Blind Items Revealed

September 16, 2013

A few years ago this highly anticipated network show was dropped after just a couple of weeks on the air. The show could have run a full season despite the horrific ratings but the female star of the show refused to have sex with the network person who could have left it alone. When she refused, the show was yanked.

Heather Graham "Emily's Reasons Why Not"

  2. Wow...Gotta be better ways to get laid. You literally killed a show because the lead wouldn't fuck you? Someone has their priorities messed up.

  3. Wow, I thought she considered casting couch time to be a business expense, like copier toner.

  4. Good for her, and is this why so many shows are being cancelled so quickly??? Efff you networks.

  5. Heather has standards now?

    1. I love Heather and yes she does have standards. Good for her but sad for her, too.

  6. Maybe she could have sold it to the E! Network as "Heather Graham's Reasons Why You Should"?

  7. Well now she is another Lifetime Queen

  8. Lifetime Queens get steady paychecks ask Melissa Gilbert.

  9. @Sandy, you keep Melissa Gilbert out of this thread!
I thank her and Little House for my subsequent career.

  10. i guess she had her reasons...

  11. @Kimba, are you a historian?

I adored Little House when I was a kid, read all of the books and then watched every single episode. When I was all growed up, I read Melissa Gilbert's autobiography (very good, I highly recommend it) and she said that the actor who played Mary was kind of stand-offish and her very best friend on the set was.... NELLIE OLESEN! She threw some shade at Pa, too, but I had already some things about him and wasn't terribly surprised. I still have a soft spot in my heart for Allison Arngrim, who wrote her own book, Confessions of a Prairie Bitch.

  12. Anyone ever watch the show Episodes, while it is comedy I suspect the ineptedness of the network TV programming is pretty much as represented - the new head of the network is a total fruitcake. I especially like the part when they are going through the pilots.

I applaud Heather myself. I doubt Microsoft consider sex with the boss a requirement.

  13. Sex before money? Huh.

  15. He should have negotiated. "No sex? Ok, how about some 69 and I'll let it go the full season? REALLY??!!?! OK then, a handy and I'll validate your parking."

  16. Love Episodes! Praying that they'll have another season.

I watched Heather's show. Thought it was cute but SATC light/ripoff. That's why I thought it was cancelled, because it was derivative. Obvs, I don't know much about the inner workings of TV!

  17. There was no need. She was already paid for the episodes she filmed and they were going to film any new ones.

  19. Well...good for her.

  20. My kid is an actress, if this happened to her...they're be one less network executive in the world.

I read this kind of blinds and, while I know this crap was prevalent a long time ago, how can this happen now? If this really happened, why wouldn't Graham have freaked out?

I think I've lived in a bubble. Oh, btw...see the pretty commas in the above paragraph?? Yeah, they're cool. Try them Enty.

  25. Mom? I tried to delete the second comment. Really. I hit the cute little trash can and everything.

    I'm sorry.

  26. It was on ABC so probably Stephen McPherson who has since been fired for something similar.

  27. I remember being disappointed and surprised when the show was yanked. Good for Heather!

  28. Unfortunately that city runs on power, ass, dope, and cash. And the biggest baddy-fame. Anytime you don't let them have a chunk of your soul, you won. Unless you have no soul, then carry on.

  29. @seven, let's say, I rock the bonnet! A historian of sorts, plus other bonnets, in a funny area of expertise. You'll know who Iam when Enty does reader pics (must remember to take selfie!) - it is an excellent country chapeau & I highly recommend for gardening, chicken tending, and overall cuteness effect.
Ask a seamstress to make you a few.
I was raised on Little House - Meanie's name and avi- makes me envious.
I clearly the remember the episode when a girl was raped in the barn. I didn't know what rape was until then, my mother was offended and so was I - it tarnished the story thereafter for me. I didn't want to watch that! They were getting desperate for storylines at that point and it wound down as a series. It's a show that makes me tear every time.
Read MGs wickipedia page, it's all about her conquests in the 80's - a who's who of stds.

    1. That's was Thylvia. If you read the LHOP forum on television without pity, they have their own names for the popular episodes. It's quite a funny read.

  30. Is that why Samantha Who? was canceled? That was cool show that never gained traction.

The network guy must have been really gross.

  31. My money is on former ABC Stephen McPherson for the executive. He was forced to resign from ABC back in 2010 amid sexual harassment allegations.
