The last time we heard from Oksana Grigorieva she was riding off in the sunset after turning down $15M from Mel Gibson when she thought she could get much more from him in court. It didn't happen so Oksana had to settle for trying to live on the $20K a month in child support Mel pays and the $2500 a month in child support that Timothy Dalton pays. A quarter of million doesn't go as far as it used to and Oksana filed for bankruptcy this week saying she only has $10 in cash and almost a half million dollars in debt. Her big expense is the $250K she owes her 5 separate lawyers who handled her case with Mel. She probably spends money every month on her music career which was never going anywhere. The only reason she got a record deal is because Mel had a label and he was having sex with her. She did manage to help destroy his career by recording his rants for the world to hear. She probably thinks she is too good to work somewhere for a paycheck and figures this filing will keep her from having to get a real job.
$270K/year and she's bankrupt? For God's sake.

She makes more in child support in 2 months than I make in one year as a retired teacher. I'm not envious of people with money, but the only effort she has made in her life seems to be bedding famous guys.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't fashionable to say at the time, but I thought her tape of Mel's horrible comments was pretty suspicious, because you had no idea what she was saying on the other side. Even the most awful stuff - that, I'd like to kill you, etc. - could have been response to something similarly vicious. Which is not to excuse Mel in any way. He said what he said, and he said it with a great deal of conviction. But her innocent victim story was always pretty shaky.

ReplyDeleteRobin was Mel's rock and when she finally said enough is enough, I have heard his kids were not happy with Dad AT ALL, I am sure along with his other issues he was a sad lost old man after or during the divorce, his world was falling apart and he was ripe prey for a viper.

People may not go to seem him act but they are going to movies his production company makes even if they don't know it and if he directs or produces anything soon, they will come if it is good.

He's been with me for too many years and I'm still telling myself that his behaviour/bigotry has been due in large part to alcoholism, a fanatic of a father, and possibly a chemical imbalance. I really root for him to turn things around and make amends, and peace with himself.

At this moment, however, I'm firmly with Mel--she was offered the kind of money most people can only dream of and she said no. All because it didn't occur to her to get a J-O-B or make a budget.
Still, I can't bring myself to say she ruined his career. Much as I love him, he did that himself.
Mel told the truth and paid the price. You'd think, if he ever wanted to work again in Jewlywood, he would've kept his mouth shut. Hope he gets it together, sad that someone who voiced a verboten opinion is ruined when someone who rapes children (Polanski and Allen, 2 examples...both Jews) are celebrated as heroes. But no way the Jews run Hollywood and that Talmud stuff is all made up lies!
