyfriend. I don't even know if she's dating Hoult these days and she already has an Oscar from last year.
So, Meryl Streep vs Sandra Bullock? Bullock won for The Blind Side over Meryl Streep for Julie & Julia. That could be the starting point for the feud. But Bullock is single, maybe a closet lesbian, so…
Anyway, Blanchett has six nominations, Dench seven, and Streep 18.
I refuse to believe JLaw would be a catty bitch starting fights. I want to believe she is as down to earth and nice as she seems to be. And no way is Sandy B starting any shit. She is way too nice and classy. I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to start beef with Meryl. I bet she'd fuck your shit up in a hot second. Julia Roberts could be pissed that she was submitted for Supporting Actress, but Weinstein was smart to do it.
I can't decide watching Julia and Meryl together that if they are playing friends or playing frenemies and if any of what we see is real. Or maybe I don't care enough.
I have no idea if this blind is true - the two actresses in question were sitting together at the Golden Globes, and seemed to be communicating amicably - but it's been known for years that Streep likes to sleep with her male co-stars. She considers sex part of her "process" for a role. To her credit, she's apparently very discreet, and I have to believe her husband is aware of her infidelity. Meryl is the primary breadwinner, so perhaps that gives her the upper hand in the marriage? Maybe he has his own fun on the side?

Apparently they were at each other's throats while making August Osage County.
I remember reading something recently involving - I want to say - Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock. Maybe right after the SAG awards. One of them, in a speech, made remarks that seemed unequivocally bitchy, about the other. I remember being so surprised because you don't see A-listers doing that in public, usually. I just can't remember who said what about whom but if I had to put money on it I would say it was Meryl talking about Sandra.
