Lainey Blind

Remember his big snub?

Turns out it had something to do with his perfect wife. You wouldn't think anyone could hold anything against her -- the ideal mother, the supportive spouse -- but this goes back years, when she was a candidate for a set-up. A very powerful man set her up with a single man who needed a girlfriend. A professional meeting turned into him knowing everything about her -- too much about her -- and a very strange gift: wildlife. She ran the f-ck away and didn't look back, offending the major Hollywood player who tried to broker the romance. He was so disappointed in her that he put out the word -- he won't work with her anymore. And eventually, when it came for her now-husband to rise to acclaim, and against his own project no less, he called in every contact he could to make sure that the husband's name wasn't included, though in the end, even he couldn't control the outcome.

  6. As some of you may have seen from the earlier discourse on this, I say Ratner and his bowl of fapping shrimp as wildlife hahahaha

  7. Wait so what's Garner's special gift?? The single guy could've been Clooney or Cruise.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Can someone explain what the gift of wildlife from the potential suitor means?

I'm very confused. Who knew everything about her? The potential suitor or Weinstein?

  10. Jennifer Garner...all the way.

  11. OK, if I read it with Tom Cruise in it somehow, it sorta makes sense, I guess.

I guess I'm then confused as to who is the offended party who snubbed her husband? Weinstein or Cruise?

    Use pronouns properly, dammit!

    1. Apparently, Enty believes that pronouns are nouns, but professional ones ;)

  12. What the...?

I thought Lainey attacked this site back when that article was written about Enty.

    Have they made peace?

    1. @Bally Nope. Lainey still hates Enty.

  13. If this was for the Cruise wife auditions, I'm not sure why Garner is being singled out. Didn't Alba and Johannson also run away screaming. I think one of them even talked about their scary meeting with Cruise that turned into a Scientology thing.

Plus, Garner was in the middle of her own drama with Vartan/Affleck.

Lainey has a better reveal on her site today about Gwyneth.

  14. Thanks @CocoaBeachBunny, I'm late to the game today. Didn't see the comments in the other post about this blind until now.

  15. Saw this on onyd today and most of them seemed to think it was garner afleck cruise and the animal he bought her was a bengal tiger... So curious to know the story behind that buy. Was she a tiger in bed so he bought that as an inside joke?

Also who is the big power player since cruise is the single man.. I heard one director mentioned on onyd but cant cosign that one.

  16. Ah! I think I have it! Jennifer Gardner was set up by Harvey Weinstein with Tom Cruise who did one of those polygraph tests on her and then sent her a small owl(or something.) She bolted. Harvey was mad, so he tried to blackball Ben Affleck as a Golden Globe nominee for Hollywoodland?

  17. Wow this looks familiar. Was Entern upset that we all answered this blind and ignored the one it was posted on?
Bengal Tiger makes sense. There goes my bird of prey guess.

  18. Does "wildlife" mean crabs? Seriously, no idea what that is supposed to mean.

  19. By "wildlife" I assume Tommy Boy gave Jen a pair of his leopard print platforms?

    1. I'm with you, Reno. Maybe it wasn't labelled when it first went up (shrugs)? Enty normally never uses her stuff.

  22. I guess Weinstein couldn't keep Affleck from winning the Oscar for Argo..

  23. Affleck was snubbed for a Best Director nomination for Argo, but in the end, won best picture.

  24. I'm okay with Jennifer Garner/Tom Cruise/Ben Affleck but
What is the connection between Weinstein and Cruise? They never work together
and Weinstein loves Ben Affleck, they worked together several times and they try to work together again

  25. The bengal tiger gift from tom cruise to jennifer garner story is in Andrew Morton book on Cruise http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-508583/Mission-Impossible-New-claims-Tom-Cruise-romantically-pursued-Jennifer-Garner.html

    1. Thanks, Caroline David, I thought I'd seen this Garner/Cruise tiger gift before. So Harvey was wingmanning for Tommy Girl? With Affleck always cheating on her, what does she get out of all of this?!?

  26. Jennifer didn't work with JJ Abrams again after Alias. And I believe JJ Abrams is friendly with Tom Cruise.

    Presto!

    ReplyDelete
  27. But, the blind indicates "against his own project. Argo didn't compete against a Weinstein or JJ Abrams project, it competed against:

"Amour" Margaret Menegoz, Stefan Arndt, Veit Heiduschka and Michael Katz, Producers

"Beasts of the Southern Wild" Dan Janvey, Josh Penn and Michael Gottwald, Producers

"Django Unchained" Stacey Sher, Reginald Hudlin and Pilar Savone, Producers

"Les Misérables" Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Debra Hayward and Cameron Mackintosh, Producers

"Life of Pi" Gil Netter, Ang Lee and David Womark, Producers

"Lincoln" Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy, Producers

"Silver Linings Playbook" Donna Gigliotti, Bruce Cohen and Jonathan Gordon, Producers

"Zero Dark Thirty" Mark Boal, Kathryn Bigelow and Megan Ellison, Producers

  28. Silver Linings was a Weinstein project.

  29. I like the Sumner Redstone guess but Kristin is spot on with Silver Linings/Weinstein mention. Do we have a winner?

  30. The power player is Spielberg, who was up against Ben and Argo for Best Picture and would have been up against him for Director, if not for his supposed machinations. The blind clearly says "against his own project".

Not sure I believe this one though, although the part about Garner and Cruise has been documented in the past (that part's true).

It may partially explain though why Ben sucked up so badly to Spielberg in his acceptance speech last year for Best Picture.

    ReplyDelete
  31. And the part "..though in the end, even he couldn't control the outcome" referred to Ang Lee winning the Director prize anyway (and the Argo Best Pic win as well).

    ReplyDelete
  32. Does this have something to do with that not holding a grudge comment during his acceptance speech?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Some of this is in Andrew Morton's book about Cruise. I'm guessing JJ Abrams for the bigwig.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Great link, MadLyb! Totally JJ Abrams!

  35. I've never seen anything written by Lainey against Enty. As far as I know, she's never mentioned him. Could someone please explain, and/or include link? Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Bessie, she hasn't mentioned him by name but she also never mentions Kanyes fiancé by name either. It's thinly veiled with Lainey. Or at least it used to be a couple years back when the old Enty's blinds intersected with hers (see Liam Hemsworth/JJ/Watson). I think she threw up the Post article in the daily links when it came out but I don't remember her exact wording ( and don't want to paraphrase her bc she terrifies me).

  36. Sorry, I don't care who reported it, the idea of Ben Affleck being tapped to direct the first of the final trilogy of Star War is ludicrous. Those kind of gigs go to proven blockbuster helmers, which Affleck decidedly is not.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Who wouldn't run away from Tom Cruise right into Affleck's arms? Who?

    ReplyDelete
  38. All I know about Liam/JJ is what the MC insider spilled. I take it to be truth, because she has now clammed up, big time, and I think MC has distanced herself from her. MC supposedly believed LH, at first, then someone confirmed it, that was an eye witness. She was completely destroyed for weeks. She madly loved him, still does.

  39. Affleck/Garner/Cruise and Spielberg, not Weinstein.
    - Wasn't "Lincoln" considered the BP frontrunner before Argo took off?
    - Also, the Oscar nominations are only voted on by the members of the branches. I can see Spielberg getting the members of the Academy's director's branch to do what he wants just because they worship him. Harvey would have to scare them out of work to manipulate them, would this scare really work on directors?
    - Neither of them really has a reason to search a gf for crazy Tom. Only a fellow scientology member would have, and I don't think either of them is. But Spielberg has worked with Cruise on "War of the Worlds", maybe that explains it...
