Four For Friday - The Wife

Friday today. Last weekend of the Olympics. Yeah, apparently they are still going on. Just a few more days though. I have nothing to do this weekend and will be getting ready for the Academy Awards next weekend. If you want to hang out with me, I will be blogging all weekend with blinds and reveals and breaking news. I would love for you to follow me on Twitter. I am @entylawyer

This celebrity used to be A list. He used to be on television. He has been in movies. Used to have women throw themselves all over him when he performed. Now though he is a shell of his former self. His much younger wife calls the shots. She has a boyfriend in the mafia and the two of them have cleaned out the much older performer. They take every one of his paychecks. She says that she is watching his money but he has no idea it is just ending up in her pockets. When she needed to settle on a debt she managed to run a little scam that netted her over a million dollars and her husband was none the wiser. Our performer thinks he is still a stud and that women still love him but his wife arranges for hookers or strippers to come backstage after a show and pretend to be groupies. The husband loves that his wife never seems to mind when he spends time alone with the women. The wife rarely lets her husband touch her. She sleeps in a separate room and that is when she actually decides to sleep at home. Most of the time she spends the night at her boyfriend's home. She used to be a quiet, shy person and then when she got into trouble with some gambling issues she became an entirely different person. Quite the wife.

  1. Isn't this the plot of Casino? Anyways, I guess Don Johnson.

  2. Backstage after a show? So is this guy on TV or Broadway?

  3. Tv, movies and performer? Singer or comic I wonder?

  4. Jerry Lewis? The entire idea disgusts me though. My second choice would be Tony Bennett if hes married.

  5. I'm thinking a comic.

  6. Tony Bennett is married to a girl thirty years younger then him so hes my guess now.

  7. Is Rick Springfield married, and did he ever do any movies?

  8. This is really hard. I wish we had like 1, ok maybe 5 more clues.

  9. I have no idea, but this is a really bad situation.

  10. I wanna know more of this grifter story....
@Susan, no ways Steve Martin! He is too brillant to fall for a trap like that, have you not seen the Jerk?

This makes me think of Cassidy actually...older singer/actor...marriage with a younger woman that seems to have started out well, until she got bored & started gambling & losing

  12. My first thought was Regis and Joy Philbin, which is clearly wrong. It's those quiet ones that surprise you, though.

  13. Wait, nevermind. Sharon don't need help cleaning out poor Ozzie.

  14. Sounds to me like the perfect marriage . He's getting everything he
    Deserves.

  15. I'm guessing this is someone who plays in Las Vegas, either singer or comedian. I have no idea who is a Vegas regular, but this gold digger takes the cake.

  16. The Hoff came to mind, but I don't care to investigate.

    *how rumours get started*

  17. I like the Wayne Newton guess

  18. Hulk Hogan

    Ric Flair

    John Cleese

  19. No way would John Cleese fall for any of that nonsense. See guys? This is where chasing much, much younger vaginas gets ya.

    1. Not Cleese! I took Daddy Heisenberg on a date to see his "Alimony Tour" a few years ago. He spent the whole time joking about how he needed this tour because the last wifey cleaned him out. He even went on an elaborate rant on how much time over their marriage she spent on certain activities and then made estimates of how much she earned over their marriage during said activities ($10,000 for brushing her teeth...$500,000 for all the times I worked my ass off for her to say "not tonight...")
He then followed that off with a breakdown of how many other women he could have divorced for the price of her (I could have had 5 Pam Anderson's, 10 whoever I can't remember, or 500 toothless natives of El Cajon...) LOL I loooove him

Long story short, I'd be gutted if this were him. I really would hope he would know better this time around as well.

  20. Hulk Hogan has a young wife, seems to be full of himself and has been in tv and movies. He performed as a wrestler.

What does he do now? The current shows can't be explained because he quit wrestling and does online stuff now.

