Blind Item #9

This permanent A list entertainer(singer) is on his own right now after his band told him they were done for good. Apparently our singer, while wasted, sitting at a restaurant he owns, started talking about all the times his band mates cheated on their spouses.

  5. I have no idea, but whilst googling' restaurants owned by singers' i discovered that Gaga's parents' restaurant is apparently 'worse than herpes'. So there's that.

  7. Um every band member with few exceptions have cheated on their girlfriends and spouses several times.

    I remember a documentary about Rush in the early days that opened for Guns and Roses and the guys from GnR could not believe how boring they were, and I am sure Rush were in shock meeting GnR but I don't even believe the boys from Rush were perfect all those years on the road.

  8. @Violet, remember when she was in the randoms once with a photo of her carrying a pizza box with the name of the restaurant prominently displayed, and the picture was leaked by her PR machine (of course)? Once it got out, there was a crapstorm on Yelp. One of the filtered reviews I saw said something like, "I can't wait to eat at this restaurant! They created someone as talented as Lady Gaga, they must create good food! XO, a Monster". {insert eyeroll}

  16. Vince Neil; Motley will soon embark on their "final for realsies" tour & he owns restaurants (ie Tatuado). He was probably griping because Nikki just got married for the third (?) time and Tommy is engaged again, so he was probably bitching that these won't work out either. Tommy and Nikki both had famous exes, most of whom they cheated on. Vince may be a bitter old hag, but he's probably right.

  17. I hate to admit I know this, but the band talking about Rush was KISS. I did some work with Rush years ago, and it's true. All on first wives still, except Neil and that's just a tragedy. The documentary is a treat, even for mon fans. Just a delightful story about friendship & loyalty.

    1. I think all the stories are the same-- nice guys, working hard, giving back, etc.

  19. It was Kiss Rush opened for. Rush wouldn't even be in the same room with G&R.

  22. Mama Kin was indeed an Aerosmith-affiliated club/bar/restaurant in Boston (I think the guys even played there a few times), but they've been closed for years now; that space, and the one next door that's been a club since the '60s, when it was the Boston Tea Party, have been taken over by the House of Blues. As for the blind, no idea, sorry...

  23. @Brenda This is pretty lame, but when I was in high-school a girlfriend of mine worked part-time at the resort where Rush liked to golf at times. She said they were very nice and great tippers. Geddy Lee learned to sing like that to be heard over the band, apparently. Big Rush fan here, from the start.

  24. Off-Topic: @Brenda Rush was also into Objectivism at the time, and they wrote to Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead etc.), but she never even acknowledged them. Her loss, I think.

    If it said "foreigner" permanent A list I'd say Robert Plant just because last year he said he was available for a Led Zeppelin reunion but Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones don't want it.

  27. This made me laugh.

    If he wanted out he could've just asked.
