Amanda Seyfried no longer speak to one of her former best friends. Why? The former best friend is a B list mostly movie actress with D list talent who accused Amanda of hitting on her actor significant other. Not true. The actor was the aggressor and Amanda got out of there as quickly as possible and told the B lister who is not known for impartiality when it comes to her jerk significant other. He's a tool.

ReplyDeleteI had a friend like that, @Steampunk. I felt bad for her and when she finally got out of the abusive situation, we all rallied around her. Then she got into another relationship that wasn't too far from the previous - it was lather, rinse, repeat. Shut out and accused of chasing after her man.
ReplyDeleteI want to say be supportive of your girlfriends, especially those in horrible situations like controlling a*hats like BAG, but make sure you know that support has to be conditional on your own well-being. One of her friends, a friend since early childhood, took it particularly hard as she was going through chemo at the time. Xfriend A actually said that Friend C's cancer was "brought on by karma" - thanks to the douche nozzle she was dating.
It broke my heart. What killed me ( Haha) was she couldn't understand why I hated him when they would get back together..To her,.I must have been jealous

So, I pissed him off and she can't talk to me anymore.

ReplyDeleteThis happened to me as a teen. The girl NEVER came around to the realization that her boyfriend was the tool and never spoke to me again. Some girls never learn and grow up to be asshole women with no friends.

ReplyDeleteThe pathology involved in domestic violence and of repeating the pattern with a new partner is so fucked up that the only help you can really give someone is to be there for them and hook them up with a program staffed by professionals. It's much too complicated and crazy for anybody's friends to handle.
I feel like Amanda is a source for this site. Enty seems to like her, plus how would the Enties know this?