  21. There's a whole bunch of variables in this blind! Kelsey Grammar seems to fit; who else wouldn't notice a million missing or blindly submit to a dominant withholding skank. I'm stumped by the "when he performs" part though. Does Kelsey Grammar perform in anything nowadays? Can't be Steve Martin, he's mostly movies.

  22. Tony Bennett and Wayne Newton are LEGENDS. No way are they former A list.

It sounds like someone who was on a variety show in the 1970s.

  23. It was only a short while ago Hulk was in TNA. I'm sure he was making appearances before he recently signed a deal w/ WWE again.

@TTM: Younger Vagina is just like Drugs. You use them, you have no problems. You let them use you and it will be nothing but problems.

  24. That's what all the old dudes think, count, right until they are broke and banging fake groupies after the show

    1. Awww snap, TTM. Great banter as usual

  25. Annette Benning popped right into my head.. Maybe her, or because she was so damn good in Grifters.

  26. This is the most stupid CDAN fake BI ever. The Mafia is dead outside of Chicago and New York. No Mafia in LA.

    1. The lack of location/mob ethnicity is the only reason I can't seem to nail this one down. It could be Italian, Russian, Armenian...

If we are talking about CA, Enty could be referring to La Eme, but that would be more associated with drugs than gambling rackets.

  27. You forgot New Jersey…where there is a race track there is the mafia

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm guessing the mob still has some fingers in vegas casinos. I like the Wayne Newton guess. He definitely did tv too

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wayne Newton, wife Kathleen McCrone and the casino mob extortion deal he's involved in now. ABC News had a long report on it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "New York" includes Jersey when you're talking about LCN. They're completely out of the Vegas casinos too, and . This BI reads like a cheap Sopranos knockoff.

There's lots of organized crime in the US, mind you, but all the mob stuff is in Chicago and the New York metro area.

  31. Englebert Humperdink.

  32. @B Profane, shut your whore mouth! No sense-making today, it's against the rules!

Side note: I'm related to Wayne Newton. Seriously!

    ReplyDelete
  33. NY & NJ mobs aren't one in the same. Philly mob built Atlantic City, and still has stroke. NYC and Chicago just get the headlines.

    ReplyDelete
  34. This is a hard one. None of the guesses seem right so far. I have none of my own either unfortunately. Bleh

  35. Not Tony Bennet. His son is his management. I doubt he'd let his Dad get ripped off.

  37. when the mob owns a joint, even if they're forced to get rid of it, their first choice is to pass it off to a "friend" who's record is squeaky clean. They hate to take their fingers out of pie once they've had a taste.

  38. Neil Diamond's wife is 43ish and he's in his 70's

  39. Neil Diamond's wife is also his manager...

  40. Oh please let this be Jerry Lewis on behalf of female comedians everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  41. This needs to be someone lacking self awareness, and I therefore reject John Cleese as possible. Cool sorry about his show, Lady Heisenberg!

One of those nasty crossover specialists that had a few naff movies sounds perfect - Hulk Hogan sounds reasonable. I don't know the old tv entertainer types, but they sound like logical guesses too.

I take Mafia these days to be a more ethnically diverse term than referring only to the Italian Mafia, and organised crime exists everywhere. Except Russia, where they call it 'the government.'

    1. Nice one Alita. I'm going to steal that one sometime.

  42. There are different mobs out there other than the Italian mafia, like the Russian mob, and the mexican mafia, which is pretty powerful in California and the West Coast, not to mention all of the drug gangs and affiliates of the mexican and south american cartels. Being mobbed up doesn't necessarily mean meatballs anymore and hasn't for over a decade. But I'm thinking Wayne Newton is a good guess.

  43. Mike Tyson and wife, Lahika Spencer...she's a convicted felon and so is her mother. She's from Philly and Tyson has been working his butt off on Broadway and in movies. Would not be surprised if she collected on the insurance for the death of his little daughter from a previous wife. She's only 10 years younger than him though so maybe not.

    1. Oh, and one of her convictions was for a "no show" job, just like on the Sopranos.
